    Get PDF
Products offered through Islamic channels are becoming more and more popular, however research into the specific factors influencing customers\u27 intentions while buying life insurance in an Islamic setting is lacking. By providing perspectives on the dynamics of consumer intention in the market for products given to Muslim customers, this research seeks to fill the existing gap in the literature. The data, which came from 300 respondents, were examined using partial least squares structural equation modeling to ascertain how the variables related to one another. This study provides insightful information about the factors influencing Islamic marketing and customers\u27 decisions to buy life insurance. With regard to Pakistan, this paper adds nothing less than novelty to the body of literature by delving into the factors that influence Islamic marketing leads to customer intention and utilizing more sophisticated statistical methods such as partial least square structural equation modeling and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA)

Empirical Evidence on Corporate Social Responsibility: A Case Study of Chinese Companies in Pakistan

    Get PDF
This paper investigated the state of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices among Chinese companies operating in Pakistan. Findings reveal that while most Chinese firms have dedicated CSR programs, the strategic focus and long-term developmental impacts vary; enhancing corporate reputation rather than creating ethical value or empowering local communities was the dominant motivation. Key CSR activity areas include education, healthcare, and environmental initiatives, aligned with local socioeconomic needs. Although positive impacts are acknowledged, local stakeholders perceive CSR effects to be limited lacking strategic direction; challenges around political sensitivities, security risks, and coordination issues were highlighted. The paper advocates for a more strategic, participatory and sustainable CSR approach focused on long-term capacity building. Guidance frameworks attuned to local contexts can enable companies to balance business goals with lasting social value

    Get PDF
The study aimed to investigate the effects of blended music on social behaviours of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The study was quantitative with a single group pretest- posttest research design. Children with ASD studying in special education institutes of Rawalpindi and Islamabad were the population of the study. After screening children for High Functioning Autism through the Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ), twelve children were selected conveniently for the intervention. The Urdu version of the Social Responsiveness Scale (USRS-2) was used to measure the social behaviours of children with ASD. Blended music based on Raga Bilawal and Taal Keharwa was validated by the music experts for use during eight weeks of intervention. The data was collected before and after exposure to blended music. Mean scores for each positive and problematic social behaviour were calculated to decide upon the improvement in behaviour. The number of items showing improvement was calculated to decide upon the effect of blended music. 26% of positive behaviours were improved and 74% of problematic social behaviours were reduced. It was concluded that blended music was found effective in developing positive social behaviours and reducing the problematic social behaviours of children with ASD

    Get PDF
This paper assesses the enforcement of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies in Pakistan, specifically in financial/bank reporting, risk, and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) policies for 2020-2024. Therefore, this paper proposes a narrative literature review for methodological advancements. This narrative literature review employed a comprehensive analysis of existing research on global money laundering trends, focusing on developed and developing countries. One hundered and fifty soil samples were collected from different city of Babylon, Iraq. Thirty-three Actinomycetes isolates were obtained, purified and identified according to morphological properties and biochemical tests. All isolates were tested for their antimicrobial activities and screened for production of some important enzymes such as amylase, catalase, protease, cellulase and lipase. The results obtained that 13 isolated have such potential and all 13 isolates have amylase activity. The most active isolates in production of study enzymes were KO-AG18, HI-SA24 and KO-RS27. Most 13 Actinomycetes isolates were showed antimicrobial against some Gram -positive bacteria (Staphylococcus albus, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes) and Gram- negative (Klebsella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Serratia marcescens, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Aeromonas hydrophila due to inhibition zone diameter (mm) ranged from 4-37 against gram negative and from 6- 37 against gram positive bacteria

Application of Cloud Point in Spectrophotometric Determination of Drugs: Overview

    Get PDF
Cloud Point Extraction (CPE) technique depends on the preconcentration of material in aqueous medium, and it is known that the surfactants in the mentioned technique could concentrate these materials. The CPE technique receives great attention because of the simplicity and speed of the method, and the extraction process is beneficial by improving the experimental conditions by adjusting the acidity function, temperature, type of electrolyte, extraction time and surfactant concentration. The surfactant leads to the phase separation of the so-called surfactant-rich phase and the surfactant aqueous phase. The comparison of the maximum temperature with the critical temperature is called the cloud point temperature which will be Then the substance to be analyzed is concentrated and the preconcentration factor is high. This article describe the applications of CPE method in the determination of different drugs using deferent reactions and various reagents
