Das Kaufverhalten der Konsumentinnen und Konsumenten während der Corona-Pandemie
This thesis is intended to show the motives for consumers in Generation Y and Z to increasingly order their products online. Furthermore, it will be examined to what extent the buying behaviour of consumers in Generation Y and Z in Austria has changed because of the Corona pandemic. Moreover, it will be examined whether Covid-19 leads to increased impulse buying in the perception of the target group. By identifying the online purchasing behaviour of consumers, this paper aims to help online retailers to better understand and evaluate the current crisis of their customers to provide a suitable online service and pleasant online buying experience. In the increasingly competitive online shopping environment, it is unavoidable to observe the factors that influence potential customers during their purchase. In general, an online website should understand the buying behaviour of its consumers to establish and maintain a positive relationship. The detailed study in the literature section formed the basis for a better understanding of the topic, and the quantitative analysis (survey) made it possible to explore the motives and purchasing behaviour of generation Y and Z towards online shopping.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202

Diskriminierungsfreies Recruiting für Frauen muslimischen Glaubens : eine qualitative Forschung im Bereich Recruiting, Diversity Management und Talent Management, mit Frauen muslimischen Glaubens als Zielgruppe - unter Betrachtung des Fachkräftemangels
Today's western European society is more divers than ever and Austria faces a significant rise of individuals of Muslim faith, caused by present regional conflicts in the middle east and the politics of the Austrian government in the early 1960s. The aim of the following master thesis is to ascertain, how the HR Management has to structure recruiting processes so that women of Muslim faith do not face discrimination and to elaborate if or what kind of advantage companies can generate, when establishing recruiting processes free of discrimination. The research question focuses on women of Muslim faith and what kind of discrimination they face during recruiting processes. For that reason, it is essential to give the reader of this master thesis an overview about the Islam and the role of women in Islam and how the Islam developed itself in Austria. As the focus of this thesis is on recruiting as part of Talent Management, the reader is given explanations on recruiting methods and selection proceedings. This allows the author to present the most suitable and convenient selection method regarding antidiscrimination of women of Muslim faith. The second part of the research question focuses on the advantages companies can generate when establishing recruiting processes free of discrimination. For this purpose, the author of this master thesis gives the reader a profound introduction of Diversity Management and shows - with the aid of data and analyses from different companies - how Diversity Management contributes to the cooperate success. To complement the findings of literature research the author presents the results of the empirical analysis, where seven experts were interviewed on the research question.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
Die Bedeutung von Trennungsmanagement für Unternehmen
A termination, regardless of voluntary or unvoluntary, is always a difficult situation for everyone involved. There are often insults or unappreciative actions that can have a negative impact on the company's reputation.
This paper deals with the question of what offboarding management looks like in general and then it outlines how the offboarding process could look like in the company BBRZ - Berufliches Bildungs- und Rehabilitationszentrum.
First, there is a theoretical discussion of the topic and, with the help of the literature, a possible offboarding process is then outlined. As a result, the empirical part examines what offboarding management looks like in practice. Based on the findings of literature research, expert interviews were conducted in order to not only get insights into companies but also to gain new knowledge if necessary.
Empirical research confirms the theoretical findings. The goals of a well-managed offboarding process are the respectful interaction and fair treatment of all involved to limit any possible damage on both employee and employer side.
A guideline, that should state essential points of the offboarding process of a company, contains recommendations for exit and termination interviews, communication, farewell design and processing of information from the exit interviews as well as the preparation and follow-up of the offboarding process as well as training for managers. It also shows that special attention should be paid to all employees, as terminations can be a great burden both for employees concerned as well as their colleagues.
Based on these findings, the paper includes possible courses of action for BBRZ to successfully establish professional offboarding management.
The COVID-19 pandemic triggered by SARS-CoV-2 has favored a digitalization of work processes in the wake of lockdowns. This has not only led to the establishment of telecommuting but has also brought to the fore ethical and legal issues arising in the deployment of robots and algorithms in the context of the employment relationship. This paper traces their intersections.Magistratsabteilung 23, Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Statistik Stiftungsprofessur für Arbeitsrecht im Digital HR-Managemen

Zero-footprint agriculture : an eco-balance driven radical design
Agriculture has been with us for at least twelve thousand years now. As long as agro-tech was limited to human power or draught animals and nutritious inputs were from soil “as-is” the systemic impact of agriculture was within the resilience capacity of nature. This does not mean that agriculture was always side-effect free, and cases of local depletion, with dire consequences for the population, are known — at the level of the natural ecosystem our activity had though little effect. This changes with the advent of industrial agriculture roughly 300 years ago. In the short period since then, agro-tech has managed to significantly and systemically deplete and pollute and outright destroy ecosystems at a global scope. Agriculture as we practice it today is neither sustainable with respect to nature nor can it, long-term, ensure the our needs.
Sustainable agro-tech systems, that is zero-footprint systems, seem feasible, if the distributional problems can be resolved at the technical and managerial level. Technology is not the show-stopper nor do we lack the necessary knowledge. The open issue is “only” at the engineering level, though engineering in its broader sense of socio-technical engineering. The problem space seems to be clear, the solution space being explored might turn out to be wrong. For the diversity of plant-soil systems we have it is not expected that a credible one-fits-all solution at the technical level can be found, rather the establishment of general principles does though seem possible.
The Agro-Frame outlined here may be a solution or at least a system that is developing in the right direction — zero-footprint agro-tech systems. To achieve this rewinding agrotech to drop the historic bias and limits seems necessary. Technology is, as always, a blessing and a curse, we have the knowledge to apply our current technologies to shape a sustainable agriculture. If selection of technologies and application of the same is to the right level of abstraction the zero-ecofootprint agroecosystems seem doable.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
Real estate replacing bonds as a low-risk investment
This paper’s purpose is to answer the question of whether real estate can replace bonds as a low-risk investment in private investors’ portfolios. This is done by first qualitatively assessing risks related to real estate and on the other hand to compare them to bonds and how these two assets behave in relation to equities. The data used to represent real estate investments stems from Austrian real estate investment funds, for the analysis of bonds and stock performance, broad European index data was used. In the quantitative part, first, the assets are analyzed univariately, then a factor model and an autoregressive model are applied to capture dependencies between the assets. The focus of the factor approach is to assess the sensitivities of real estate and bond returns to equity returns and the relative contribution of equity variances to the low-risk- investment variances. From the estimated Vector autoregressive model, we calculated the impulse response functions and the forecast error variance decompositions to obtain how shocks to equity returns dynamically influence bond and real estate returns and how important these shocks are in explaining variance. We show results for three different periods. First, we show results for the whole sample period where data is available, second, we analyzed the time after the financial crisis from 2009 to 2019 and then we set the period to the covid pandemic in 2020 and 2021. To better assess the time-varying pattern, the factor model was also applied to rolling windows.
The results were consistent in the sense that we saw strong time-varying patterns of the influences that make it difficult to generalize any outcomes. Over longer periods although both assets showed strong and similar diversification properties. Because of increased uncertainty due to macroeconomic, political, and social developments, we cannot know whether what was true in history will be true in the future, but we saw that since the financial crisis real estate would have been a good replacement for bonds. This showed true also for the pandemic where equity markets showed increased volatility.Masterarbeit Wien, Fachhochschule des BFI Wien 202
