    Indonesian language lessons essentially teach students to be able to communicate using correct and communicative sentences. Indonesian language lessons at school aim to improve the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Based on this description, the aim of this research is to implement the PQ4R Model (Preview, Question Read, Reflect, Recite and Review) to improve the learning outcomes of Grade 4 Students at SD Negeri 3 Tulisharjo, Ngaringan in cycle I and cycle II. This research method is classroom action research which uses 2 cycles. The results of this research are that the implementation of the PQ4R Model (Preview, Question Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review) can improve the Learning Outcomes of Class 4 Students at SD Negeri 3 Tulisharjo. This is indicated by the increase in classical learning completeness in the research class, namely in the first cycle only 10 students reached the KKM out of a total of 16 students, increasing to 14 students who reached the KKM set by the school

    This study aims to determine students' critical thinking skills in solving open ended type questions in terms of learning motivation on System of Linear Equations with Three Variables material. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 SMA Institut Indonesia Semarang which were selected based on the results of the questionnaire test and the results of the test instrument trials. The research subjects were selected based on a learning motivation questionnaire from 24 students of class XI IPA 1, 3 students were selected consisting of one subject with high learning motivation, one subject with moderate learning motivation, and one subject with low learning motivation. Data collection techniques using learning motivation questionnaire instruments, written tests, documentation. In the research technique analysis is carried out, namely reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking technique uses technical triangulation. The results showed that 1) students with high learning motivation were able to fulfill all indicators of critical thinking, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation, 2) students with moderate learning motivation were only able to fulfill 4 indicators of critical thinking, namely analysis, evaluation, inference, and self-regulation, 3) students with low learning motivation are only able to meet the indicators of critical thinking analysis and evaluation

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Structure and Written Expressions pada TOEFL ITP di SMAS Tunas Bangsa Bintan

    Structure and written expressions are among the TOEFL ITP tests containing 40 questions. The relatively short processing time and the number of questions that are not small require students to do this test quickly and thoroughly. There need to be special tips and intensive training for students to conquer the structure and written expressions test. This activity aims to share the strategy for working on the TOEFL structure test, with the target of student activities at SMAS Tunas Bangsa Bintan. This activity was held online via the Zoom application and was divided into two meetings with a duration of 90 minutes for each meeting. The material for this activity was prepared based on the pre-test results, which were carried out a few weeks before the activity. The methods used in conveying the material are lectures, exercises, and questions and answers. The data for this activity were collected through questionnaires and documentation. Overall, this activity took place conducive, and students felt helped by it. In addition, from the results of the post-test, it appears that there was an increase in scores after students participated in this activity

    The progress of the times in the realm of art, makes traditional art increasingly eliminated. This is because traditional music has not been able to take advantage of technological developments, one of which is digital recording using the DAW Cubase 5. The purpose of this study is that the Runtiq Bulau Dance Studio will be able to document and record music digitally. This is one way to maintain the traditional arts of the Dayak Benuaq Tribe. The method used by the implementation team is descriptive research. The implementation team uses lectures, question and answer, and experimental methods. The lecture and question-and-answer methods are used by the implementation team to provide material. The experimental method is used by students to apply the material that has been given. Students can record music digitally using DAW Cubase 5. The instruments recorded were Kelentangan, two Gimars, and Gong recorded on four tracks. The recorded music is plate dance accompaniment music. In the mixing process, VST maximizer and reverb are used. This is done to maintain the authenticity of the sound from the instrument of tradition. VST Ozone 8 is used to simplify and speed up the mastering process. Now Runtiq Bulau Dance Studio can produce digital music independently

