    Exploring the Challenges in Provision of Quality Education: A Case of Public Schools in Sui, Baluchistan

    This research study aimed to understand the challenges of providing quality education in Balochistan by selecting eight schools from Sui. A qualitative research methodology was adopted to understand the challenges in detail by conducting interviews based on purposive sampling from 15 stakeholders. These included headmasters, teachers, students, and parents. To enrich the research data, focused group discussions were also conducted with six stakeholders including teachers, students and parents.  The qualitative raw data were transcribed and categorized to generate key themes to understand the problems.  The findings of the research reveal that there are serious challenges in providing quality education in all secondary schools located in Sui. These challenges include socio-economic problems of the masses, poor infrastructure, weak accountability, and ghost teachers. The study recommends that all ruling elites and stakeholders should coordinate and evolve joint mechanisms to address the challenges hindering the quality of education in Sui. Furthermore, it is also recommended that research should be conducted at the primary and secondary education levels in remote areas across the province of Balochistan to understand the challenges affecting the quality and literacy rate in the province.  This will be an eye-opener for the policymakers to develop a concrete and comprehensive plan to address these issues and challenges effectively

    Employee Performance and Work-Family Conflict: A Study of the Education Sector in Pakistan

    This paper examined the causes and effects of work-family conflict among female employees in the education sector in Pakistan, a society where traditional norms make it harder for women to balance their work and family roles. The paper collected primary data from female employees serving in the education sector of Pakistan. The paper found the extended working hours, job rigidity, work overload, child care duty, children’s age, dependent care duty, workplace discrimination, insufficient supervisory support, authoritarian management style, lack of family support, and husband’s absence as the main factors causing the work-family conflict. The study suggested the need for organizational policies and practices that can help reduce work-family conflict and improve the job satisfaction and performance of female employees

    Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: A Mediating Role of Coping Skills among Employees of Paramedical Sector

    This study aimed to investigate the impact of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in the presence of the mediating role of Coping Skills among employees in the paramedical sector. Paramedical staff members were conveniently sampled from Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This study uses a cross-sectional research design. Results show that emotional intelligence was positively & significantly associated with employees’ organizational citizenship behaviour and employees’ coping skills, also confirmed that employees’ coping skills were positively & significantly associated with employees’ organizational citizenship behaviour and the mediation mechanism of employees’ coping skills was also statistically supported. This study advances knowledge of the function of organizational civic behaviour in workers\u27 emotional intelligence as a motivating factor. It is suggested that organizations focus on the advancement of the capacity to see the value in people on a more profound level and adapting abilities among their representatives through training programs, workshops, and different intercessions

    Electrochemical Study of the Stevia as an Alternative to the Sugar in Blood Medium Using Nano-Sensor by Cyclic Voltammetry

    Stevia contains natural compounds that are plant herbs that estimated to be 150–400 times sweeter than saccharide. The study included the effect of different concentrations, different pH in present, and without a present ascorbic acid solution. A potentiostat was used as a cyclic voltammetric technique by a modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as a nanosensor (MWCNT/GCE) to enhance the oxidation-reduction current peaks of stevia compound in blood medium. The oxidation current peak of stevia appeared at 0.028 gm/ml. The study has been found the safety dose used before oxidation of the blood components from the appearing of oxidation current peak of stevia which characterized at -600 mV. Alkaline blood medium in the presence of ascorbic acid acted as an anti-oxidative reagent with present ascorbic acid by enhanced the reduction current peak at -500 mV, so, stevia compound can be used as a safe sweetener alternative of saccharide

    Synthesis Nanoparticles of Copper and Dicopper Oxide via Change Atmosphere of Copper Ablation

    The fabrication technique to synthesis dicopper oxide nanoparticles (Cu2ONPs) and copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) is laser ablation by a pure copper rod. To save the environmental system, we converted setup of device to develop the clean technology. In addition, the solvent using in both systems is water (green chemistry) without agent or surfactant. The average size of Cu2ONPs is 20 nm via enclosed platform of air under 600 mJ of laser power for 1h. However, the average size is 12 nm to generate CuNPs under N2 gas and 600 mJ of laser power for 1h. The morphology and the shape of the particles explain by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) images and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) images. Also, the average size of the nanoparticles proved by measuring of 100 particles by using TEM image. In addition, The High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) image explains the distance between the layers in CuNPs which is 0.21 nm. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Attenuated Total Reflection-Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) of the product show the type of nanoparticles’ structure

