Journal articleThis study aimed to explore the relationship between the digital economy and green financing among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in China and to examine the moderating roles of financing, return, and attention effects on this relationship. Utilizing a quantitative research design and secondary research method, data were collected from green SMEs listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) and National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) from 2018 to 2022. Principal component analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted to examine the relationship between the digital economy index and green financing development. Additionally, moderating effect models were established to assess the roles of financing, return, and attention effects. The findings revealed consistent growth in the digital economy index with the mean rising from 0.457 in 2018 to 0.510 in 2022. The green financing development level indicator increased by 0.07 in 2019 compared to 2018, but slightly declined in 2020. It began to gradually recover from 2021, reaching its highest mean value of 0.599 in 2022. The financing effect eased SME financing constraints, the return effect reduced financial asset return disparities, and the attention effect increased public and investor interest in green SMEs. The study concludes that digital economy significantly promote green financing among SMEs. Although financing constraints and return disparities weakened this relationship, public and investor attention enhanced it.Central Philippine Universit

Full text availableThis study delves into the demographic characteristics and knowledge levels of monkeypox among student nurses at a private university, aiming to pinpoint gaps and guide educational interventions for enhanced disease prevention and management. Employing a descriptive-correlational design, 290 participants were selected via stratified sampling from a pool of 1,060 student nurses. Data collection involved a researcher-made questionnaire, ensuring ethical standards and voluntary participation, and statistical analyses encompassed descriptive statistics and inferential methods like Cramer’s V and Gamma Value to probe variable relationships. The findings unveiled a predominantly female demographic (69.0%) with a notable majority hailing from urban areas (54.8%) and falling within the 20,001 to 50,000 income bracket (37.9%). Knowledge analysis revealed remarkable accuracy (>90%) on pivotal aspects of monkeypox, with knowledge distribution across scores exhibiting relative evenness. The results underscored the nuanced interplay between demographic characteristics and knowledge acquisition, stressing the necessity for tailored health education strategies. Sex distribution mirrored existing research on cognitive and behavioral variances, while income exhibited multifaceted socioeconomic influences on knowledge levels. Minimal impact was observed concerning residence, emphasizing the intricacy of regional knowledge acquisition, and year levels reflected cognitive developmental phases, indicative of educational progression. Contrary to expectations, religious affiliation demonstrated little sway over knowledge levels, echoing broader findings on religion's relationship with cognition. These insights underscore the importance of considering demographic characteristics in designing effective health education programs, thereby enhancing disease management efforts among student nurses.Includes bibliographical referencesBachelor of Science in Nursin

Beyond the daily commute: Lived experiences of college students in commuting along the Ungka flyover in Iloilo

    Get PDF
Abstract onlyFor college students, it is crucial to have an environment that enables them to meet their academic success and overall well-being. Students are known for their fortitude to persevere through hardships no matter how much effort and courage it takes. This is more particularly true for those who had to travel to the university, attend classes and achieve their goal for productivity on a daily basis. Accordingly, the Ungka Flyover project was intended to help students get to school on time and offer them a glimmer of optimism. The main objective of this research was to study how college students at Central Philippine University’s actual commuting experiences along the Ungka Flyover changed the trajectory of their lives and their academic performance. The participants were (5) college students at Central Philippine University commuting along Ungka Flyover. Using the phenomenological approach to analyze their lived experiences, the data was examined and interpreted through the lens of the Ecological Systems Theory (Bronfenbrenner, 1979).The research results suggest that traffic congestion on the Ungka Flyover impacts student life, well-being and their academic performance negatively as they suffered from lack of sleep and fatigue, difficulty concentrating on studies, mental and physical health, unpredictable commutes disrupt sleep patterns, chronic stress and anxieties, mental health issues and a weakened immune system. It is recommended that future researches must have a wider range of CPU students, particularly those from different locations and programs in order to have a more comprehensive picture of commuting challenges as well as jeepney drivers, traffic enforcers, and local government officials to have more insights into the causes and potential solutions to traffic problems. Lastly, future studies must be conducted to explore proposed solutions to traffic congestion in Pavia and Iloilo City in view of improving the public transportation systems in Iloilo City.Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administratio
