Fractional Order Modelling for Different Temperature Processes

    No full text
In this paper, a new approach is proposed tomodel the dynamics of temperature profile andtemperature tracking of three different processes byusing fractional calculus. Model analysis is exhibitedby comparing fractional ordered PID controllers whichare also tuned by using fractional calculus, andtraditional integer ordered PID controllers. It is seenthat by using fractional order tuning methods, moreaccurate results are obtained. Main purpose of thisreview paper is to show the benefits of the fractionalcalculus based modelling in system temperatureprofiling toward better results. Comparing the results offractional order PID and traditional PI/PID controllersit is clear that the proposed tuning method is morebeneficial for better temperature profiling

    FarmGuide- One-stop solution to farmers

    Get PDF
Agriculture and the allied sectors largelycontribute to the livelihood of more than 70% rural population inIndia. Indian economy is highly influenced by these sectors whichcontribute to 18% of our country’s GDP. But the farmers, whoare the backbone of this system, suffer severe losses and thesuicide rate keep rising with more than 12,000 suicides per year. The main reasons for this include lack of awareness aboutmarket trends, ideal sowing dates as well as crop diseases thataffect the yield. With the help of Cognitive implications and thepredictive analysis using artificial intelligence, this situation canbe improved. This paper emphasises on creating a one-stopsolution that can provide assistance to the farmers at differentstages; from sowing to selling their product. The paper mainlyfocuses on three modules namely: Sowing dates prediction, CropDisease detection, and Market Intelligence along with Buyingselling Portal. As for the farmers, they do not need any specialtools other than mobile phones with an internet connection to usethese features, thereby making it practical and cost-effective.Availability of such a platform can increase theproductivity in the farms and thereby can be a boon to IndianAgriculture

A Survey on Motion Detection by Image Stitching techniques

    Get PDF
In today’s world, an image stitching/homogenizing is   considered as a dynamic research area in graphics and computer vision. Image homogenizing literature shows that it is a challenging task for panoramic images. Panorama Image stitching is the process of merging two or more images of the same scene into one high resolution seamless image called as panoramic image. Tracking motion and moving object identification is the basic source to extract important information regarding moving objects from anomalous sequences in continuous image based surveillance systems. This paper presents a survey study about the process of panoramic image stitching(PIS) process and the main components of PIS. Further, a framework of a complete panorama image stitching system to detect the moving objects based on these approaches will be introduced

Travel Time Prediction Models for Urban Corridor: A Case Study of Delhi

    Get PDF
This study attempts to make use of traffic behaviour on the aggregate level to estimate congestion on urban arterial and sub-arterial roads of a city exhibiting heterogeneous traffic conditions by breaking the route into independent segments and approximating the origin-destination based traffic flow behaviour of the segments. The expected travel time in making a trip is modelled against sectional traffic characteristics (flow and speed) at origin and destination points of road segments, and roadway and segment traffic characteristics such as diversion routes are also tried in accounting for travel time. Predicted travel time is then used along with free flow time to determine the state of congestion on the segments using a congestion index (CI). Travel time is calculated using regression and ANN techniques and comparison has been made. A development of this kind may help in understanding traffic and congestion behaviour practically using easily accessible inputs, limited only to the nodes, and help in improving road network planning and management

A Novel Web Page Recommender System for Anonymous Users Based on Clustering of Web Pages

    Get PDF
Information overload is major problem oftoday’s internet use. Users frequently get much moreinformation than needed. Web Personalization andrecommender systems are becoming popular now days toovercome this problem. We have proposed a novel web pagerecommender system to improve browsing experience ofanonymous users. We have used web usage mining techniquefor personalizing a web site and recommendation of web pages. This technique uses preprocessing, analysis for finding therelationship among web pages, clustering and classificationphases of data mining. The preprocessing step aims atmaintaining consistency in dataset. We have modelled therelationship among web pages with novel measures of distancematrix, occurrence frequency matrix and relationship matrix.A virtual graph is created corresponding to the relationshipmatrix to show the relationship among web pages. Theproposed method partitions the virtual graph into variousclusters i.e. navigation patterns by proposing an enhanceddepth first search algorithm. It is a graph based partitioningalgorithm. We classify the active user under consideration intoone of the cluster by using LCS algorithm. Finally, we used athreshold value to recommend only optimum number of webpages. Use of novel measures for finding the relationship, use ofthreshold values at the time of formation of clusters as well asat the time of recommendation of web pages gives us betterresults in term of improved visit coherence, accuracy, coverageand F1 measures. We get max. 61% accuracy, 49.2% avg.coverage and 28.87% avg. F1 values in the recommendation ofweb pages. Similarly, we get 57.8% avg. visit coherence in theformation of clusters and a minimum of 15 % outliers

MINING SOCIAL NETWORKS FOR BUSINESS COMPETITION ANALYSIS

    Get PDF
Success in Business is defined by how attractive andappealing a product of certain business appears to a customer thanits competition. How can one a competitor with less businesscompete with any business in a similar market segment? Checkwhere the product your lacks and where the competitor's producthas an upper hand. Though in the competitive world to sustain abusiness a lot of efforts have to been taken but not much ofresearch is undertaken in this field. In this paper, we present howwe can enlist our competitor's strengths to use them in anybusiness in a field and make it better when compared to thatbusiness. We use many online reviews from various websites andonline sources along with abundant sources of information thatcan be found from multiples range of domains. We then analyze thedata and provide quality insights about the data which can be usedin decision making. These insights can be used to analyze howscalable our approach tends to be for various kind of projects alongdifferent domains
