PROFILE OF HIGH ALERT MEDICATION STORAGE AT PHARMACY X IN MAJALENGKA REGENCY

Look Alike Sound Alike (LASA) drugs are drugs that have similarities in physical appearance, name, or pronunciation that can cause medication errors. Improper storage of LASA drugs is one of the main risk factors for dispensing errors in pharmacies. This study aims to evaluate the appropriateness of LASA storage at Pharmacy X based on Ministry of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016. This study used a descriptive method with an observational and analytical approach based on the guidelines of Permenkes No. 73 of 2016. The study sample included all LASA drugs available at Pharmacy X, categorized into three groups: similar pronunciation, similar packaging, and drugs with different strengths. Of the total 59 LASA drug names evaluated, it was found that 91.52% of the drug names had been stored in accordance with the standards of Minister of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016, while 8.48% still required improvements in the storage system by labeling all LASA-categorized drugs with the "LASA" label and using the Tall Man Lettering method for drug names that have similar pronunciations. The storage of LASA drugs at Pharmacy X is generally adequate. However, careful implementation of labeling and the use of tall man lettering are still required to achieve optimal standards and prevent medication errors. Medication errors can occur if drugs are not stored properly and are not labeled or marked, allowing for mistakes to be made when dispensing medication

During the Covid-19 pandemic, people with heart disease are patients who are at high risk of severe severity if exposed (Indonesian Association of Cardiovascular Specialists, 2020). Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Association of Cardiovascular Specialists (PERKI), Isman Firdaus, said that the Covid-19 pandemic which has been going on since the end of 2019 has become a concern for heart disease sufferers. Considering that exposure to any infection, including Covid-19 infection, can worsen cardiovascular diseases such as the recurrence of coronary heart disease or chronic heart failure (RI, 2019). One of the important efforts in preventing the occurrence of cardiovascular disease that can be done is to identify the risk factors for cardiovascular disease from each individual. There are several models to detect risk, one of which is by using the Jakarta cardiovascular score [2]. Health promotion is also one of the efforts in managing modifiable risk factors for heart disease (Handayani, 2010). Health promotion is expected to prevent risky behaviors that lead to an increased incidence of heart disease in the long term. This study aims to see the effectiveness of early detection and health promotion on changes in attitudes and lifestyles of residents at risk of heart disease after the covid-19 pandemic. The research method in this study uses a quasi-experimental design with a total of 30 respondents in a group of 1. The research was conducted in the working area of the Puskesmas of Pasar Minngu District, Jakarta. The results showed that after intervention by conducting early detection and providing health promotion, there was a change in attitude of 0.8 points, from 88.13 (before the intervention) to 88.95 (after the intervention). The results of the T test were obtained p value = 0.004, meaning that statistically there was a significant difference between before and after the intervention. The respondents' lifestyle also changed by 5.5 points, from 66.03 (before the intervention) to 71.62 (after the intervention) with p value = 0.004 which means that statistically there is a significant difference between before the intervention and after the intervention was carried out. &nbsp

This research was conducted due to the low motivation of the community in the work area of the Brand Health Center to build CTPS facilities, healthy latrines, and clean water management systems. The limited ownership of these facilities is a major factor contributing to the failure to achieve key indicators of STBM, such as the high prevalence of open defecation. This study employed an action research design with an observational approach and educational interventions. The process began with problem identification through observation and surveys, followed by community education and assistance in constructing CTPS facilities, managing clean water, and building latrines. Before the intervention, residents in several villages within the Brand Health Center area were less motivated to develop CTPS facilities, clean water systems, and latrines, due to low knowledge, financial constraints, and limited awareness of the importance of a clean and healthy lifestyle. After direct education and mentoring, there was an increase in motivation and independent efforts by the community to establish these facilities. The results showed improvements such as a reduction in open defecation, the adoption of handwashing with soap, and better practices in managing drinking water. To ensure sustainability, it is recommended that regular supervision and continued assistance be provided so that these achievements remain consistent in the long term

The improper management of diaper waste in Liliba Village, Indonesia, poses a serious environmental and public health concern. Currently, diaper waste is often discarded indiscriminately without prior processing, resulting in unpleasant odors and public complaints. This study aims to analyze community perceptions regarding diaper waste and to map its spatial distribution within Liliba Village. Employing an observational research design, the study investigated two main variables: public perception of diaper waste and the spatial distribution of diaper waste. A total of 111 respondents, all of whom were parents of toddlers, were selected as the study sample. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. Analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate statistical techniques. The results indicate that both gender and occupation significantly influence community perceptions of diaper waste and their views on proper waste management. Spatial analysis revealed that diaper waste is primarily found in temporary disposal sites (TPS) and in various unregulated locations, especially within the buffer zones surrounding residential areas of the respondents. These findings highlight the urgent need for targeted waste management education and infrastructure development to improve sanitation practices in Liliba Village. The integration of spatial data through GIS provides valuable insights for local authorities to implement geographically focused waste intervention strategies

The Impact of Precocious Puberty on Oral Health and Craniofacial Development in Children: A Scoping Review

Precocious puberty is defined as the appearance of developmental characteristics of secondary puberty before the age of 8 years in girls and before the age of 9 years in boys. Hormonal changes related with this condition can influence oral health and craniofacial growth, not only general physical development. Children experiencing precocious puberty may have advanced dental age, expedited skeletal maturation, malocclusion, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and alterations in oral microbiota. This study aims to identify the current evidence on the structural and functional impacts of precocious puberty on oral health and craniofacial development in children. This scoping review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines. A systematic literature search was retrieved using PubMed and EBSCOhost, includes publications from 2015 to 2025. The search focused on oral and craniofacial changes in children with precocious puberty, using specific keywords and the Population, Concepts and Context framework. Total of nine studies conducted from 2015 to 2025 on oral and craniofacial characteristics in children with precocious puberty. The studies used various designs, including cross-sectional, case-control, observational, and systematic review. Main topics included dental development, craniofacial growth, TMD, maloclusion, and oral microbiota changes. Most of the research involved children with precocious puberty and performed in several countries, and majority was in South Korea. Children with precocious puberty have substantial anatomical and functional changes in the oral and craniofacial complex. Dental and craniofacial changes occur earlier and progress more rapidly, necessitating timely diagnosis and interdisciplinary management. Awareness of these manifestations is essential for pediatric dentists, orthodontists, and endocrinologists to ensure optimal treatment planning during the critical growth period
