The  purpose  of  this  study  was  to find  out  the  effect  of  reaction  light  trainingand  shuttle  run  on  footwork  agility  in  PB  badminton  participants Pelangi Pontianak City. Materials and methods. This  study  uses  this  type  of  experimental  research.  Inthis study there were two groups of experiments that were deliberately given treatment. Results. The analysis\u27s findings for the first test\u27s Lscore test count and the test\u27s final result were Lcalculated, yielding 0.1866<Ltable 0.2287 and 0.1356<Ltable 0.2287. Thus, based on the analysis of this data, preliminary test results and final tests of the normal distribution can be drawn. The sample size of 15, mean 2.75, standard deviation 1.02, and thitung 10.43 are used to determine whether the H0 or Ha hypothesis is accepted in line with the previously given explanation, after which the price calculated and the price of table t are compared. Price comparison between tcalculates to a genuine degree α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom (dk) = (n–1) = 14 and presentil values on the distribution table-t; the result was tcount (10.43)>ttable (1.7613). Conclusions. There is an effect of training using reaction light tools and shuttle  run   exercises   in   improving   the   agility   of   footwork (footwork)   of   PB Pelangi Pontiank City Achievement  with  tCalculate>tTable Can  be  taken  the decision  that  there  is  an  effect  of  training  using  reactionlights  and  shuttle  run exercises in improving

    Get PDF
The purpose of the study. Running speed represents a global marker of individual performance and provides a simple method of objective measurement of motor performance for use in clinical and research environments. Speed is most often at relatively short distances at normal or fast pace, using methods of obtaining manual time (e.g., stopwatch) or automated (e.g., photocells). Materials and methods. The sample consisted of 25 students, 12 males and 13 females, all 13 years old and walked a course 20 meters away, we used to obtain the time elapsed the time, and the method by photocells. The agreement was examined using Bland and Altman graphs and linear regression. Results. There are significant and strong differences between the evaluation methods (T =14,205; p<0,001) and there is a significant and strong correlation between the variables (r = 0.902; p<0.001). Conclusions. This study suggests that for measurement in research context or in sports aimed at high yield it is advisable to use photocell, and the use of the timing method for recreational use

The purpose of the study. The purpose of this research is to create a model of the Sports Massage program by application, specifically for sufferers of Lower Back Pain. the novelty of this product is: the sports massage program model is usually only given to athletes for recovery, but this time the sports massage is made specifically for the treatment of lower back pain sufferers. Materials and methods. This research method uses the Research and Development method. with a Flow Chart consisting of 7 stages, to produce a product that has been tested and is suitable for use, starting from: (1) Finding ideas (2) Making planning manuscript designs (3) Making initial product models (3) Revision of product I (4) Prototype production (5) Small group trials (6) Revision II (7) Large group trials (8) Revision III (9) Product refinement and producing final products. Results. The results showed that there was effectiveness in using the digital sports message model as evidenced by the data showing that there were 9 samples in the good category and 1 sample in the very good category. While in the treatment of massage not based on the application, there were 3 samples with the sufficient category. And the development of this digital sports massage model has the advantage of video content and books can also be downloaded so that people with lower back pain can do it for free in various places even at home. Conclusions. From the research that has been done, it can be seen that sufferers of lower back pain need a solution for handling massage that makes it easier for sufferers to do so, so the development of this digital sports massage model has good effectiveness in use

This research was motivated by the results of the free throw performed by the women\u27s basketball extracurricular which was not optimal and not appropriate in its implementation. free throw is the accuracy of the direction of the ball shot towards the ring, where this shot is taken from behind the free throw line in a basketball game. Materials and methods. Methods This research uses an experimental method with One Group, namely Pre-test and Post-test Design. The data collection technique was saturated sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon test, Paired Sample T-test. Results. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon test, Paired Sample T-test. Research results based on the statistical output "Test Statistics", it is known that Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) is worth 0.001. Because the value of 0.001 is smaller than <0.05. Conclusions. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant effect between the beef concept wall shooting exercise method on the extracurricular free throw ability of SMAN 1 bangkinang city

Effect of Compression Garments in the Speed Performance among Track and Field and Swimming student-athletes in a Catholic University of the Philippines

    Get PDF
Background and Purpose: Speed is critical for sports such as swimming and track and field. One of the sports industry\u27s solutions is compression garments to enhance athletic performance. This study aims to determine the effect of short and long compression garments on the speed performance of track and field and swimming athletes of the University of Santo Tomas. Methodology: The researchers used quantitative and experimental methods. This study focused on the athletes of the track and field and swimming teams of the University of Santo Tomas. The researchers conducted the study at the open field and swimming pool within the vicinity of the University; 14 athletes from track and field and 16 from the swimming team were invited to participate in the 60M Sprint Test and Critical Swim Speed Test. Results: The study shows a slight difference in the speed performance of track and field athletes when using short compression garments (7.54m/s) and long compression garments (7.44m/s). While swimming, the speed performance when using a long compression garment (1.450m/s) is higher than the short compression garment (1.512m/s). Both swimming (0.887) and track and field (0.559) show no significant difference in using the compression garment. Conclusion and Recommendations: Based on the study, there is a minimal difference in using long compression garments against short compression garments. Therefore, the researchers recommend using long compression garments since this garment slightly increases participants\u27 speed which is vital in any sport measuring speed to win a race. The researchers recommend further study by increasing the number of participants, only endurance athletes participants, and including the materials used in making the garments. This further helps the claim that long and short compression garments affect speed performance regardless of sports or events

The results showed: (1) There was a significant effect of paired bottom passing training on the level of lower passing ability of MTSs YPPU Karimunting men\u27s volleyball extracurricular participants, it can be seen that t count is 2.131 > t table (1.746), while p value (0.000) < 0.05. (2) There is a significant effect of lower passing training reflected against the wall on the level of lower passing ability of MTSs YPPU Karimunting men\u27s volleyball extracurricular participants, it can be seen that the results of the t test obtained t count of 2.160 > t table (1.771), while the p value (0.000) < 0.05. Conclusions. These results mean that there is a significant effect of pair-bottom passing training on the level of lower passing ability of men\u27s volleyball extracurricular participants at MTSs YPPU Karimunting, Sungai Raya Kepulauan sub-district, Bengkayang district
