Qualitative Evaluation of Geophysical Aeromagnetic Data For River Anticline Around The River Niger Area In Koton-Karfi, Southern Bida Basin, Nigeria
In this paper a qualitative evaluation of aeromagnetic data maps has been used to preliminarily support the formation of river anticlines beneath major rivers due to isostatic rebound as a result of deep river incision of surface and sub-surface overlying rocks. The regional gradients of digital high resolution aeromagnetic data were removed by polynomial fitting. This involved fitting a plane surface to the reduction to pole map of the aeromagnetic data by using multi-regression least square analysis of the Oasis Montaj 6.4 program. The regional field values from the plane surface are subtracted from the observed data to obtain the residual anomaly values. Power spectrum plots of aeromagnetic data of the study area produced a basement depth contour map. The basement depths of the south-western part of the study area revealed basement uplift with a depth range of 1.8 to 2.5km which lies beneath the Niger River area, SW of the study area, and depicts a river anticline
Comprehensive Spatial planning of Sonamarg resort in Kashmir Valley, India for sustainable tourism
The tourism Industry is directly linked with the environment, as tourists mainly travel to natural and green environment destinations. This study has made an attempt to demonstrate the application of Geospatial Approach in evaluation of Master Planning for Sonamarg Resort most visited tourist place of Kashmir valley. Master Plan (MP) for Tourist Resort of Sonamarg was evaluated using topographical settings (Slope, Aspects and Elevation) natural drainage and land use land cover map. Evaluation of Master plan for Sonamarg tourist resort was carried out in two ways i.e., zone vise (A, B, C and D) and slope vise. High resolution Google Earth satellite images of IKONOS were used to analyze current land use land cover in Sonamarg, which are classified into 7 classes. ASTER DEM was used to prepare the slope, elevation and drainage maps. RETScreen Expert was used to get the climate data from NASA to correlate it with the Tourist inflow months. Results indicated that “Zone A” may exhibit conversion from pastures and built up into mixed zone and village settlement; “Zone B” from agriculture to riverfronts; “Zone C” from pasture land to golf course and camping areas; “Zone D” from built up, pastures and recreations sites to golf lodges and facilities areas. Slope vise evaluation indicated that forest should be on higher slope, recreational tourist including Golf Course, River Front and Organized Parks on the moderate slope while built up on the lower slope. The Rapid settlement expansion is seen as one of the potential threats to sustainable development and settlement planning coupled with effective resource utilization and allocation of infrastructure initiatives are other key concerns
Buddhism: An Ancient Point In The China - India Synergy
For both China and India, Buddhism is a useful enhancer of cultural soft power. The religion has, over the past decade, increased in importance for India as New Delhi tries to reenergize the religious tradition and integrate it into the country’s cultural strength; for China, meanwhile, Buddhism is animportant means of soothing domestic discontent and staving off risks to its territorial integrity. This article finds how Buddhism has strengthen the bilateral ties between two countries. Buddhism, which China has begun describing as an “ancient Chinese religion”, and India which has started to incorporate genuine spiritual elements, now operates as a tool of synergise cooperation amongst two nations. Also, as both seek influence among Buddhist countries and international Buddhist organisations, this article finds that whether use of Buddhism by different means is straightforwardly tactical and influential enough or not

The purpose of this study was The Impact of Low level of education on the Socialization of children. (A Case study of southern Punjab, Pakistan) conducted in the area of district RajanPur. Questioners were the basic tools for taking interviews.23 questioners were prepared for 160 respondents. The respondents were the parents. Mostly parents were uneducated, some were less educated and some of them were highly educated. According to them, education is necessary for the socialization of the children. This study described and analyzes the difference between the socialization of the low level educated parents and well educated parents. Educated parents can guide their children well as compared to less educated parents. Educated parents have good balance in the traditions, culture and modernity. The children of the educated parents can perform better in every field of life because they have already platform in their professional life

Clinical Characteristics of Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma In Suburban Rawalpindi
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver tumor and represents the third-leading cause of cancer-related death in the world. The incidence of HCC continues to increase worldwide, with a unique geographic, age, and sex distribution. The present study is aimed to determine the prevalence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) in sub-urban Rawalpindi Pakistan and to evaluate the role of its associated risk factors. Blood samples were collected and different biochemical blood tests were performed in this study. The study was conducted from August 2015 to July 2016. Blood samples collected and processed after serum separation., The current result showed that people between the age of 30-60 years are potentially at a higher risk of getting HCCfemales are higher risk of getting HCC than males (P<0). The clinicopathological result showed that including the higher value in HCC patients than the normal NON-HCC people
Non Wood Forest Products for Rural Livelihood and Sustainable Forestry with special reference to Chhattisgarh, India
