Analysis and Detection of Antigen – Antibody Interactions using CMOS Image Sensor
Get PDFDifferent types of immunoassay methods commonly used for antigen-antibody reactions. The Presented work focused on in-vitro diagnostic methods based on the biological sensor. The competence of a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) using an indium nanoparticle (InP) substrate for the high sensitivity diagnosis of antigen/antibody interactions at low concentrations under normal light. This study supported with the help of metal surface, normally metal surface affinity to the biological molecules. The research report says metals like Ta, Ni Au, In Si monolayer surfaces increase protein adsorption on their surface also they can bind with their specific antibody The experimental results show the valuable impact of the CMOS image sensor and InN P substrates for the detection of antigen/antibody interactions. The occasional shaking method also gives sensitive results

Get PDFThe study was carried out in Doyogena district, Kembata Tembaro Zone of southern Ethiopia to assess the awareness of farmers on saving and credit cooperatives, and examine the effect of SACCO‟s on household income generation. Multistage sampling procedure was used to select sample households. Structured interview questionnaires were prepared to collect brief information from the sample households by preparing interview schedule, focused group discussion and personal observation. For data analysis descriptive statistics like mean, frequency, percentages are used for quantitative data. In the study area, about 57.35% of respondents are member of saving and credit service in the study area. The age, sex and educational status of household determine the cooperative member of saving and credit services. About 97.43% households are a member of cooperative saving and credit services in the age group of 30-65 years, whereas for age of households between 18-29 years were 2.57 % in study area. About 97.43% of male household are a members saving and credit services.About 56.42% of sampled households are those who able to read and write were a member of saving and credits organization. The access to awareness (63.23%), income generation are >500ETB per months 41.23% respondents those are a member of SACCOs and 24.13% for non-members, un satisfy on adequacy and timeline less of loan and recovery rate(54.54%),weak governance and weak financial management system arethe effects saving and credit service of cooperative organization in study area. Most the users of agricultural input 12(51.61%) are the members of SACCOs. This might be due to use credit from SACCOs. But non-members of cooperative are not using agricultural inputs as members SACCO due to lack credit. Therefore, creation of awareness for members and non-members, and cooperative leaders important for saving and credit services in the study area

Get PDFRural Saving and Credit Cooperatives (RuSACCOs) are the main financial solution of the people who have low income level.Rural saving and credit cooperatives are considered to have immense potential in financing short term loans for agricultural production technologies and undertake off-farm income generating activities in rural areas where both the state and the private sector have failed. Cooperatives and socio-economic development in Ethiopia has its own Economic significance, Employment creation, income generation and poverty reduction, Social protection, Cooperative representation. Cooperatives have a long history in Ethiopia. Traditional forms of collective action such as iqub found that a traditional form of rotating savings and credit association; work groups such as jige, wonfel, and debo, which help in mobilizing labor resource (Labour sharing); and idir, a traditional association which provides insurance for members during death and other accidents. . Rural saving and credit cooperatives have their own challenges that retard their financial solution to their members and the economical contribution to a country. In Ethiopia, the development of SACCOs is low due to the existence of different challenges. Some of the most important challenges include lack of capacity for providing competent managerial services, limited participation of members in decision making and controlling activities (because of limited capacity and skill), and lack of finance, basic infrastructure, and market information against the need for a better linkage of cooperative members. And recommending Government cooperative agency offices, Unions, and NGOs should provide sustainable technical training for cooperatives technical staffs on financial planning, financial management, and inventory handling issues are the possible recommendations. Saving and credit cooperatives play a crucial role in economic and social development for rural farmers in Ethiopia

Effects Of Dried Centella Asiatica Leaf Meal as An Herbal Feed Additive On The Growth Performance, Haematology And Serum Biochemistry Of Broiler Chicken
No full textThis experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of supplementing different levels of Spondiasmombin leaf meal on the performance and blood profile of broiler chickens. Experimental parameters covered growth performance and some heamatological and blood serum analysis. One hundred and sixty, day old Arbo acre broiler chicks were randomly divided into four treatments groups with four (4) replicates, each of ten birds in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Group 1 was fed basal diet without Spondiasmombin leaf meal (SSM), Group 2, 3 and 4 were fed basal diets supplemented with SSM at levels of 1.0%, 2.0% and 3.0% respectively. The basal diet was formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of broilers according to NRC (1994), the experiment lasted for 49 days and the results obtained showed that there were significant ( P<0.05) differences among all treatments in the values of final live weight and feed conversion ratio. No significant difference (P>0.05) was observed for the daily feed intake of the birds. Results for heamatology showed that white blood cell counts, RBC, Hb and PCV were significantly (P<0.05) affected with the inclusion of Spondiasmombin leaf meal, SGPT, SGOT and other serum parameterswere not significantly different (P>0.05) during the experiment. No mortality was recorded throughout the experimental period. Results obtained from this study showed that Spondiasmombin leaf meal is a good source of plant vitamins and minerals and its inclusion at 3.0% level does not have any deleterious effect on the general performance and health status of broiler chicken

Resident’s Awareness Towards Sustainable Tourism for Ecotourism Destination in Sundarban Forest, Bangladesh

UNESCO has declared 28% of the world‟s largest contiguous mangrove forest, the Sundarban, as a world heritage site in 1987. Sundarban is the largest mangrove forest in the world, which is facing various kinds of threats. More than millions of people depends on cutting the tree, hunting animal other sources that are related with Sundarban. Negative natural and anthropogenic impacts and over-exploitation of natural resources have caused severe harm to the ecosystem. A growing human population with few different support opportunities poses a significant threat to the mangrove forest. There is an illegal increase in the reduction of trees and woods in the Sundarban. Deforestation is taking an increase in most of the areas of Sundarban which will ultimately lead to the loss of diversity. The problem of overfishing has placed the surroundings below great pressure. The stock of the fish is decreasing due to the combination of overexploitation and environmental condition changes. The density of the fish in shallow waters reduced enormously. Because of the excessive demand for the prawn product, the native people dropped the normal fishing practices and adopted the prawn seed culture. Earlier traditional agricultural strategies were practiced. But today, people are adopting the techniques of using pesticides and chemicals that are affecting the flora and fauna of the region. The dumping of various industrial and domestic wastes into the river systems also possesses a threat to the environment. This forest ecosystem conjointly has become at risk of pollution, which can have modified the ecosystem. This paper suggests that nature-oriented tourism destination Sundarban can achieve sustainability through public awareness. Well-planned sustainable tourism and residence awareness could provide economic and long-term incentives for conservation and could bring additional benefits to local communities and regional economies.
