    The Power Management with Solar PV in Grid-connected and Stand-alone Modes

    As, the use of energy increasing, the power quality requirements are also increasing. Photovoltaic panels are generally used to compensate the energy demand. Due to the characteristics of PV panels and solar irradiation, output power is fluctuated. So that battery storage system is generally used to eliminate power fluctuation problem. The battery bank is communicated with DC bus by a bidirectional DC/DC boost converter. Upper limit and lower limit of the battery storage are considered in power management algorithm to increase the life cycle of battery bank. The paper proposed power management schemes to regulate both AC and DC bus voltages. The proposed power management system is capable to regulate power for grid connected mode and islanded mode. This paper mention power management algorithm and simulation, for both grid connected mode and islanded mode.     The Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) is mainly used for compensation of load in low voltage distribution system. The study proposes a Hybrid DSTATCOM topology that consists of a three-leg VSI with neutral clamped split capacitor to compensate unbalanced and non-linear loads. The scheme is employed with a series capacitor along with the interfacing inductance and a shunt capacitor. This reduces the required DC-link voltage and consequently reduces the voltage stresses on DC-link capacitor, while the shunt capacitor absorbs switching frequency harmonic components on supply side. The reference currents for the proposed hybrid DSTATCOM have been derived by using Synchronous Reference Frame Theory. The performance of proposed topology is verified using MATLAB/ SIMULINK

    This paper presents an automatic farm irrigation system using a wireless sensor network (WSN) and embedded Linux board. The system provides web interface to the user so that the user can control and monitor the system remotely. In this paper, Raspberry Pi is used as embedded Linux board which is designed based on the arm 11 microcontroller architecture. Embedded Linux board makes a communication with all distributed sensor nodes placed in the farm through ZigBee protocol and itself act as coordinated node in the wireless sensor network. The goal of coordinator node is to collect the parameters like soil moisture and soil temperature wireless. Each sensor node consists of soil moisture and soil temperature sensor and ZigBee RF antenna device for communication with a coordinator node. Raspberry Pi stores collected data in a database and analyzes the stored data. The system will work according to the algorithm developed for watering the crop. The board has a Ethernet interface and runs the simple data web server. Hence coordinator collects the data over ZigBee wireless communication protocols and allow user to monitor the data from a web browser. User can make the irrigation system ON or OFF remotely. The system will reduces the water consumptions and giving uniform water to the crop results on increasing yield

Within this report the design of Particle filter algorithm to track the target and show the resulting improvement in tracking. More specifically, this project described the technique of how to track Moving Object. The proposed architecture is suitable for indoors and outdoors scenes with static background and overcomes the problem of stationary targets fading into the background. Optimal estimation problems for nonlinear non-Gaussian state-space models do not typically admit analytic solutions. Since their introduction in 1993, particle filtering methods have become a very popular class of algorithms to solve these estimation problems numerically in an online manner, i.e. recursively as observations become available, and are now routinely used in fields as diverse as computer.
