A Study on the Applied Undergraduate Students' "General Skills" from perspective of Ancient "Six Arts" Talent Cultivation Model
Get PDFIn a globalized educational landscape, the cultivation of "general skills" such as communication, critical thinking, and adaptability has become a central focus, particularly in applied undergraduate education. This study explores the potential of integrating the ancient Chinese Six Arts framework—rites, music, archery, chariotry, calligraphy, and mathematics—into modern educational models to address gaps in holistic skill development among applied undergraduate students in China. By drawing on this culturally resonant framework, the study proposes a "General Six Arts" education model, aligning traditional values with contemporary needs to foster ethical awareness, creativity, leadership, and critical reasoning. Through a comprehensive review of literature and an analysis of current practices, the research highlights successes and challenges in skill-based general education in China, offering insights into course design, teaching methodologies, and institutional positioning. This approach emphasizes the balance between technical expertise and transferable skills, promoting student readiness for complex professional and societal roles. The findings underscore the importance of blending traditional wisdom with modern pedagogical strategies to create well-rounded, adaptable graduates prepared for dynamic global challenges

By changing the cross-section of the beam and column and different spans, the utilization rate of material can be improved and the production cost can be reduced

Get PDF This research examines the effectiveness of the Instruction Teaching Support System and Teaching Competency in Applied Colleges in China, surveying 303 teachers and 381 students using a quantitative approach. The findings reveal that the school's teaching support initiatives have effectively addressed teachers' needs for professional development, contributing positively to their teaching practices and career growth. Teachers expressed high satisfaction with the support system, noting its positive impact on daily teaching and career advancement. The management system was seen as well-organized, with clear development pathways and strong institutional backing for improving teaching quality. The school's performance incentives, such as merit-based pay, promotions, and welfare benefits, were widely appreciated for motivating teachers. Teachers also valued the diverse skills training opportunities provided by the school, which helped them adapt to modern educational demands. Students also rated their teachers highly, particularly in terms of professionalism, ethical conduct, and assessment abilities, indicating the positive influence of the school's support system on teaching competency. Overall, the study concludes that a well-structured teaching support system is crucial for fostering teachers' professional growth and enhancing teaching quality
Transforming Narratives: The Influence OF Digital Storytelling on Traditional Narratives in English Literature

Specifically, it examines how digital storytelling transformation (IDST) impacts participants' understanding of traditional narratives (UTN) and their awareness of digital platforms in storytelling (ADP). Additionally, the research explores the relationship and differences between digital storytelling and traditional narratives (RDTN), as well as the influence of digital technology and media on narrative methods (IDTM). Through this exploration, the study aims to provide insights into the evolving landscape of narrative and the implications for literary education. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilizing a questionnaire distributed to participants from three universities in Zhejiang Province. The questionnaire assessed their understanding of traditional narratives, awareness of digital platforms, perceptions of the relationship between digital storytelling and traditional narratives, and the impact of digital technology on traditional narrative in English literature.
The analysis revealed high reliability scores for the understanding of traditional narratives (UTN) and awareness of digital platforms (ADP), indicating a solid foundation for engaging with digital storytelling. Participants demonstrated a nuanced understanding of the relationship and differences between digital and traditional narratives (RDTN), with scores reflecting an appreciation for how digital storytelling complements traditional forms. However, the slightly lower score for the influence of digital technology on narrative methods (IDTM) suggests a need for further exploration of how digital tools can transform narrative practices

