    Analisis Pemahaman Konsep Pada Materi Pola Bilangan Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Solok

    This research is motivated by several problems that serve as the cause why some students have not maximally understood the concepts in mathematics lessons on number pattern material. The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding of concepts in solving problems on number pattern material in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Solok City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 27 people where 6 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Solok City were selected based on the results of their mathematics ability tests for interviews. Data collection techniques in this study were written tests and interviews. The results showed that students with very poor concept understanding ability only used information in the form of numbers contained in the problem, but could not utilize certain procedures or operations in problem solving algorithms

    Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Dalam Penyusunan Bahan Ajar Animasi Melalui Workshop Di UPTD SDN 11 Maek Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024

    The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of teacher competence in preparing animated teaching materials through workshops at UPTD SD Negeri 11 Maek odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year for 3 months. The subjects of this research were UPTD SD Negeri 11 Maek class teachers in the 2023/2024 school year totaling 6 people. The instruments used in collecting this research were observation sheets and field notes. Based on data analysis, it was obtained an increase in individual teacher competence from pre-cycle activities 61.6% to 72.5% in cycle I and 82.5% in cycle II. In addition, mastery of the components of animated teaching materials also increased from 61.6% in pre-cycle activities to 76.2 in cycle I and experienced a significant increase of 87.2% in cycle II. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that increasing teacher competence in preparing animated teaching materials through workshops at UPTD SD Negeri 11 Maek odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year

    Manajemen Pengelolaan Zakat di Masa Khalifah Abu Bakar dan Masa Sekarang dalam Rangka Meningkatkan Ekonomi Ummat

    Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui manajemen pengelolan zakat baik masa Khalifah Abu Bakar sampai sekarang dalam rangka meningkatkan ekonomi ummat, manfaat penelitian mengetahui sebesar apa kontribusi zakat bisa meningkatkan ekonomi ummat dan mengentaskemiskinan. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik literature review dengan ulasan kritis dari teori-teori yang ada. Temuan penelitian dimana zakat yang dikelola dengan manajemen zakat profesional dengan prinsip Good Corporate Governance terdiri dari empat prinsip, yaitu keadilan (fairness), transparansi (transparancy), akuntabilitas (accountability), dan tanggungjawab (responsibility). Hasil penelitian, manajemen zakat dapat meningkatkan ekonomi ummat dan berperang menyumbang sebesar 29,76% dari APBN tahun 2022

    FEMALE STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ON ENGLISH LOANWORDS IN BAHASA INDONESIA

    This research aims to assess and analyze the vocabulary knowledge level of female students on English loanwords in Bahasa Indonesia, specifically in the domains of fashion and cosmetics. The focus is on female students at the fifth semester of the English Department at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, as they are thought to use more loanwords and have an affinity for modern trends. The research population consisted of 81 students from the English education department, and a purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 59 female students. The research data were obtained from the Vocabulary Knowledge Scale (VKS) test, adapted from Paribakht and Wesche, which combines self-reports with performance-based evidence. The instrument was analyzed statistically using the formula f=p/n×100. Data were collected using the Vocabulary Knowledge Scale (VKS) test and analyzed statistically. The findings revealed that generally, the students' vocabulary knowledge level on English loanwords was at level four, indicating they could recognize the loanwords, knew their meanings and synonyms in Bahasa Indonesia, and could translate them back into English. However, they struggled to produce grammatically and contextually correct sentences using the loanwords. This suggests that while students demonstrated a good understanding of English loanwords, they are not yet fully able to use them effectively as a vocabulary learning strategy, highlighting the need for further emphasis on active usage in appropriate contexts.          &nbsp

    DEVELOPING ANIMATION-BASED LEARNING MEDIA FOR LISTENING BY USING CANVA APPLICATION

             This research aimed to develop animation-based learning media for listening using the Canva application for eleventh-grade students at MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Canduang. The need for this research stemmed from three main issues: (1) teachers' reliance on traditional media like loudspeakers and textbooks, without incorporating animation videos; (2) students' need for more interesting and engaging media in the teaching process; and (3) the lack of animation-based teaching media in the learning process. The research employed the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) version of the Research and Development (R&D) method. The developed media underwent validity testing by three experts (content, language, and construct), scoring 0.82 (valid category). Practicality testing by six practitioners (one teacher and five students) yielded a score of 0.82 (very high category). Finally, effectiveness testing with 15 eleventh-grade students at MAS-TI Canduang resulted in a score of 0.57 (effective category). The research successfully developed an animation-based learning media for listening using Canva, which was validated, practical, and effective for eleventh-grade students at MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah Canduang.

    STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF CAKAP APPLICATION AS A TOOL FOR LEARNING ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS

             The effective teaching of English speaking skills requires proficient tools that aid students in exploring vocabulary, forming sentences, and engaging in dialogue. The Cakap application, an educational technology startup from Indonesia, offers a platform focused on two-way online education. This research aims to evaluate student perceptions of using the Cakap application as a tool to enhance English speaking abilities, specifically among students at Arrofi'iyyah Semampir Probolinggo High School. The study employed a case study method involving students from SMAI Ar-Rofi'iyyah in Semampir Village, Kraksaan District, Probolinggo Regency. Data collection methods included observation and, in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that students have a positive perception of the Cakap application, recognizing its potential to improve their English speaking skills. Based on these results, it is recommended that SMAI Ar-Rofi'iyyah integrate the Cakap application into their curriculum to make learning more engaging and effective in enhancing students' English speaking proficiency

    TEACHERS’ PERCEPTION ON REFLECTIVE TEACHING PRACTICE IN ENGLISH FOREIGN LANGUAGE (EFL) CLASSROOM: A CASE STUDY OF ENGLISH NOVICE TEACHER

            The aim of this research was to explore the perceptions of English novice teachers regarding reflective teaching practices in EFL classrooms in rural schools. The study employed a qualitative description with a case study design as the research method, and data collection was conducted online through semi-structured interviews and reflective journals with five English novice teachers selected through convenience sampling at the secondary school level. The findings revealed that novice English teachers had positive perceptions regarding the implementation of reflective teaching practices. English novice teachers applied some reflective practices in their teaching, but some practices proved challenging for them due to a lack of understanding, limited preparation time, and a lack of collaboration with peers, hindering them from engaging in more effective reflective practices. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of reflective teaching practices by English novice teachers in rural schools was less effective in developing the quality of their teaching. This study suggests that teacher education programs, especially for English teachers, and schools should equip prospective teachers with adequate understanding and support. This can be achieved through structured training programs, mentoring initiatives, and learning communities to prepare future English teachers for a successful teaching career in rural settings by fostering effective reflective teaching practices

    Analisis Pelaksanaan Assessment dalam Kurikulum Merdeka pada Pembelajaran IPS Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Solok

    This research is motivated by the teacher's readiness to carry out assessments of students in the independent learning curriculum which has just been implemented at SMP Negeri 2 Solok City. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of assessments on class VII social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Solok City in facing the independent curriculum, the obstacles faced by class VII social studies teachers in implementing independent curriculum assessments, solutions to overcome the obstacles faced by class VII social studies teachers in implementing the independent curriculum assessment. The key informant for this research is the class VII social studies teacher and additional informants for this research are the school principal, curriculum representative and supervisor. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that SMP Negeri 2 Solok City has implemented assessment in accordance with the independent curriculum

    THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STUDENTS ENGAGEMENT AND STUDENTS ENGLISH ACHIEVEMENT

             This research investigates the correlation between student engagement and learning achievement in English among ninth-grade students at UPT SMPN 3 X Koto. Despite high engagement levels, low academic performance in English has been observed, suggesting varying combinations of behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. The study aims to explore how different dimensions of engagement impact learning outcomes in the context of English language learning. Utilizing a correlational design with total sampling, data was collected through a validated student engagement questionnaire and standardized English proficiency tests to measure learning achievement. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was employed for data analysis using SPSS 25. The findings reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between emotional engagement and learning achievement, emphasizing the crucial role of emotional factors in predicting academic success. The results highlight the importance of fostering emotional engagement strategies to enhance English language learning outcomes among ninth-grade students

    Model LOK-R: Strategi Efektif untuk Mengembangkan Disposisi Matematis pada Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the LOK-R (Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, Reflection) learning model, on Students' Mathematical Disposition on Curved Side Spaces. This study uses a type of quantitative research in the form of a quasi-experiment using a posttest-only control group design with non-equivalent groups. The population was 149 people with a sample of 30 people using Purposive Sampling technique based on data on students who have not studied curved side space building material. Data analysis techniques include normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample T-Test test. The results showed that: the LOK-R learning model (Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, Reflection) was effective on the Mathematical Disposition of Students of SMPN 14 Banjarbaru. This is supported by the results of the Independent Sample T-Test test showing that the Sig. (2-tailed) value obtained is <0.001 which means <0.05. The LOC-R learning model can be used in mathematics subjects as an alternative learning model, especially on curved line material