Non-wood forest products or NWFP is one of the most important forest resources that nourish the Indian rural economy. Non-timber forest products (NTFPs) constitute an important source of livelihood for millions of people from forest fringe communities across the world. In India, NTFPs are associated with socio-economic and cultural life of forest dependent communities inhabiting in wide ecological and geo-climatic conditions throughout the country. It is estimated that 275 million poor rural people in India, depend on NTFPs for at least part of their subsistence and cash livelihoods (Pandey, et al., 2016).Food and agricultural organization (FAO) of the United Nations defines NWFP as goods of biological origin other than wood derived from forests, other wooded land and trees outside forests. NWFPs are important in household food security. They are particularly important in reducing the shortages suffered during the hunger periods of the agricultural cycle. In rural India, NWFP is valued as component of social and agricultural identity. However, these use and values vary enormously from one area to the next (FAO, 1994). NWFPs are derived from a variety of sources such as plants (trees, shrubs, herbs, grasses, palms), animals, (insects, birds, reptiles, large animals ), and a range of other sources. Different plant parts (e.g. roots, stems, barks, leaves, flowers, seeds, fruits) often provide different NWFPs at different seasons of the year. Furthermore, NWFPs exhibit considerable variation in their use, with some consumed immediately on harvest ( e.g. fruits, fodder, wild meat), others after primary processing (e.g. edible nuts, bamboo, and rattans products), and still other proceedings through a series of downstream processing to meet marke
Determinants of Household Food Security in Doyogena woreda, Kambata Tembaro Zone, South Nation Nationalities and People Regional State, Ethiopia
Currently, food security issues become one of the serious concerns and top priority areas for developing countries. Having a clear picture of food security status and its major determinants helps policymakers and planners devise new policies that enhance food security. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the status of food security in the study area, to identify the major determinants of food security among the rural household, and to identify different food security status groups to cope with food insecurity. Farm households reported having employed different coping strategies including consuming less preferred food staples, selling productive equipment and livestock, and migrating to other places in search of food and job. The finding of this study ensured that rural households are highly diverse and Policymakers need to reflect on the most suitable ways of supporting this diversity. Any attempt to intervene in the community needs to target specific groups of societies such as female-headed households, wage workers, petty traders, food insecure, and the poor
Review of Democracy Values and Anti-Corruption Campaign in Nigeria: An Issue for Electoral Integrity and National Development.
Elections have offered a way through which the people freely decide who their leaders should be. Unfortunately, in Nigeria, what could be called electoral corruption was observed recently during the election process. This has stigmatized the image of the government, weakened its credibility and reduced the effectiveness of the development programmes and polices which so far have been formulated. The objective of the study is to review democracy values and effort of anti- corruption campaign to achieve electoral integrity for national development. The study adopted a contents analysis, secondary data were gathered from the work of scholars, empirical studies and theoretical framework was made to arrive at a complete understanding of the trends in democratic process and anti-corruption campaign in Nigeria. The study concluded that if societies were not corrupt, if the elite, officials and bureaucrats maintained probity, social development would be faster. The study recommended that for a complete overhauled electoral system and further deepened the democratic ethics that will respond to Nigeria democratic evolution as a country and whose results will adequately mirror the preference of the voting public those who are involved in electoral corruption should be exposed and punish, this will set the nation on the path of good governance which broadly equates genuine popular democracy
Urban Design of On-Street Stops and Road Environments: A Conceptual Framework
Transit stops should be situated where they are convenient to use and the safety of passengers and alternative road users has been taken into consideration. A review of the literature has indicated that there are some important factors that should be taken into consideration at the design and planning stage. These factors have been found to have the ability to influence the location of a transit stop and transit shelter. The underlying focus of this paper is that on-street stops and their connecting roads are viewed as a holistic environment, instead of an ordinary place or location for transit modes to make a stop. This environment includes elements such as Accessibility through street connectivity, street, and road design, and transit stops design. This paper develops a conceptual model that links the various variables together, highlighting how one affects the other and their impact on the overall ability to produce a good passenger experience, which is the fundamental goal of any successful on-street stop design. This paper concludes that transit stops are easier to locate when there is high street connectivity which determines to a large extent how transit passengers gain access to transit service. Also, proper design and configuration of on-street stops and connecting roads lead to increased safety, thereby leading to increased ridership and revenue and also impact how everyone on the street interacts with the transit system
