    E-Graphologist for Personality Profile

    Deep learning of a person’s signature can revealhis personality profile like fear, honesty, emotional state, thinkingstyle and much more. Analyzing signature can help in predictingsocial skills, thinking style, work habits, achievements, etc. of thewriter. Type and style of signature can be judged by graphologistbased on curved start, single line, dot on letter, etc. Similarlypattern recognition and image processing are used to analyzesignature and handwriting in our system. Here the signature isconsidered as image and then prediction is performed throughdifferent stages such as gray level conversion, calculatingthreshold value, binary conversion etc. The most preferredtechnique by researchers for personality prediction is 'ArtificialNeural Network'

    Electrical energy generation from renewable energysources are increasing as increase in electricity consumption.Increasing energy cost, transmission loss, risk of radioactiveradiation from nuclear power plant, carbon pollution leads globalenvironmental changes are motivating a the conventional ways ofgenerating electricity to RES. Globally, there is a desire to relymore on renewable energy resources for electricity generation. Theelectricity grid is presently evolving towards an intelligent grid theso-called smart grid. One of the major goals of the future smartgrid is to move towards 100% electricity generation from renewableenergy resources. This paper presents the overview of recent effortsthat aim to integrate renewable energy resources into the smartgrid. Renewable energy based micro hybrid power system consistphotovoltaic and small wind turbine equipped with Cuk-DC-DCconverter, three phase inverter and filter circuit. The impact ofconnecting Renewable energy sources to the Smart Grid withregard to improving Power Quality aspects and impact ofintegrating renewable energy sources on Power Quality indices inthe smart grid was analyzed and the measures for avoiding thenegative impact are included in the paper

    Roof cleaning is the process of removing algae, mold, lichen and moss from roofs.Cleaning of roof becomes very difficult when the height of the roof is very high also the surface of the roof becomes slippery during rainy season.To design and fabricate a semi-automatic roof cleaning machine which is capable of cleaning dirt, grime, algae etc. on roof having reliable slope. Enabling the machine in accessing hard to reach areas on the roof and at higher altitudes. To make the controlling of the machine user friendly such that person with less technical knowledge is able to use it. To make a machine which will take care of safety of persons, save time and also shouldn’t damage roof structure.This method of roof cleaning can be used for cleaning roof of hotels, offices etc. which will give more appealing look. This method is suitable for small, medium as well as for large roof cleaning

    SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF RE-ENTRANT CORNER BUILDING UNDER THE DIFFERENT EARTHQUAKE DIRECTION

    In the modern area, Irregularities in building is common phenomenon. But because of increase in irregularity the structure becomes more vulnerable against the earthquake. In this study a re-entrant corner type of plan irregularity is considered. For the sake of study two G +7 R.C. frame buildings that is one regular and one plan irregular is taken satisfying the criteria given in IS 1893 (2016). Linear dynamic analysis done using Response Spectrum Analysis (RSA) and Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis done using Time history analysis (THA). For Nonlinear dynamic analysis, seven different time histories were considered and is applied in twelve different direction at an interval of 300. Linear dynamic analysis does not shows the much effect of direction of earthquake in terms of relative displacements. But in case of nonlinear dynamic analysis, the incident angle that produces increase up to 50 % in terms on relative displacements. From the analysis result it is concluded that one should go for the nonlinear dynamic analysis for the safer design

    DEVELOPING A MODEL FOR EFFECTIVE CONSTRUCTION SITE LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT

    The construction industry is often slower to adopt new technologies than other industries. Yet the construction industry shall embrace these technologies sufficiently in order to keep up with advances in other trades. One of the most crucial elements in construction management is productivity. And the adopting of new technologies such as mobile-based application can increase construction project productivity in such areas as materials management, tool use time, and labour motivations. During the project we studied and analyzed the data to investigate and improve the logistic situation at a construction sites situated in Pune. During the study we found that there is a lack of general knowledge regarding material and site logistics in construction projects in Pune. As a result, there are many unnecessary movements on site interrupting overall output on site and displacing direct value-added activities. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is by practical observations and site interviews, earlier studies, to investigate the existing logistic approach on the construction site, as well as to provide proper logistic strategy for improving construction process

    COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF COMBUSTION, PERFORMANCE AND EMISSION PARAMETERS OF DIESEL ENGINE USING CASTOR BIODIESEL BLENDS

    The experimental studies for combustion, performance and emission characteristics of the variable compression ratio (VCR) diesel engine of rated power 3.5 kW at rated speed of 1500 rpm at two compression ratios of CR-16:1 and CR-18:1 was done using castor biodiesel-diesel blends (B10, B20 and B30) as a substitute fuel. The results revealed that Start of combustion (SOC) advanced, End of combustion (EOC) delayed, Ignition delay (ID), Maximum Rate of Pressure Rise (MRPR) decreased while Combustion duration (CD), Premix Combustion Phase Duration (PCD) increased with biodiesel blends concentration. Increase in CR resulted in reduction in ID, CD, while MRPR and PCD increased as compared to plain diesel. Brake thermal efficiency (BTE) decreased with increase in blending percentage for both compression ratios (CR’s), while higher CR resulted in increase in BTE. Carbon monoxide (CO) and unburned Hydrocarbon (HC) emissions decreased, while Carbon dioxide (CO2) and Nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions increased with biodiesel contents for both CR’s. Increase in CR resulted in reduction in CO and HC emissions while CO2 and NOX emissions increased. The castor biodiesel may be used as a substitute fuel by blending it partially with plain diesel in diesel engin

A computerized, intelligent system of electronic devices, designed to monitor and control. A growing number of systems have always been a helping hand for handicaps. In this paper, we propose a smart door lock  system for homes. How life can get easier by just a simple click on our smart phone? The key aim of this system is to enhance our life by providing safe and secure system and also gives ability to people with disabilities. Technically, our proposed system is a remote access control doorsystem wherein an image of a person standing at the front door gets captured by a camera installed at the door and this image is sent to a mobile application which is accessed by the user present inside the house. The user receives the image on a mobile application via Bluetooth and thus can lock/unlock the door accordingly. This product supports keyless entry which adds a big measure to security by providing a sense of protection and is moreconvenient

    Iris Recognition Using Wavelet Transform and SVM BasedApproach

    Inthis paper we proposed an improved novel approachto identify the person using iris recognition technique. Thisapproach is based on fuzzy and support vector machine (SVM) asan iris pattern classifier. Prior to classifier, region of interest i.e.iris region is segmented using Canny edge detector and Houghtransform. Provided that the effect of eyelid and eyelashes getreduced. Daugman’s rubber sheet model used to get normalized iristo improve computational efficiency and proper dimensionality.Further, discriminating feature sequence is obtained by featureextraction from segmented iris image using 1D Log Gaborwavelet.Encoding is done using phase quantization to get featurevectors. These binary sequence feature vectors are used to trainSVM and fuzzy system as iris pattern classifier. The experimentaltests are performed over standard CASIAIrisV4 database

    Benchmarking and Comparing Popular Visual SLAM Algorithms

    This paper contains the performance analysis andbenchmarking of two popular visual SLAM Algorithms: RGBDSLAMand RTABMap. The dataset used for the analysis is theTUM RGBD Dataset from the Computer Vision Group at TUM.The dataset selected has a large set of image sequences from aMicrosoft Kinect RGB-D sensor with highly accurate and timesynchronized ground truth poses from a motion capture system.The test sequences selected depict a variety of problems andcamera motions faced by SLAM algorithms for the purpose oftesting the robustness of SLAM algorithms in different situations.The evaluation metrics used for the comparison are AbsoluteTrajectory Error (ATE) and Relative Pose Error (RPE). Theanalysis involves comparing the Root Mean Square Error(RMSE) of the two metrics and the processing time for eachalgorithm. This paper serves as an important aid in the selectionof SLAM algorithm for different scenes and camera motions. Theanalysis helps to realize the limitations of both SLAM methods.This paper also points out some underlying flaws in the usedevaluation metric
