This study investigates the degree of integration of Chinese traditional aesthetic education and its relationship with the level of global-mindedness among university students. The research assesses multiple dimensions of aesthetic education, including sense of beauty, satisfaction of mind-heart, satisfaction of intellectual intuition, integration of parts into a total system, symbolism, and simplicity, alongside the key components of global-mindedness, such as acceptance of different cultures, care for world problems, interconnectedness and peace, and world citizenship. A mixed-methods approach was utilized, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate respondents’ perceptions and explore the connections between these constructs. Findings reveal that Chinese traditional aesthetic education is generally perceived as "integrated," with the strongest results in fostering a sense of beauty and satisfaction of mind-heart, while areas like symbolism and simplicity demonstrate potential for further enhancement. The level of global-mindedness among students was assessed as "evident," with interconnectedness and peace emerging as the most pronounced dimensions. Correlation analysis highlights significant relationships between specific dimensions of aesthetic education—such as satisfaction of mind-heart and sense of beauty—and aspects of global-mindedness, particularly world citizenship and care for world problems. However, the overall correlation between the two constructs was not significant, indicating room for improved alignment. This study underscores the importance of integrating traditional aesthetic education with contemporary global themes, such as sustainability, intercultural competence, and social justice, to enhance students' readiness for a rapidly changing, interconnected world. Recommendations include expanding experiential learning opportunities, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and contextualizing traditional aesthetics within global education frameworks to maximize their relevance and impact. These findings contribute to the broader discourse on education reform and the cultivation of culturally rooted, globally minded citizens

It is widely acknowledged that language serves as a carrier of culture. Rooted in unique cultural backgrounds and conveying specific cultural connotations, words worldwide represent the most fundamental and flexible elements of languages. The relationship between humanity and nature is interdependent, and plant culture is closely intertwined with connected to human life. Indeed, the appreciation of plants and the cultivation of aesthetic sensibilities have become meaningful pursuits for many individuals. This is attributable to two key aspects: First, owing to their significantly practical value, bamboos in nature are used to craft tableware, and flower petals serve as important ingredients in certain foods. Plants also play an essential role in air purification, thus rendering them indispensable to human life. Second, people often project their emotions and aspirations onto plants because of the latter’s distinctive shapes and growth habits. However, due to differences in cognitive patterns, religious beliefs, natural environments, and aesthetic values, plant-related vocabulary in English and Chinese embodies different cultural meanings. With the escalating global interaction, understanding the cultural connotations of plants is crucial to avoiding misunderstandings and facilitating effective cross-cultural communication. Cultural blending itself can transcend linguistic barriers and promote the construction of a global village. This essay explores the connotations, similarities and differences, social determinants, and significance of plant words to illuminate their distinct cultural interpretations

This study examines the relationship between aerobic exercise volume and body composition changes among adults aged 25-35 at a Chinese university. Aerobic exercise is widely recognized for its benefits on cardiovascular health and body composition, yet the optimal volume for this demographic remains underexplored. Utilizing a descriptive-comparative-correlational design, this research surveyed participants on their exercise habits—assessing frequency, intensity, and duration—and measured changes in key metrics like body fat percentage, muscle mass, and waist-to-hip ratio. Findings indicate a significant positive correlation between higher exercise volume and favorable improvements in body composition. Notably, participants engaging in consistent, long-term aerobic exercise demonstrated the most pronounced benefits. The study also reveals that while intentions for regular exercise are high, actual adherence varies, highlighting a gap between knowledge and practice. These results underscore the importance of structured, volume-focused aerobic programs tailored to this age group to maximize body composition outcomes. The research provides a foundation for developing personalized exercise prescriptions that can effectively address metabolic health and physical fitness in young adults