The Impact of Digital Transformation on Manufacturing Enterprises Innovation
Get PDFWith the rapid development of big data, artificial intelligence and other information technologies, the world economy is entering a new economic era driven by digital technology. Under the background of China Manufacturing 2025, the new generation of digital technology has had a fundamental impact on the reform of China's manufacturing productivity. It also provides a strong driving force for China's manufacturing industry to achieve high-quality development. At present, how to give full play to the driving role of digital innovation elements and achieve performance improvement has become a key concern of the country and enterprises. Based on the data of A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2007 to 2021, this paper uses multiple perspectives to measure the digital transformation of enterprises, uses the fixed effect model to verify the promotion effect of digital transformation on innovation, and further uses the multi-period DID model to verify the impact of digital transformation on the innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises through the parallel trend test. Through the empirical test, it is found that digital transformation can significantly promote the improvement of enterprise innovation performance. The research conclusions not only further enrich the relevant research on enterprise innovation under the background of digital transformation, but also provide a theoretical basis for the formulation and implementation of enterprise digital transformation strategy, have certain policy implications, and have certain reference value for manufacturing enterprises to better carry out digital transformation practice
A study of the relationship between meta-emotions and subjective well-being among higher vocational students
Get PDFThis study intends to examine the relationship between meta-emotions and subjective well-being of higher vocational students through an actual survey of higher vocational students, aiming to provide a basis for enhancing the mental health of higher vocational students and improving their subjective well-being. Three hundred and eighty-seven higher vocational students were selected as subjects, and their meta-emotions and subjective well-being were investigated by questionnaire method. The results showed that: (1) there were two significant positive correlations between emotion attention, emotion discrimination and emotion recovery and subjective well-being. (2) There were significant differences in the levels of emotional attention by gender and being an only child; there were significant differences in emotional discrimination and subjective well-being by subject; and there were significant differences in the three factors of meta-emotions and subjective well-being by grade level, with freshman year being significantly lower than other grades. (3) Meta-emotions are positively predictive of subjective well-being. This study not only explores the relationship between meta-emotions and subjective well-being, but also provides empirical support and theoretical guidance for more targeted guidance to enhance subjective well-being of higher vocational students
Design and application of flipped classroom with online teaching in international finance courses
Get PDFAccording to the previous research on online teaching mode, taking international finance course as an example, flipped classroom is applied to online teaching in colleges and pre-class, in-class and after-class design is carried out. This mode of teaching is adopted for students majoring in financial engineering at grade 2021 and traditional mode of teaching is adopted for students majoring in financial engineering at grade 2020. The research findings are as follows: Flipped classroom with online teaching significantly improves students' evaluation of teachers' teaching satisfaction. Although the adoption of this mode also improves the average test score and teaching quality evaluation of this course, the significance is not high, and the impact degree is weaker than that of teaching satisfaction evaluation
New Athletes Involvement on Team Sports： towards Mitigating Anxiety and Depression
Get PDFThis study explores the potential of new athletes' involvement in team sports as a proactive intervention to mitigate anxiety and depression among 1st and 2nd-year students at Shandong College of Economics and Business. College life, marked by academic challenges and social adjustments, has witnessed a rising prevalence of mental health issues globally. Recognizing the impact of anxiety and depression on academic performance and overall well-being, this research aims to contribute evidence-based insights into the role of physical activity in fostering mental health among college students. Building on the multifaceted benefits of Physical Education (PE) and sports, this study employs a quantitative research design with 280 participants. Descriptive statistics reveal moderate anxiety (M = 15.2, SD = 4.5) and depression (M = 12.8, SD = 3.8) levels. Significantly, actively engaged participants in team sports exhibit lower anxiety and depression than their less-involved peers. Correlation and regression analyses underscore the negative association between hours of team sports participation per week and anxiety/depression levels, emphasizing the potential protective role of sustained engagement .The study contributes to a paradigm shift, advocating for the integration of structured physical activity, particularly through team sports, as a cornerstone in the promotion of mental health among college students. The gender-specific impact highlights the need for tailored interventions, encouraging colleges and universities to prioritize and promote organized team sports programs for holistic student well-being
Marathon Events and Its Contribution to the Sports Culture in Hami City, China
Get PDFThis study investigates the contribution of marathon events on the sports culture of Hami City, Xinjiang, China. Hami City has recently focused on comprehensive health and fitness strategies, contributing to increased sports participation and competitive achievements. While marathons globally have evolved into events fostering community engagement, healthy lifestyles, and economic growth, their specific contribution on Hami City's sports culture remains underexplored. The study employs a quantitative approach, surveying 180 participants to analyze motivations, deterrents, and the perceived contribution of marathons. Results indicate a higher male representation and strong interest among the 26-35 age group. Personal fitness goals and community involvement motivate participation, while lack of interest and time constraints serve as deterrents. The positive contribution of marathons on sports culture, community engagement, and health is evident, emphasizing the need for tailored strategies for inclusivity and targeted promotional campaigns. The study contributes valuable insights for event planning, community development, and policies aimed at enhancing the sports culture and well-being of Hami City residents. This research explores the unique intersection between marathon events and the cultural landscape of Hami City, providing evidence-based recommendations for future initiatives
