The Surakarta Class I Detention Center is part of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections with 13 acceleration programs, one of which is empowering inmates to support national food security. However, inmate activities in the field of agriculture have not been carried out optimally. In addition, organic waste from the prison kitchen has not been properly managed, which has the potential to cause environmental problems. This community service program aims to empower inmates by managing organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer that can be used as a source of nutrients in hydroponic cultivation systems. The implementation methods include socialization, training in making liquid organic fertilizer, hydroponic cultivation practices, mentoring, and evaluation. The activity was carried out with 20 participants. The pretest results showed that 30-40% of inmates had an understanding of the hydroponic cultivation system and <30% had an understanding of household organic waste management. Hydroponic knowledge and skills increased by 100% and waste processing into fertilizer increased by 92% after conducting socialization and training activities. The average increase in knowledge and skills reached ±60–70%. The management of organic waste as hydroponic nutrients supports self-sufficient food security through increased sustainable vegetable production

This study aims to determine the optimal dosage of several effective microbes in increasing the growth and growth analysis of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) Cilembu variety. The study was conducted on Jl. Raya Bromo, Pasrepan 1 Hamlet, Pasrepan District, Pasuruan Regency, at an altitude of about 600-800 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 22°C to 32°C. This study took place from October 2024 to April 2025. The method used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with one factor consisting of four treatments and six replications. The treatments given included; P0: control (without microbial administration), P1: administration of microbes at a dose of 3 g l-1, P2: administration of microbes at a dose of 5 g l-1, and P3: administration of microbes at a dose of 7 g l-1. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test) at the 5% level. If a significant effect is found, the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test is performed at a 5% level. The results showed that the use of several microbes at a dose of 5 g l-1was the most effective dose in increasing the growth of Cilembu sweet potato plants. The 5 g l-1 dose produced the highest results in various growth parameters, including vine length, leaf number, leaf area, dry weight of the upper and lower parts of the plant, and leaf area index. Furthermore, this treatment also resulted in a higher plant growth rate compared to other treatments. The use of higher doses did not always result in significant increases, so the 5 g l-1 dose can be recommended as the best treatment to support optimal sweet potato growth

Organic fertilizer requires a relatively long decomposition time, and its final quality is greatly influenced by microbial activity during fermentation. The use of activators has been shown to accelerate composting and improve the physical and chemical properties of the resulting fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effects of different types of activators on moisture content, pH level, organoleptic properties (colour, aroma, and texture), and composting time of organic fertilizer, and to identify the most effective activator. The research employed an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with four treatments control, EM4, Promi, and Caturbio, each with five replications. Data were analyzed using one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and when significant differences were found (p < 0.05), mean comparisons were performed using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Organoleptic data were analyzed using the Kruskal–Wallis test followed by pairwise comparisons when applicable. The results indicated that the type of activator had a significant effect (p<0.05) on reducing moisture content and composting time, as well as significantly (p<0.05) improving aroma and texture. However, it did not significantly affect (p>0.05) the pH level or colour of the compost. The caturbio treatment yielded the best results, with the lowest moisture content (48.56 ± 4.01%), the best texture and aroma, and the fastest composting time (26.20 ± 0.83 days). The presence of microorganisms such as Azotobacter sp., Bacillus sp., Lactobacillus sp., and Trichoderma sp. in Caturbio played a key role in accelerating the decomposition of organic matter. It can be concluded that the type of activator influences the quality and efficiency of the composting process. Caturbio was found to be the most optimum activator in reducing moisture content, accelerating decomposition time, and enhancing the aroma and texture of the compost compared to the other treatments

The limited engagement of students in religious practices and the dominance of normative, dogmatic character education hinder the reflective internalization of religious values. This study explores the integration of prophetic pedagogy within a Didactical Design Research (DDR) framework to foster religious attitudes among elementary school students. Conducted over 16 weeks in a fifth-grade class at SDN Babakan Jawa I, Majalengka, the study involved 20 students and two teachers. The research identified three main learning obstacles—ontogenic, epistemological, and didactic—which were addressed through tailored didactical interventions such as structured reflection journals, role-playing, contextualized examples, scaffolded exercises, and student-centered learning. Findings show that these strategies significantly improved students’ moral reasoning, reflective thinking, empathy, and the application of religious values in real-life contexts. The study demonstrates that prophetic pedagogy, when implemented through DDR, can create transformative, contextual, and value-oriented learning experiences. This approach contributes a practical model for character education rooted in reflective religious understanding

Indonesian has a strategic role in the world of education as the main language of instruction as well as a means of developing students' cognitive and character. However, the reality at SDN Teta, Lambitu District, shows that students' mastery of Indonesian is still low due to the dominant use of Lambitu and Bima languages in daily interactions. This study aims to analyze the impact of the use of regional languages on mastery of Indonesian language material and the multilingual learning strategies implemented by teachers. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, documentation studies, and focus group discussions (FGD). The  findings reveal that local languages play a positive role in improving students’ mastery of the Indonesian language subject at SDN Teta. The results of the study showed that students had difficulty understanding academic vocabulary, sentence structure, and Indonesian pronunciation, but the use of regional languages actually helped understanding the material through translanguaging and code switching strategies. Teachers utilize a contextual approach based on local culture so that students are more active and involved in learning. In addition, parental support and school policies also play a role in optimizing bilingual strategies in the classroom. In conclusion, regional languages play a dual role, namely as an obstacle because they give rise to linguistic interference, but at the same time, they are an effective bridge towards mastering Indonesian. This study emphasizes the importance of an integrative, contextual, and inclusive multilingual approach in improving the quality of Indonesian language learning in multilingual areas