    Malathion-induced Biochemical and Molecular Changes in the Brain of Danio rerio as Biomarkers of Oxidative Stress Damage

    Malathion is the most widely used organophosphorus pesticide in freshwater ecosystems around the world. In Danio rerio brain specimens, the effects of MAL exposure on oxidative stress stimulation and acetylcholinsterase, as well as gene expression and histology, were investigated. Antioxidant enzyme activities (superoxides dismutase and catalase) and AChE levels changed widely in brain. The mRNA levels of genes encoding antioxidant enzymes such as Cu/Zn–SOD, Mn–SOD, and COX-17 did not increase when zebrafish were exposed to varied levels of MAL for 5 and 25 days. CAT, GPx, CYP1A, and AChE transcription were all enhanced significantly following exposure to MAL levels (P<0.05). Variations in the brain\u27s antioxidant enzyme did not match mRNA induction patterns. Furthermore, with higher exposure time and dose, pathological changes included more severe tissue harm. These alterations are common cellular responses for pesticides and are expected to be an important signal in ecotoxicology studies. Given our findings, the Danio rerio can be used as a model organism for the further research of pesticide effects on the CNS and the various mechanisms involved

    Pakistan’s linguistic diversity and communication challenges are documented evidence of the country’s policy makers and practitioners for a decade’s plan of cultural harmony, regional stability, and linguistic autonomy. Besides, regional language users, national identity persuaders, and national integration into the global objectives of access to information for growth and good is made possible through the medium of communication. Its practice was seen in educational decisions in the past and its struggle for a nationwide networking is being witnessed in the period of COVID-19. The study is the result of almost 15 years old motivation to highlight the issues relevant for a phonological description of Goan Karachiites (GKs) speech of English. However, the framework is updated to absorb recent trends of global integration and communication challenges for a result-oriented academic deliberation. Its QUAL QUAN methods application is derived from phonological underpinnings to witness the divergence of English pronunciation of the GKs from Received Pronunciation (RP).  The GKs English was reportedly non-RP, but intelligible on systemic phonological grounds

    Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Secondary School Teachers: A Case of District Quetta, Balochistan

    This study aimed to evaluate the Organizational Citizenship Behaviors (OCB) of secondary school teachers currently serving in the district of Quetta. Using a quantitative research method, the data was gathered from the randomly selected 250 teachers via an adopted questionnaire having 5-points Likert scale. The gathered data (based on the various dimensions of OCB including conscientiousness, sportsmanship, civic virtue, courtesy, and altruism) were analyzed using descriptive techniques and inferential statistical techniques. The findings of the study reveal that teachers currently serving in the secondary schools in the district of Quetta display no significant difference in OCB based on their genders and the sector of their serving schools, that is, private and public. However, there was a significant difference in OCB based on their age and years of experience. The findings of the study recommend the policymakers and school administrations to engage the teachers in the socially betterment of teachers without considering their different characteristics

    Investigating the Status of Sign Language and its Interpretation in Communication Process: A Case of School-Going Deaf Children in Pakistan

    This study was conducted from January to July 2022 in fifteen special education schools for children with hearing impairment located in the city of Karachi. The study focused on challenges faced by Sign Language Interpreters within the school environment. Strategies to counter challenges were identified. Through interviews, observation, and communication analysis, interpreting strategies and motivation were discussed. Additional information was gathered from teachers, Deaf and hearing children on attitudes, relationships, and interpreter competence. Detailed interviews with participants about their cultural values provided a clearer understanding of the topic. Communication strategies, both verbal and non-verbal, were significant in interpreting information and occasionally led to misunderstandings among interpreters in their professional and social life at school. Interpreters shared their experiences and challenges working in a diverse environment with clients of varying backgrounds. Attitudes, strategies, backgrounds, and communication were key aspects identified. Needs of developing a good working environment, interpreter development, teacher training in Special Needs Education, School adaptation for Sign Language Interpreters, and future research to achieve inclusive education were identified
