    Get PDF
This systematic literature review establishes teachers\u27 interactions in developing character among students in learning institutions. Through a comprehensive analysis of 30 studies published between 2014 and 2024, the review identifies four primary clusters of teacher influence: cultural and religious, discipline, leadership, moral development, and social development. The results indicate that teachers are the primary shapers of character and more than educators: They are the enablers, the navigators, and the helpers of character. The review also shows the general difficulty in character education and how the study highlights the need to focus on culture, use appropriate punishment/ reward interventions, innovative leadership, and equilibrium in moral development. However, the effectiveness of the instructional efforts in essentialist character education has been evidenced by challenges like teachers’ preparation and cultural diversity. Lastly, this review discusses the consequences of social integration, future research, and practical work in education. It emphasises the importance of subsequent research and policy initiatives focused on teacher preparation for character education in the context of increasing challenges and diversification in contemporary schools

    Get PDF
This systematic literature review explores the current state, advantages, disadvantages, and potential future of using artificial intelligence in talent management. A total of 29 articles published in 2015- 2024 suggest that 33% of the organizations have implemented AI/ML tools, and only 16% are optimally using HR technologies for organizational results. The review identifies four key domains of AI implementation: recruitment and selection, performance analysis, development and training of employees, and strategic implementation. Benefits include increased operational effectiveness, improved decision-making, organizational talent management, and workforce planning processes. That said, technical difficulties, ethical issues on the use of artificial intelligence, privacy, and some organizational individuals\u27 reluctance towards using artificial intelligence remain major hurdles. The results show an increase in the number of publications in recent years, focusing on 2023 and occupying the majority share of journals (83%). More future directions focus on developing a strong theoretical foundation, implementation proposals, and improved ethical standards. These observations indicate that AI holds the potential to revolutionize TM practices but also that organizations need to be cautious of the challenges pertaining to technology integration keeping in view the ethical and human aspects of organizational functioning to effectuate successful implementation

    Get PDF
This paper discusses experiential learning’s effects on creativity. The extant research accepts that learning is occurring but needs to address the significance of learning in order to progress rightly. Learning is a reasonably long-lasting change in behaviour or knowledge owing to experience. Changes in behaviour, as a result of momentary functional deviations, are not learning. As the study\u27s objective is to understand the varying phenomena of creativity among students, after going through the experiential learning, quantitative research was employed with a sample size of 150 students belonging to the Government and Private sectors, following Matric and Cambridge systems, girls and boys. This study provides empirical evidence that experiential learning positively and significantly impacts creativity (t=18.389), which is greater than the benchmark (t>2), followed by (sig-value=0.000), which is lesser than the benchmark of (sig<0.01). Despite many challenges, there was evidence to support the phenomenon that experiential learning is a reasoning and strategy in which teachers intentionally draw in students to expand information, creative abilities, and illuminate qualities. It also helps students develop intrapersonal skills while engaging in activities with diverse participants

    Get PDF
This study investigates the mediating role of information search within the relationships of hedonic values, utilitarian values, and purchase intention in Pakistan\u27s online food industry with a focal sample of Food Panda customers. The questionnaire was distributed among 400 Food Panda users; 280 questionnaires were received. Smart PLS was used to conduct SEM to analyse the data. The results indicate that hedonic and utilitarian values have positive influences on purchase intention, which reflects that the higher the hedonic and utilitarian values are, the greater the intentions to purchase become, and vice versa. This study also supports information search as a partial mediator in the relationship between hedonic/utilitarian values and purchase intention. The findings reveal that customers who successfully go through information searching are likely to register higher hedonic and utilitarian motivations, which then dramatically increases their purchase intentions. The study contributes not only to the literature on hedonic and utilitarian values but also to the context of the Pakistani online food sector. It also enriches the discussion of information search as one of the pivotal factors affecting purchase intention within this industry

    Get PDF
Perinatal mortality is defined as both stillbirth and early neonatal deaths which occurs from 28 gestational age of pregnancy for seven completed days after birth or at least one kilogram. Perinatal mortality is a health indicator for prenatal, intra partum and newborn care. It is one of the major challenges for under-five mortality. Up to the knowledge of principal investigator while searching different literatures, there is a limited number of studies have related to perinatal deaths in our country. Most of the researchers have used secondary data. Therefore; this study may fill this gap by assessing the magnitude of perinatal mortality and associated factors among babies born based on the primary data. Institutional based cross sectional study design was conducted among 631study participants. Epi-data 4.2 and SPSS Version 21 was used for data entry and analysis respectively. The variable associated with the outcome variable in Bivariate p value <0.25 was considered for further multivariable analysis to control for potential confounding. Crude and Adjusted Odd Ratios was calculated to assess the association between dependent and independent variable with 95% CI. The variable which shows p ≤0.05 was considered as statistically significance. The magnitude of perinatal, mortality was found to be 9.0% (95%, CI: 7%-11%). Maternal age less than 18 years (AOR, 4.80CI; 1.33-17.33), history of perinatal loss (AOR 9.47, CI:3.32-26.98), gestational age less than 37weeks (AOR,4.01 CI:1.56-10.28), Apgar score (4-6) (AOR,5.24, CI:1.93-13.30) and low birth weight (AOR, 4.64CI:1.85-11.60) was significantly associated with perinatal mortality. Generally, this study has high perinatal death, which needs more attention. Maternal age less than 18 years, gestational age less than 37 wks, low birth weight, history of perinatal loss and (4-6) Apgar score at 5 minutes were significant predictors of perinatal death

    Get PDF
Candida is a genus of yeasts and is the most common cause of fungal infections worldwide. Candida spp., are eukaryotic representatives of the fungi kingdom. The genus Candida includes about 150 species, but many species are endosymbiosis of humans, causing infections mainly in immunosuppressed hosts. The frequency of Candida isolates as a cause of hospital infections has risen in recent years, leading to high rates of morbidity and mortality. The knowledge of the epidemiology of those hospital acquired fungal infections is essential to implement an adequate antifungal therapy. Fungal survey of different clinical samples collected from patients, to determine the effect of antifungal on C. albicans isolates from different body sites and lesions (blood, wounds swabs, ear swabs, bronchoalveolar lavage, high vaginal swabs, sputum, throat swabs, and urine).  Swab sticks were collected from different sites of patients’ bodies (blood, wounds swabs, ear swabs, bronchoalveolar lavage, high vaginal swabs, sputum, throat swabs, and urine) then streaked directly on labelled Sabouraud\u27s dextrose agar (SDA) plates and incubated at 25°C for (2-7) days. The growing colonies of Candida spp. isolates were initially diagnosed on (SDA) agar then confirmed by Chrome Candida Agar, the plates were incubated bunder aerobic conditions for 24 hr. at 37°C. Thereafter, antifungal sensitivity test was done.  Only 209 of 1596 samples were taken from the patients and cultured on Sabouraud\u27s dextrose agar were found to be positive. From 1596 just 59 isolate was Candida albicans after subculture on CROM Candida Agar, API candida and germ tube formation. Antifungal susceptibility tests were performed on 59 C. albicans isolates. Regarding antifungal resistance by C.albicans it was found 8 (14%) of isolates were resistant isolates resistant to fluconazole, 11 (19%) were resistant to miconazole as well as 11 (19%) were resistant to econazole, while 50 (85%) of isolates were sensitive to Nystatin, Clotrimazole (56, 95%), and to Ketoconazole (54, 92%). The study shows a higher antifungal resistance in the clinical samples which proves the risk in C. albicans management program
