Research Review on Accessibility and Equalization of Public Cultural Services in Chinese Rural Areas
Get PDFGeographers have conducted a lot of research on the accessibility of public service facilities and the equalization of public services based on the perspective of human-land relationship. The common feature is to analyze the accessibility and equalization of a specific type of public service facilities, to understand the current spatial pattern of service facilities, to evaluate the spatial balance of facility distribution, to identify the scarcity areas of facility supply, and to optimize the overall deployment pattern by selecting sites for new facilities with other measurement methods. In terms of research area, there are more large-scale spatial accessibility studies in favor of urban areas, but few studies specifically focus on accessibility in rural areas; there is also a lack of research on the spatial pattern of equalization based on the rural perspective. From the perspective of public service facility types, medical and education are the main research objects, while cultural service facilities are less involved. Therefore, research on the spatial accessibility and equalization of public service facilities should be extended more to cultural facilities, especially the spatial equity of public cultural service facilities in rural areas. The focus should be on how to visually express the layout of public cultural services as well as comprehensively consider factors such as the location of rural settlements, distance to facility sites, transportation networks, travel modes, and choice preferences. It is suggested to introduce the analysis of multiple quantitative indicators of accessibility into the planning and construction of public service facilities to further strengthen the realism and scientificity of public service facility planning. Reasonable site selection and optimization of layout patterns for public cultural facilities is also a key factor to improve the construction of basic public service system in rural areas

Get PDFPak-China relationship cannot be understood by applying traditional theories and concepts of international relation. Relationship has been developed on the basis of mutual respect, inclusiveness and principles of brotherhood. Brotherhood is a unique model of international relationship, which have no precedent. The relationship started as business as usual but meeting of Prime Minister Muhammad Ali Bogra and Chinese Prime Minister Zhou Enlai in 1955, changed the whole dynamics.
Since then, relationship got stronger with every passing moment and successive generations carried the message of brotherhood. The history is full of examples, where both countries stood shoulder to shoulder to face all challenges. China never compromised on core interests of Pakistan and Pakistan never compromised on the core interests of China. Along the time, both countries explored all options to strengthen the relationship and established trusted and deep linkages in all fields including defence, trade, culture, science and technology.  
Return to Nature and Gain Self-consciousness: An Analysis of Jack London’s Consciousness of Spiritual Ecology in The Valley of the Moon
Get PDFAbstract: With the deterioration of the global ecological environment, the thinking on ecological issues involving in Jack London’s novels has attracted more and more attention of the world. This paper attempts to interpret the profound spiritual ecological consciousness in Jack London’s The Valley of the Moon from the perspective of ecocriticism through text analysis. A study of spiritual ecology should provide an approach to the spiritual crisis by analyzing the essence of the spiritual ecology. This paper starts with analyzing the disorder of spiritual ecology including isolation from nature and loss of self-awareness, and goes further to give an analysis on Jack London’s proposal that human should return to nature and regain self-consciousness. Readers may gain some enlightenment from The Valley of the Moon and this paper.

For college English majors, the ideological and political curriculum is a new teaching reform. While cultivating students' language skills, teachers should subtly combine the contents of the texts learned to carry out ideological and political education, help students deeply understand China's excellent traditional culture and the great achievements of socialist modernization, generate a sense of national pride and identity, and enhance the "four self-confidence". Especially for students in ethnic minority areas, it is necessary to improve students' awareness of building a Chinese national community in teaching, knowing that all ethnic groups should hold together like pomegranate seeds. A Flipped Classroom Approach to Improve Nursing Students’ Learning Performance, Critical Thinking Skills, and Learning Satisfaction in a Stroke Care Training Course
Get PDFThe present study explored the effectiveness of presenting a stroke accident training program in three one-hour classes using a flipped classroom approach to traditional classroom teaching to third-year nursing students during their neurological clinical rotation. A quasi-experimental pretest and post-test study is designed to test the flipped classroom's effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. In so doing, eighty diploma nursing and midwifery students in the third-year clinical nursing program were selected from a medical college as the study participants. They were randomly assigned as the control and experimental groups, with 40 and 40 students. During the one-month training program, the control group (the non-flipped classroom) was taught using the traditional teaching method.
In contrast, the experimental group (the flipped classroom) was taught in a flipped learning mode. The flipped sessions comprised pre-recorded lectures, online quizzes, and in-class group activities in the course design. Data were collected through a student questionnaire and a knowledge and skill test. Overall, the flipped classroom students did significantly better in learning performance (knowledge and skills), critical thinking and reported higher learning satisfaction (p<0.05). It was concluded that flipped classrooms can positively impact multiple factors within the clinical setting. Being better prepared will help newly graduated nurses care for not just stroke patients but for all patients requiring complex care

A Comparative Study of The Communication Behaviors of Popular and Neglected Preschool Children
Get PDFIn this study, I developed a communication behavior observation form and used it as a research tool to analyze and compare the communication behaviors of three popular preschool children and three neglected preschool children. The results revealed both commonalities and significant differences in the communication behaviors of popular and neglected preschool children, with significant differences in the dimensions of communication behavior context, willingness level of communication behavior, the emotional attitude of communication behavior, the object of communication behavior, function of communication behavior, and outcome of communication behavior（P＜0.05）. There were no significant differences in communication behavior relationships and communication behavior performance styles（P＞0.05）. Whether there were commonalities or differences, popular preschool children's communication behaviors outperformed neglected preschool children's communication behaviors on various dimensions.
