Abstract onlyThis study used survey correlation research methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing variables affecting the relationship among the motivation, satisfaction, and purchasing behavior. The respondents to this study were 385 people who were randomly selected from among the residents in Chengdu. At present, the new fashion tea beverage industry is a very popular industry and often becomes a hot topic for the food and beverage industries and commercial investment. Consumers' behavioral intentions would be affected by their perceived value in the process of consumption. Consumers Satisfaction is judged according to the gap between the expectation before purchase and the results after purchase. It was not difficult to see that Consumers Satisfaction comes from the realization of consumer perceived value. Although the relationship between perception value motivations and customer satisfaction has been researched in other industries, there remains a gap in the literature regarding determining the factors related to perceived value motivations in the new fashion tea beverage industry. Therefore, this study utilized the method of online survey questionnaire aimed to identify the following aspects: the main components of perception value motivations, differences in the impact of demographic characteristics among motivation, satisfaction and purchasing behavior, the relationship among motivation, satisfaction and purchasing behavior, and provide some strategies to improve customer satisfaction and performance growth. The frequency count, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were employed for descriptive statistics. The t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson's r were used for inferential statistics, all set at .05 level of significance.Includes bibliographical referencesDoctor of Managemen

Abstract onlyNutrition and Vegetarian Cuisine Restaurant and Resort is the first and only vegetarian restaurant and resort where you can enjoy a plant-based meal that tastes like meat without cholesterol while taking in the serenity of the fishpond and the beach waves. This study aimed to determine the overall customer satisfaction level of Nutrition and Vegetarian Cuisine Restaurant and Resort in Tangalan, Aklan based on the 5A’s of tourism (accessibility, accommodation, attractions, activities, and amenities). Specifically, this study sought to profile customers of the restaurant and resort based on their demographic factors (age, sex, civil status, and highest educational attainment) and determine significant differences in customer satisfaction across categories of these demographic factors. To measure the satisfaction level of the customers, this study used descriptive research design and applied case study survey method using questionnaires which were distributed to 40 customers. Data showed that majority of the customers were below 20 years old and age bracket 20-29, female, and finished tertiary and post graduate education. There is an equal proportion of respondents observed between single and married respondents. The customers were found to be satisfied overall. Particularly, the respondents were observed to be satisfied in terms of accessibility, accommodation, attractions, and activities and highly satisfied in terms of amenities. Comparable satisfaction level was observed across groups of age, sex, civil status, and highest educational attainment in terms of 5A’s of tourism. The findings implied that all age groups, male and female, single and married, and all levels of educational attainments have the same expectations and standards in their perceived service delivery of the restaurant. A plan of action was proposed to develop the restaurant and resort for continuous patronage of the customers. Additional services were recommended to attract more customers and enhancement were denoted to be patterned according to the preferences of the highest proportion of their customers (young, female, and customers with higher educational attainment). It was suggested to the management of the restaurant and resort to focus and improve more on the four dimensions of 5A's of tourism which are accessibility, accommodation, attractions, and activities to level up customer satisfaction. Inclusion of demographic factors such as socio-economic level, religion, and address of the respondents were recommended for future studies. It was also proposed to conduct the customer satisfaction survey regularly as this determines what service of the resort and restaurant must be improved since demography never remains constant and its impact changes over time.Includes bibliographical referencesBachelor of Science in Tourism Managemen

Abstract onlyThis study was conducted to determine the implementation and utilization of the Virtual Reference Assistant (VRA) in 11 academic libraries of Iloilo during COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative descriptive design was employed. To ensure validity of the results, triangulation was utilized. Participants were librarians, faculty and students of schools with VRA. Interviews were conducted to gather data which were interpreted through thematic analysis. Positive impact of VRA on students and faculty members is evident from the findings. VRA librarians, majority of which are females, have a degree in Master of Library and Information Science or a Doctor of Philosophy. The VRA serves as a valuable tool for reaching out and assisting patrons who cannot physically visit the library during the pandemic. It provides various services such as communication, addressing inquiries, meeting information needs, and offering quick instructions and ready-made answers to frequently asked questions. Learning and teaching experience for students and faculty are enhanced with easy access to information. Participants reported sufficient technical expertise to utilize VRA services, with support from librarians. Thus, there is a need for training to ensure effective utilization of VRA among library staff and users. In conclusion, findings underscore the significance of planning, diverse access, flexible implementation, and effective leadership to address challenges for successful VRA implementation. VRA serves as valuable resource for students and faculty to enhance access to information and support instruction. By considering these implications, the implementation and utilization of VRA can be optimized to meet the evolving needs of library users.Includes bibliographical referencesMaster of Library and Information Scienc

    Get PDF
Journal articleIn the Philippines, the need for librarians to conduct research is both statutory and personal. Despite the impetus, few Filipino librarians embark on research. This study attempts to describe the lived experiences of librarians focusing on the angle that limits them to conduct research. Interviews were conducted online with 7 academic librarians from 3 private universities in Iloilo City. Facts about the reality formed from the respondents’ experiences answered the essential question why librarians are reluctant to conduct research. Five major themes emerged: (1) research competency; (2) inadequate formalized support from the administration for librarians; (3) research mentorship; (4) library routine work/multitasking functions; and (5) coping with self-pity and disappointment. The findings from this study, which is anchored on interpretivism, provide insights to a different perspective of investigating the realities in a developing country delving into a deeper discussion on the reasons behind their reluctance.University Research Center, Central Philippine Universit

Safe, disease- and substance-free snack contains foods in the proper portions and combinations. This paper generally aimed to determine the acceptability level and sensory characteristics of cookies among the students, faculty, and staff of a private higher education institution in Iloilo City. This study employed a descriptive research design with a survey questionnaire using the 9- point hedonic scale. There were 100 respondents selected through accidental sampling, mostly females, and were students, ages 18 to 20. Based on the findings, all sensory characteristics, including overall acceptability, had a high acceptability rate. It implies that the baked product was highly acceptable and received a high satisfaction rating for its sensory characteristics as perceived by the respondents. Using the T-test, both males and females showed no significant differences in all sensory characteristics: appearance, aroma, taste, texture, color, and general acceptability. Thus, this suggests that the product was accepted by all sexes. However, when respondents were clustered according to age, significant differences were found. Among the age groups 18 to 20, 21 to 25, and 26 and above, it revealed no significant difference in appearance, taste, or color, but there were significant differences in aroma and texture. Therefore, age variations and gaps impact food product acceptability and likeness. Some ages have sensitivity to smells and mouth feel.Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Managemen
