Get PDFThis paper aims to explore the path of integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into college English teaching, so as to improve the cross-cultural communication ability and cultural literacy of English majors and enhance cultural confidence. Through comprehensive analysis of relevant literature, questionnaires, interviews and teaching practice, this study finds that integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into college English teaching is of great significance and can be achieved through multiple paths such as curriculum setting, textbook compilation, teaching methods, improvement of teachers' qualities and extracurricular activities. At the same time, this paper also puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures to promote the better integration of excellent traditional Chinese culture into college English teaching.

An Innovative Study on Teaching Basic Music Theory in Chinese Higher Education Institutions
Get PDFThis study explores the effectiveness of innovative teaching strategies in the basic music theory curriculum at the Music College of Zhaoqing University, Guangdong Province, China. With the ongoing reforms in Chinese music education, there is a growing interest in integrating modern pedagogical approaches to improve student engagement, understanding, and the practical application of music theory. The research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing surveys to assess students’ learning experiences, comprehension, and feedback on the current music theory teaching methods. The study evaluates students' performance in key music theory concepts, including intervals, chords and harmony, rhythm, key signatures, and melodic structures, while also investigating the challenges faced by students and teachers. Results suggest that while most students are satisfied with the clarity and pace of the course material, there is significant variation in their understanding of complex concepts, such as rhythm and melodic structures. The study highlights the need for targeted instructional interventions to address these gaps and recommends further exploration of interdisciplinary approaches and longitudinal studies to track the impact of innovative methods over time. By offering valuable insights into the ongoing transformation of music education in China, this study provides a foundation for future curriculum development and pedagogical improvements in the field
A Study on the Improvement of College English Teachers' Assessment Literacy in the Context of New Liberal Arts
Get PDFThis study aims to explore how to improve the assessment literacy of college English teachers in the context of the new liberal arts. Enhancing the classroom evaluation literacy of college English teachers in the context of the construction of new liberal arts is of strong practical significance for improving the evaluation system of college English teaching and enhancing the teaching literacy of college English teachers. To address the current problems of English teachers in colleges and universities, such as low awareness of classroom evaluation, insufficient ability of classroom evaluation, and lack of science in classroom evaluation, first, the study discusses the concept and importance of teachers' assessment literacy, and investigates the current situation and problems of university English teachers' assessment literacy by using questionnaire. Then, the paper analyses the reasons that lead to insufficient teachers' assessment literacy and propose specific strategies to improve teachers' assessment literacy, including advocating reflective teaching, cultivating teachers' innovation ability, and establishing a scientific teaching evaluation mechanism. Finally, it suggests steps and suggestions for implementing these strategies. The results of the study show that improving teachers' assessment literacy is a complex and important process that requires the joint efforts of teachers, the education sector and society to achieve the goal of cultivating talent in the new situation

As a piano teacher in a university, on the basis of combining piano teaching practice, the author uses literature method and investigation method to investigate the current situation of piano teaching in preschool education major of Linyi University from the perspective of social needs and professional development, makes an objective analysis of the teaching situation, finds problems and puts forward countermeasures. Through exploration and practice, the author thinks that we should attach importance to students' piano foundation and improve students' motivation to learn piano. Teachers should strengthen the rational use of teaching methods and pay attention to the guidance of students' learning methods; In the reform of teaching organization form, group class should be the main, supplemented by individual teaching; Strengthen teaching feedback; Attach importance to the improvement and development of teachers' profession, and find a new way suitable for the piano teaching of preschool education in local colleges and universities, so as to send a group of qualified preschool teachers to the society

The research reveals a positive correlation between higher frequency of social media usage and increased student engagement in organization activities. This suggests that social media can serve as a catalyst for engagement within the unique academic context of SDUTCM. The study provides valuable insights into the relationship between social media and student organizations, contributing to the improvement of student engagement, organization efficiency, and the understanding of social media's role in higher education. It also highlights the university's progressive approach in leveraging technology for educational and organizational advancement while promoting responsible social media use. Analysis of the Art Education Status in Various Regions of Meizhou City Based on Participation in Painting Competitions

This study examines the current state of art education in different regions of Meizhou City, focusing on teacher resources and the participation and outcomes of the "Lin Fengmian Cup" painting competition in 2021. The study analyzes teacher resources and educational outcomes in both urban and rural areas, revealing disparities. Based on data collected from the painting competition, it is evident that participation and performance in art education vary significantly across regions. Urban areas tend to have higher participation and better outcomes, reflecting greater access to resources and opportunities. In contrast, economically underdeveloped rural areas face challenges in art education. The study underscores the importance of addressing these disparities, enhancing teacher resources, and providing policy and financial support for art education in less-developed regions. Promoting educational equity and advancing comprehensive quality education are essential for fostering well-rounded students and promoting social progress
