A Survey of Remote Sensing Image Enhancement using Pixel Level Fusion

    Get PDF
Remote sensing image enhancement and processing is emerging area as it has demanding applications in land cover, land classification, precision agriculture and environmental monitoring fields. It becomes necessity to have high spatial, spectral and temporal resolution for further processing and use. As remotely sensed images may get affected by many physical factors, position of airborne and specifications of the sensors used, it’s difficult to have very high spatial and spectral resolution in same image, it’s always been a tradeoff. The fused image is expected to incorporate the high spatial and spectral resolution components of input images. High spectral resolution is required for accurate description of texture and shapes. In this article author reviews state-of-art pixel level fusion methods for remotely sensed multi-sensor images and parameters used for subjective and objective evaluation. Though ample amount of research has been done and going on in this field, attention needs to be given to the registration process and to preserve the important information from original multi-sensor input images

Finally, simulation results are presented and analysed

Hiding Text in Video by Linked List Method:Dual Steganography

    Get PDF
The recent growth in computational power and technology has propelled the need for highly secured data communication. One of the best techniques for secure communication is Steganography-a covert writing. It is an art of hiding the very existence of communicated message itself. The aim is to design a steganography algorithm which not only hide the message behind the image but also provide more security than others .A new steganography technique for embedding both text or image in cover images by using LSB & Link List method is implemented. This steganography technique is completely a time domain (pixel based) and secret messages are embedded directly into 24- bit color image. Two ways are provided for embedding the secret data inside cover image such as sequential encoding and random encoding for both text & image .For the purpose of security, encryption technique is used with a user defined key. RGB image format is used to improve the quality of the stego image. At last that RGB image will saved as BMP image file so that no lossy compression can occur and the original message do not destroy and can be extract as it is. Aspect ratio for both text and image after hiding in cover image maintains exactly same. Performance of proposed steganography technique is evaluated by calculating values of MSE(Mean square error), PSNR(Peak signal to noise ratio), ET(Elapse time). Dual Steganography is the process of using Steganography combined with Cryptography. Steganography is the process of hiding confidential data's in the media files such as audio, images, videos etc. Cryptography is a branch of mathematics concerned with the study of hiding and revealing information and also for proving authorship of messages. In this paper, Dual Steganography concept has been applied to secure the original videos from unauthorized person. The process has been done by embedding the original video inside another video. Both the videos are converted into frames first. Then the individual frames of original video are sampled with the frames of another video. After completing the sampling process, the output frames are combined to get the encrypted video

High Data Rate Acoustic Massive MIMO for Underwater Communication

    Get PDF
The demand for high definition real time applications for explorations and surveillance of underwater and marine environments is unprecedented, and also in defense applications and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). These applications require high data rate with improved throughput and low error performance in underwater acoustic communications. In this paper, Massive Multi input multi output (MIMO) technique is proposed with Signal-to-leakage plus noise ratio maximization (SLNR-Max) based precoding method to amplify and achieve the desired performance enhancement. Here, it has been established that by increasing the number of transducers/hydrophones at the buoy station (BS), there is significant improvement in error performance and capacity. Proposed method for underwater communication channel can yield greater performance with high spectral efficiency and low error probability

Face Recognition Using Combined DRLBP & SIFT Features Using Arduino Uno 328

    Get PDF
In this paper, face recognition is proposed using combined DRLBP and SIFT features with the help of ARDUINO UNO 328 for high efficient signal transfer system applications. The aim of this research is to develop a nonreal-life application of a security lock system employing a face recognition methodology. DRLBP is chosen for the face recognition algorithmic program.  Arduino microcontroller is employed to represent the response to face identification. USB serial communication is employed to interface between the MATLAB and Arduino UNO Microcontroller.  First, the image of the individual is captured then the captured image is then transferred to the information developed in MATLAB during this stage, the captured image compares to the training image within the database to see the individual standing. If the system acknowledges the individual as an authentication person or un-authentication person, the result is sent to the Arduino UNO microcontroller.   &nbsp

Querying methods of Encrypted Cloud Data

    Get PDF
In the recent times business organizations are opting for cloud based storage for reducing maintenance and storage cost for which data security is a major issue of concern. The Organizations may not completely rely on security provided by cloud service provider. Instead they would prefer for their own security model. Here data may be in relational or Non-relational with its own structures. If the data stored in the cloud is in encrypted format, querying will be difficult because for every retrieval process, the data has to be decrypted. This is again security problem with server. This paper explores about how to process and query the encrypted data stored in cloud. Different methods of querying, ranging from relational to Non-relational data are discussed in this pape

    Get PDF
India is among the country where most of the people depend on agriculture. The identification of pomegranates fruit disease is a challenge that can be made easy by using image processing for detecting diseases of fruit. With this system it is possible to detect type of disease, the affected area and severity of the disease. Now the proposed work is the first step towards the design of such device which helps for interpretation, the algorithm is implemented in MATLAB

A Novel Modified P-Q Theory to Control PV-UPQC under Power Quality Issues in Distribution System

    Get PDF
This paper deals with the design and performance analysis of a three-phase single stage solar photovoltaic integrated unified power quality conditioner (PV-UPQC). The PV-UPQC consists of a shunt and series connected voltage compensators connected back to back with common DC-link. The shunt compensator performs the dual function of extracting power from PV array apart from compensating for load current harmonics. The system incorporates clean energy generation along with power quality improvement thus increasing functionality of the system. The fundamental frequency positive sequence (FFPS) components of voltages at the point of common coupling (PCC) are extracted using generalized cascaded delay signal cancellation (GCDSC) technique which are then used in p-q theory based control to estimate reference signals for the PV-UPQC. The series compensator compensates for the grid side power quality problems such as grid voltage sags/swells. The compensator injects voltage in-phase/out of phase with point of common coupling (PCC) voltage during sag and swell conditions respectively. The proposed system combines both the benefits of clean energy generation along with improving power quality. The steady state and dynamic performance of the system are evaluated by simulating in Matlab/Simulink under various loading conditions like nonlinear load, Induction motor, sudden changes in loads connected and faults
