Get PDFThis study investigates the evolution and current status of information moral education in primary and secondary education in Japan, with a particular emphasis on the handling of social networking services (SNS). Information moral education is required to constantly review and update its content and methods in order to cope with the rapid changes in the information society. In particular, the use of SNS is rapidly spreading among children, and the range of its influence is also expanding significantly. Furthermore, it is believed that there are many points in digital citizenship education overseas that should be referenced in the educational field in Japan. On the other hand, problems associated with the use of SNS are also increasing, and in order to solve these problems, it is necessary for children themselves to understand information morals and take appropriate actions. This understanding and action can be said to be the central goal of information moral education.textapplication/pd
