Bank Competitive Condition and Bank Performance, Evidence from Emerging Markets
Get PDFThis paper verify the level of bank competition and the relation between bank competition and bank performance of four emerging market countries which include Brazil, Russia, India and China. The data is random selected from the BankScope database and consist of 692 set of observations during 2000 to 2014. The final regression results declare that the bank market of China, Russia and Brazil are under the monopolistic competition, while the bank market in India is in the monopoly. Moreover, the bank competition is negatively associated with the bank performance through the investigation

Get PDFChina's Forest-based Wellness Care Industry started late, but in recent years, with people's increasingly strong pursuit of high-quality healthy life, driven by a series of policies, it has received more and more attention and involvement from social capital. How to innovate the business model of emerging industries deserves academic attention. This study takes Shengu Town in Dinghu Mountain as an example. Its business model under the background of industrial development has five characteristics: taking the middle and high consumption customer groups of all ages as the target customers, taking multi-industry integration as the value proposition, taking multi-path implementation as the value creation and delivery, taking tourism real estate as the value capture, and taking rural revitalization as the social responsibility. Based on these characteristics, according to the customer segmentation theory and the business model innovation model, this study puts forward innovative suggestions for timesharing model and alliance model.
A Study of Ideological-Political Instruction in Systemic Functional Linguistics Class

Systemic functional linguistics as a mainstream general linguistics theory has become an obligatory or optional course in the graduate and undergraduate program for majors of foreign languages and literature. This paper aims to investigate the ideological-political factors in systemic functional linguistics, mainly focusing on the meta-functions. Code-switching in the Context of Cooperative Principle and Politeness Principle from Perspective of Sociolinguistics
Get PDFoai:ojs2.rclss.com:article/1Code-switching is a common phenomenon when speakers change from two or more languages or language varieties during communication. It serves as a communication strategy to achieve speakers’ communicative purposes. This paper discusses code-switching cases from perspective sociolinguistics to explore the motives and implication of code-switching. Two theories, Cooperative Principle and Politeness Principle, are adopted in the study and both offer good explanations for code-switching from different perspective. The maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relation and the maxim of manner under Cooperative Prince principle explain the mechanisms by which people interpret conversation implicature by using code-switching. Six maxims of Politeness Principle are discussed to explore the motives of code-switching from another angle: the tact maxim, the generosity maxim, the approbation maxim the modesty maxim the agreement maxim, and the sympathy maxim. The study finds that code-switching happens because of speakers’ purposes from communication convenience to social rules. The study helps reader better understand the practical motives and importance of code-switching; meanwhile, it provides more insights to the research of code-switching
Research Progress on the Correlation between Psychological Factors and Vitiligo
Get PDFvitiligo is a volume damaging skin disease caused by the destruction of epidermal melanocytes (MC). Psychological factors are not only one of the predisposing factors for more patients with vitiligo, but also bring great mental pressure to patients and their families, reduce their quality of life, and are not conducive to the rehabilitation of vitiligo. This paper reviews the psychological investigation in patients with vitiligo by consulting and summarizing the literature to improve the clinical understanding of the psychological state of patients and their families. Ensuing more appropriate psychotherapy and interventions should improve the cure rate of vitiligo as well as the psychological state of patients and their families
Life Lessons: The Philosophy of Growth Contained in Jack London’s White Fang : An Exploration of Survival and Love
Get PDFAs one of the outstanding representative works of the famous American realist writer Jack London, the story tells the growth process of a little gray wolf named “White Fang”. This novel describes how a young wolf enters the civilized world of human beings from the wilderness, and tells the legendary experience of the main character, White Fang, who eventually turns from a wolf to a dog through trials and tribulations. This novel tells people that human society is different from the animal world, and they need not only to adapt to the environment but also to accept the ethical and moral constraints in order to obtain a broader space for growth if they want to survive in society. By reviewing the main content of White Fang and the author’s biography, this paper analyzes the background of the creation of White Fang and highlights the growth of White Fang and the meaning of life by analyzing the description of the survival experience of White Fang in the work to show the tenacity of its vitality, with a view to reflecting on its inspiration and reflection on real life through the theme of the law of life and the principles of life in the novel. Furthermore, it aims at giving a positive interpretation of the meaning of life.

The Development of Salt Resources in Pakistan under the Perspective of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

But Pakistani salt resources have a smaller share in international salt trade. The paper analyses the current situation in terms of the development of salt resources in Pakistan through SWOT analysis under the perspective of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. On this basis, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for developing salt resources in Pakistan, such as increasing salt export, developing the health and wellness tourism with salt as the theme, establishing salt chemical industry chain based on strengthening Sino-Pakistan production capacity cooperation. These measures will help to further alleviate Pakistan's balance of payments

A Historical Review of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappan Civilization in Pakistan
Get PDFThe ancient Indus civilization, also known as Harappan civilization is famous for the ruins of two ancient cities, Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa, which remained unknown for thousands of years due to little written record in human history. It was not in the 1820s, when archaeologists excavated a large number of stone tools, bronzes, seals and agricultural remains in the two cities, that the world began to learn about the secret of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappan civilization. The total number of Harappan civilization sites may be as many as 2,000, but most of them are still buried underground, awaiting further excavation. Nearly 200 sites have been excavated or are being excavated, ranging from ancient couple tombs to ancient city ruins. Mohenjo-Daro, which means "hill of death" in the local language, is an ancient city of the civilization of the Indus valley located on the right bank of the Indus River, northern Sindh province, southern Pakistan. It was built around 2500 BC and was abandoned in 1900 BC. In the sites of both cities, archaeologists discovered the advanced scientific and technological achievements of the ancient Indus civilization, but they were puzzled by the loss of the civilization. This paper starts with the introduction of the ancient Indus civilization before moves to the discovery process of Harappa and Mohendaro. Literature review on the studies on Harappa and Mohenjodaro is presented with a brief analysis in the end. After giving an outline of the civilization, the paper tries to solve the mystery of the loss of civilization, but so far no agreed understanding of the cause has been reached. By reviewing the civilizations of Harappa and Mohenjo Daro, the paper presents to readers the ancient civilizations of Pakistan and enhance their understanding of human science, technology and culture in ancient times
