Students' Cognition of Art Education and Its Impact on Personal Growth in Selected Schools of China: Towards Integrating Critical Thinking into Artistic Practices
Get PDFThis study investigates Chinese middle school students' perceptions of art education and its influence on personal growth and development. A sample of 450 students from Zhejiang Province middle schools completed a survey assessing perceived impacts of arts engagement. Results revealed students rated the greatest enhancement in creativity, followed by imagination and general knowledge. Females reported higher creativity gains than males. Ninth graders perceived greater knowledge growth compared to seventh graders. Students valued affective development most strongly, followed by behavioral then cognitive impacts. Perceived intrapersonal growth positively correlated with broader personal gains. Flow experiences during arts activities associated with higher ratings across all domains. Overall, findings substantiate multidimensional benefits of arts immersion for holistic cultivation aligned with China's curriculum reform goals. However, gaps persist in equitable access and tailored programming. Recommendations include expanded teacher training, needs-based funding formulas, student-centered adaptation, gender-inclusive pedagogies, leveraging community resources, balanced assessment systems, and communicating advocacy evidence to promote supportive policies and environments ensuring high-quality arts education reaches all Chinese youth. This study elucidates students’ perceptions validating arts engagement as a pathway towards national cultural prosperity and innovation

This paper examines the utilization of the "Calendar" motif by several feminist artists as a symbol representing the passage of time. Through this visual language, these artists convey themes intricately linked to the female experience, such as growth, change, maturity, and aging. Their transformative approach extends beyond mere subjects and artistic techniques to encompass a unique perspective characterized by the liberation from external viewpoints and the male-dominated gaze, redirecting attention to the inner world of women. In doing so, female artists offer a nuanced and profound exploration of humanity, emotions, and life experiences, transcending simplistic gender labels and feminist advocacy. The paper explres the evolution of Calendar paintings, shedding light on their depiction of historical and aesthetic shifts in Chinese society. Serving as a hallmark of its era, the Calendar not only chronicles the progression of national capitalism but also mirrors the cultural metamorphosis of old China. Furthermore, the paper explores contemporary female artists' engagement with cyclical themes, illustrating how they navigate the life cycle, natural rhythms, and women's experiences across diverse mediums. Finally, the author's photographic creation is discussed, offering reflections on Chinese women's pursuit of autonomy amidst the interplay of tradition and modernity

In recent years, the aeroponic cultivation of potato seed has the advantages of high yield and high efficiency as a newly developed virus-free production technology, which effectively solves the problems of soil-borne diseases and continuous cropping obstacles during the potato seed production, as well as opens up a new way for the scalization of potato seed production. In this thesis, the key points of potato seed aeroponic technology, the facility intelligentization development, the core nutrient solution and cultivation management and methods of automatic control of supply system were elaborated, the current problems and application prospects of this technology are summarized based on personal production experience, aimed to provide some foundations for the production as well as practical guidance of potato seed aeroponics cultivation

Despite its widespread adoption, online teaching faces significant challenges compared to traditional classroom methods. This study delves into the current landscape of online teaching in vocational English courses, identifying key issues such as the lack of targeted course content, insufficient teaching resources, and low student participation. Drawing on a literature review and utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including questionnaire surveys and field observations, this study offers insights into the complexities of online teaching. Findings highlight the importance of improving teacher's technical abilities, fostering active student engagement, optimizing teaching resources and modes, and strengthening online teaching supervision. These strategies are pivotal in enhancing the quality of online teaching and paving the way for further advancements in vocational English education. Future research avenues include exploring innovative teaching models and leveraging emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and virtual reality to enrich the online teaching experience
The Importance of Local Opera Inheritors' Identity in Their Artistic Creation: A Case Study of Chang Deng Opera in Leye, Guangxi

With a history spanning over 300 years, Chang Deng Opera is a unique local opera form that has evolved from folk traditions deeply rooted in the cultural and geographical context of the region. Utilizing a qualitative research approach, this study chooses semi-structured interviews with the inheritors from County. The findings highlight the significant influence of cultural heritage on personal identity and how this identity, in turn, shapes artistic creativity. Inheritors' narratives reveal a deep emotional connection to their art, driving their commitment to preserving and innovating within the tradition. This study also compares Chang Deng Opera with other local opera forms, illustrating its distinct characteristics and contributions to the broader landscape of Chinese traditional arts. The implications for the preservation of traditional arts emphasize the necessity of engaging with the cultural and emotional dimensions of these art forms, ensuring their continued relevance and vitality
Structural Functionalism in Rural Primary Education: An Inquiry into the Alleviation of Digital Dilemmas
Get PDF This paper thoroughly examines the educational challenges faced by China's rural primary schools in the modern digital context and suggests solutions based on the structural functionalism theory. The allocation of educational resources in rural primary schools is blatantly unequal under the dual structures of urban and rural areas, and the use of digital teaching also creates the dual issues of system imbalance and incomplete function. This paper, which is based on the structural functionalism theory, explains the challenges that digital education in rural primary schools faces, including a lack of resources, a shortage of skilled teachers, and an imperfect top-level educational design. In light of these challenges, the paper proposes some solutions, including enhancing the creation of digital education resources, enhancing teachers' capacity for digital teaching, creating and refining the digital management system for rural primary education, and fostering shared values to support the social identity of rural primary education digitization. In order to improve rural primary education in China, close the educational resource gap between urban and rural areas, advance educational equity, and raise the standard of rural primary education, this paper offers a theoretical and practical perspective on the digital transformation of rural primary schools
CiteSpace-based Survey of International Advances in Chinese Traditional Culture Research in 1999-2019
Get PDFWith the globalization strategy and the initiative “One Belt and One Road” in China, Chinese traditional culture has a great impact on the world. This study, based on CiteSpace, explores the total numbers, hotspots, characteristics and tendency of international research on Chinese traditional culture, by retrieving 866 articles from SSCI and A&HCI in the Web of Science (Core Collection). The results of the study revealed that: there is a strong increases in total output from 1999 to 2019 and the research on the theme of Chinese traditional culture has become interdisciplinary; the most productive authors aren’t the ones in the most cited documents and the journals on which the most cited documents publish aren’t the prolific journals; most of the researchers are from Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland of China, Canada and USA. In view of the results, it is obvious that it is a good way to spread Chinese traditional culture over the world. It is strongly recommended that we should do more analysis on the international literatures with different paradigms, methods and metrics in order to get a more comprehensive and correct domain visualization map of Chinese traditional culture research
