Más allá del autoritarismo: La teoría de los rackets de Max Horkheimer
No full textEl artículo plantea los aspectos fundamentales de la teoría de los rackets de Max Horkheimer. Ésta intentaba analizar los desarrollos sociales que habían llevado al nacionalsocialismo alemán en su forma específica. Al mismo tiempo, se trataba de plantear una comprensión de tendencias socio-históricas globales que no solo operaban en Alemania, sino que afectaban también a otros países. A pesar de que los efectos de esta influencia variaban notablemente en función de las circunstancias particulares de sociedades específicas, a menudo llevaban al establecimiento de regímenes autoritarios. Horkheimer entendía su teoría de los rackets como un “documento real de la teoría independiente de nuestro tiempo”, pero ésta quedó finalmente inacabada. El artículo reconstruye algunos de los aspectos esenciales de la teoría de los rackets, analizando la teoría de clases, la filosofía del derecho y la teoría del Estado. Esto revela que, incluso en los años cuarenta del pasado siglo, el pensamiento de Horkheimer seguía fuertemente orientado hacia la crítica de la economía política. El artículo presta especial atención a la relación entre los rackets y el derecho, así como a la soberanía y al colapso estatal. Por último, se discute la relación entre autoritarismo y neoliberalismo y se pretende mostrar cómo la crítica de los rackets anticipa elementos esenciales de tendencias sociales contemporáneas
Between How the World is and How it Should Be: Aphorism, Paradox, Critique and Praxis in Theodor Adorno’s Minima Moralia
No full textThe reflections of the aphorisms of Minima Moralia may often seem opaque or obscure, appearing to take indirect routes in their investigations. The objective of this article is to outline an interpretation of this way of proceeding by highlighting how such textual elaboration is entangled with particular critical intentions. Crucially, by means of an in-depth analysis of aphorism 110, “Constanze”, it shall seek to indicate how the aphorism is structured in a way so that it can be performed by the reader in a form of experience concretely different from everyday life experience. This should allow one to grasp the latter through the former in a transformative way, constituting a form of critique both practical and theoretical at once.The reflections of the aphorisms of Minima Moralia may often seem opaque or obscure, appearing to take indirect routes in their investigations. The objective of this article is to outline an interpretation of this way of proceeding by high¬lighting how it is entangled with particular critical intentions. By means of an in-depth analysis of aphorism 110, “Constanze”, we shall seek to indicate how it strives to explore particular textual elaborations and effects in order to consti¬tute an immersive reading experience, which not only theoretically grasps, but also practically overcomes the prevailing badness of everyday life, constituting a praxis that the reader can incarnate through the reading itself. Such reading experience, we argue, relies on textual immersive effects to realize the critical potentiality of the paradox as a mediating force between how the world is and how it should be

Auschwitz como punto de desencuentro entre Th. W. Adorno y M. Foucault
No full textIn this article I will try to show the difficulty of accounting about the historical singularity of Auschwitz from Michel Foucault\u27s biopolitical approaches. I will try to demostrate that genealogy gives meaning to something that has no meaning, and that the dialectical-negative treatment of Th. W. Adorno is a much more adequate interpretation, both for Auschwitz and for the present, than the dialectical-negative treatment of Th. W. Adorno. In addition, I will try to show that the warning of the impending catastrophe is only possible from the dialectical-negative approach of Th. W. Adorno\u27s approaches.En este artículo voy a tratar de mostrar cómo no resulta posible dar cuenta de la singularidad histórica de Auschwitz desde los planteamientos biopolíticos de Michel Foucault. Intentaré mostrar que la genealogía dota de sentido a algo que no lo tiene, siendo una interpretación mucho más adecuada, tanto para Auschwitz como para el presente, el tratamiento dialéctico-negativo de Th. W. Adorno. A su vez, intentaré exponer que la alerta frente a la catástrofe inminente sólo es posible desde el enfoque dialéctico-negativo de los planteamientos de Th. W. Adorno