    Curriculum development and its implementation in the classroom requires the full support of teachers for its implementation to be successful. The teacher is an important aspect in the process of developing and implementing the curriculum. For this purpose, teachers need to provide ongoing training that enables them to become more professional and better understand the independent curriculum. This service activity was carried out for MGMP Biology teachers at Brebes Regency High School. The method of implementing community service is carried out through three stages, namely: the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The training was carried out using an andragogy approach, where the training consisted of more demonstrations, questions and answers and practice as well as mentoring. The training material is presented with more practice than theory, with a ratio of 25% theory and 75% practice. The evaluation stage is carried out by giving a response questionnaire to evaluate community service activities. Service activities have been able to increase understanding and mastery of the independent curriculum. This is evidenced by the results of the activity showing an increase of 21.50% of the participants' knowledge after participating in the activity. The output of this service is scientific articles published in the Pelita Journal and publications in online media

    Teacher professionalism always views doing something right and good (do the right thing and do it right). Consequently, he will always look for strategic and systematic ways in his learning process to create a conducive and enjoyable learning situation. This service activity aims to train and assist teachers in making learning videos with the Camtasia software. The service activity was attended by 36 teachers and was carried out for three days of activities. The training was carried out using an andragogy approach, which consisted of more demonstrations, questions and answers, and practice and mentoring. The training material is presented with more practice than theory, with a 25% theory to 75% practice ratio. The success of the training was demonstrated by increasing participants' understanding regarding the use of the Camtasia software in making learning videos. The results of the questionnaire showed that there was an increase in participants' understanding of video making and learning video editing techniques. This is indicated by a visible increase in the mean pretest score of 57.78, which increased to 92.83 during the posttest. Meanwhile, the ability to create media was demonstrated by the fact that as many as 20 training participants had made learning video products. This means that service activities increase teacher skills in learning video media

    Students' difficulties with science subjects are followed by low student creativity in the learning process. Low student creativity causes low mastery of concepts and ultimately results in low student learning outcomes. Based on the science learning results for class VII.A of SMP Negeri 2 Mranggen for the Final Assessment of Semester 1 for the 2022/2023 Academic Year in class VII.A, the average was 65, while the percentage of learning completion in the 2022/2023 Academic Year, Semester 1 was 70%. To overcome the above problems, it is necessary to develop learning models that can meet student needs. In this research, researchers apply Differentiated Learning through the Problem Based Learning Model. The research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. At the second meeting of each cycle, an end-of-cycle review is carried out. The aim of this research is to increase student creativity and learning outcomes on the interaction of living things and their environment. After the end of the action, it is hoped that the average student's classical creativity will reach the Very High criteria, classical learning completeness is expected to reach 85% with the class average score reaching 75. The results of the research show that the application of Differentiated Learning can increase student creativity and learning outcomes as indicated by an increase in the average classical creativity score, the average score of test results and the classical completeness of test results. In cycle 1 the average student creativity score was 76, reaching the High criteria, while in cycle 2 the average creativity score was 88, reaching the Very High criteria. The average value of the test results for cycle 1 = 67 and cycle 2 = 78. Completeness of classical learning results for cycle 1 = 80% and cycle 2 = 87%

    The aim of this community service is: 1) to provide knowledge to the people of Karimunjawa Village, Jepara Regency in understanding basic sports massage, 2) to provide skills for handling sports massage and sports injuries. The sport massage activity for the people of Karimunjawa village, Jepara Regency, which will take part in 20 residents and youth youth organizations, will be held in April. The methods used are demonstrations, questions and answers, problem solving, and direct practice of the massage process. The results of the activity are as follows: 1) Karimunjawa village residents can know the stages of handling sports massage and sports injuries, 2) Karimunjawa village residents feel satisfied with the results of the training and hope that training will be held at a broader stage regarding knowledge of injury management using the community's sports massage approach Karimun Java village, Karimun Java sub-district, Jepara regency. Aini and Siswono (2014) state that solving math problems is an important part of learning mathematics. improving problem solving for grade 3 students at SD Negeri 02 Rowosari Subdistrict Ulujami using the PBL model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the research design model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart (1988). The subjects of this study were all 3rd grade students of SD Negeri 02 Rowosari, Ulujami District, Pemalang Regency, semester 1 of the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 24 students. The results of this study are that there is an increase in the problem solving of solving student material based on the stages of Polya through 2 cycles with each cycle consisting of 2 meetings
