Get PDFThis work constitutes an in-depth study (although not exhaustive) of the Spanish version of the book Susurros de amor (Whispers of Love) by Bouchrail Echchaui. Computational stylistic methods are used, using the ProComenta computer application. Starting from the words of the text, conclusions and objective evaluations are reached that help to understand the profile of the book studied and, consequently, of the author.Este trabajo constituye un estudio en profundidad (aunque no exhaustivo) de la versión española del libro Susurros de amor de Bouchrail Echchaui. Se emplean métodos de estilística computacional, utilizando la aplicación informática ProComenta. Partiendo de las palabras del texto, se llega a conclusiones y valoraciones objetivas que ayudan a comprender el perfil del libro estudiado y, en consecuencia, de la autora

Get PDFIn the current context, a globalised world in which Spanish is among the most studied second/ foreign languages, this monograph seeks to focus on some of the aspects of linguistic variation in Spanish by considering four novel proposals. More specifically, in this special monographic edition of the International Journal of Foreign Languages (RILE), five specialists in this area consider linguistic variation from a language-teaching perspective. The papers that comprise this monograph were researched and written by international researchers that are well-established in their field, working in Colombia, China, and Italy respectively.En un mundo globalizado en donde el español es una de las lenguas más estudiadas como LE/L2, este monográfico pretende acercar algunas de las cuestiones relativas a la variación lingüística en español mediante cuatro propuestas novedosas. How can uncomfortable heritage be museumized? The role of personal biographies in the spaces and museums of traumatic memory
Get PDFMolts museus de memòria integren en les seves exposicions biografies personals per reforçar les seves explicacions i continguts. L’article reflexiona sobre les tècniques i estratègies utilitzades per recollir i mostrar aquests relats, tot assenyalant-ne les possibilitats però també els límits. S’analitzen diversos exemples de museus d’arreu del món per veure com es presenten i utilitzen els testimonis biogràfics i la seva interrelació amb els objectes exposats, i s’indiquen també els debats sobre els problemes ètics d’aquestes presentacions, en especial els dubtes sobre el grau de literalitat de les narracions que han de fer-se sobre el sofriment de les víctimes. La utilitat social i expogràfica dels relats personals en aquest tipus de museu és molt important, ja que permeten una aproximació més pròxima i vivencial dels fets viscuts. S’assenyala que, malgrat el paper central de les entrevistes i els relats en l’antropologia, la nostra disciplina ha contribuït poc a la configuració d’aquests museus, tot i que un major enfocament antropològic podria contribuir a remarcar el paper dels relats biogràfics en les exposicions i permetria superar alguns dels problemes conceptuals i expogràfics que es plantegen.Many memory museums have personal biographies as part of their exhibitions to reinforce explanations and content. The article discusses the techniques and strategies used to collect and show these stories, and points out their possibilities but also their limits. It analyses several examples of museums around the world to see how biographical testimonies are presented and used, describes the relationship they have with the objects exhibited, and points out the debates about the ethical problems of these presentations, particularly the literal nature of the narratives about the suffering of the victims. The social and exhibitive use to which personal stories are put in this type of museum is very important, as it allows a closer and more experiential approach to lived events. Despite the central role of interviews and narratives in anthropology, our discipline has contributed little to shaping these museums, even though a greater anthropological focus could highlight the role of biographical narratives in the exhibitions and overcome some of the conceptual and exhibitive problems that need to be solved
Conmoción, conmemoración, olvido. La memoria de los difuntos durante la pandemia de la covid-19
Get PDFAll deaths caused by an extraordinary cause (if it makes sense to speak of natural deaths) generate an impact on society, the magnitude of which can be explained by the events or by the high number of deaths. Drawing on the idea of collective death, a concept developed by Gaëlle Clavandier (and which takes into account not only the shock caused by these extraordinary situations but also those phases that are then entered into by societies to pay tribute to their deceased, as a way of initiating the transition towards overcoming what has happened), I will analyse some of the commemoration ceremonies that were organized in various Spanish localities, as a tribute to those who died as a result of Covid-19, following the declaration of official mourning by the Spanish government on 26 May 2020. The analysis of these commemorative acts must highlight their performative dimension, as Paul Connerton suggested, but at the same time, I suggest that this process of institutional appropriation of the memory of what happened can be interpreted as an exercise to overcome these social mourning events and begin the process of progressively overcoming and forgetting the social tragedy experienced. Maurice Halbwachs’ classic reflection that society tends to eliminate from its memory everything that can separate individuals seems very relevant to understanding the organization of these ceremonies.Todas las muertes provocadas por una causa extraordinaria (si es que tiene sentido hablar de muertes naturales) generan un impacto en la sociedad, cuya magnitud se explica por lo sucedido o por el elevado número de defunciones. Recurriendo a la idea de muerte colectiva, concepto desarrollado por Gaëlle Clavandier (y que tiene presente no solo la conmoción que provocan estas situaciones extraordinarias, sino aquellas fases que a continuación son elaboradas por las sociedades: homenajear a sus difuntos, como forma de iniciar el tránsito hacia la superación de lo sucedido), analizaré algunas de las ceremonias de conmemoración que fueron organizadas en diferentes localidades españolas, como tributo a los fallecidos por la covid-19, tras la declaración de luto oficial decretado por el Gobierno español el 26 de mayo de 2020. El análisis de estos actos conmemorativos debe destacar su dimensión performativa, tal como sugiere Paul Connerton, pero al mismo tiempo sugiero que este proceso de apropiación institucional de la memoria de lo sucedido puede interpretarse como un ejercicio para superar esos duelos sociales e iniciar el proceso hacia la progresiva superación y olvido de la tragedia social vivida. La clásica reflexión de Maurice Halbwachs, según la cual la sociedad tiende a eliminar de su memoria todo lo que pueda separar a los individuos, parece muy pertinente para comprender la organización de estas ceremonias
Entre la memoria y la historia: el aborto y los derechos sexuales y reproductivos en Ecuador en la segunda mitad del siglo XX
Get PDFThis text aims to make the disputes over sexual rights visible, taking abortion and women’s sexual and reproductive citizenship as the axis of analysis. To do so, I will use interviews with a medical activist who began campaigning for these rights in the 1990s and who has taken active part in the debates for the decriminalisation of abortion in the constituent assemblies from 2008 to the present day. This life story will be combined with archival work. Although by 2021 these rights had become part of public policy and women’s struggle for citizenship, it must be recognised that they are the result of a process in which memory and history intersect. This analysis is important not only because it helps to understand the ways in which the body and sexuality are historically and socially constructed and to show both the endurance of conservative values and the struggles to break them down, but also because it shows the place of memory in this dynamic.Este texto se orienta a visibilizar las disputas por los derechos sexuales tomando como eje de análisis el aborto y la ciudadanía sexual y reproductiva de las mujeres. Para ello me basaré en entrevistas realizadas a una médica activista por estos derechos que comenzó su accionar en los años noventa del siglo xx y que continuó participando de manera activa en los debates por la despenalización del aborto en las asambleas constituyentes de 2008 hasta la actualidad. Esta historia de vida se conjugará con trabajo de archivo. Si bien en 2021 estos derechos ya son parte de la política pública y de la lucha de las mujeres por la ciudadanía, es necesario reconocer que son resultado de un proceso en el que la memoria y la historia se cruzan. Este análisis es importante no solo porque ayuda a entender las formas en que el cuerpo y la sexualidad son construidos histórica y socialmente y mostrar tanto las supervivencias conservadoras como las disputas para resquebrajarlas, sino porque muestra el lugar que cumple la memoria en esta dinámica
