Interactive Teaching and Its Influence on Academic Motivation of Students in a Selected Secondary Vocational School in China
This paper examines the relationship between interactive teaching methods and academic motivation among students in a secondary vocational school in China. A survey was conducted with 310 students to assess their perspectives on the extent of interactive teaching and their own academic motivation. Results showed that students experienced interactive techniques to a high degree and demonstrated strong intrinsic and internalized extrinsic motivation. A significant positive correlation was found between interactive teaching and academic motivation. Students assessed both first-year level and the Electronics department as having higher interactivity and motivation than other groups. The findings highlight the motivational advantages of student-centered interactive instructional approaches within vocational education. Further expansion of interactive methods is recommended along with additional research
University Administrators’ Leadership Style Influencing Instructors’ Job Satisfaction in Shanxi, China
This paper investigates the relationship between university administrators' leadership styles and instructors' job satisfaction at Communication University of Shanxi, China. Job satisfaction is crucial for enhancing education quality and productivity, as it positively impacts instructors' motivation and dedication to teaching and research. University administrators play a pivotal role in shaping the work environment and culture. Different leadership styles, including transformational, transactional, and servant leadership, can significantly influence faculty engagement and motivation. The study focuses on the unique cultural and regional context of Shanxi, China, where local norms and policies influence leadership practices. The qualitative study's findings reveal prevalent leadership styles: transformational leaders inspire excellence, transactional leaders clarify expectations, and servant leaders support professional growth. Instructors' job satisfaction is influenced by professional development opportunities, collegial relationships, and fair compensation and recognition. The research highlights the strong link between leadership styles and job satisfaction, offering valuable insights for leadership development and policies to improve instructors' well-being. These findings hold practical implications for Communication University of Shanxi and the broader landscape of higher education in China

This study provides a comprehensive exploration of the transformative journey of China's economic policies and global engagement from its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001 to the present day. The analysis spans three distinct phases: the initial shift from a centrally planned to a market-oriented system, the full integration into the global economic system marked by meticulous adherence to WTO commitments, and the subsequent era characterized by the Belt and Road Initiative and high-quality development strategies. Examining key milestones such as the establishment of free trade zones, internationalization of the yuan, and participation in significant agreements like the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the China-EU Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CECAI), the study highlights China's pivotal role in shaping global economic structures. The findings underscore China's commitment to opening-up, fostering international cooperation, and contributing significantly to reshaping the global economic landscape

The study explores the multifaceted artistic journey of Sun Yinchang, a self-taught "peasant painter" from rural northern China, whose fusion of realism and symbolism in oil paintings forms a captivating narrative. The study explores his unconventional artistic development, emphasizing his departure from academic paths and the attainment of professional competence through personal perception. Operating as an outsider within the artistic system, Sun's career as a freelance artist without a fixed income serves as a valuable case study for contemporary youth aspiring to become oil painters outside established institutional frameworks. His unwavering commitment to rural life, thematic continuity in his work, and symbolic representations of memory, such as corn and agricultural tools, distinguish him from stereotypical portrayals of "peasants" and secure recognition within the domestic art industry. The comprehensive exploration employs qualitative inquiry and visual analysis, drawing insights from interviews with Sun and meticulous examination of his celebrated series. The abstract further analyzes Sun Yinchang's distinctive realistic style, the interplay of compositional form, the "top-down" perspective, and the symbolic implications of his chosen motifs, providing sociological insights into art and offering inspiration for contemporary artists aligning their work with personal concepts

This study investigates the integration of paper cutting, a Chinese intangible cultural heritage, into early childhood education curricula, exploring its multifaceted impact on educational enrichment and the development of children's artistic literacy and innovative abilities. Against the backdrop of China's efforts to safeguard intangible cultural heritage, the research delves into effective strategies and methods for seamlessly embedding paper cutting into early childhood education. The comprehensive literature review traces the historical roots, global influence, cultural significance, and contemporary practices of paper cutting, providing a robust foundation for the analysis. The study emphasizes the role of teachers in instilling appreciation for paper cutting and contends that this traditional art form not only enhances children's creativity but also fosters teamwork and communication skills. Proposing the development of a structured teaching syllabus, an optimal teaching environment, and diverse practical activities, the research advocates for the integration of local cultural characteristics, contributing valuable insights to early childhood education and cultural heritage preservation
Leadership Dimension Factors Among University Administrators Affecting Instructors' Job Satisfaction in a Technology University in China
This study explores leadership dimensions among university administrators and their impact on instructors' job satisfaction in a Chinese technology university, specifically Hubei University of Technology. Against the backdrop of China's rapid growth in higher education and challenges unique to technology-focused institutions, the research investigates the role of leadership in shaping the academic environment. Employing a quantitative research approach, a cross-sectional survey design with 340 respondents was used, along with a comprehensive questionnaire based on the Transformational Leadership Theory. Positive trends in job satisfaction, especially in Teaching and Research Opportunities, Work Environment, and Leadership Support, are revealed. Transformational leadership factors, including idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration, show strong positive correlations with job satisfaction. Despite commendable overall satisfaction levels, attention is needed to address concerns raised by a minority of instructors reporting significant dissatisfaction. The findings contribute insights into effective leadership practices within Chinese technology universities, offering actionable recommendations for administrators, policymakers, and academic leaders. The study concludes by outlining implications for enhancing leadership practices, fostering instructor satisfaction, and promoting the success of technology-focused educational institutions in China and beyond
Operation Management of Grocery Retailer in the UK: A Case of Tesco
Tesco is the biggest grocery retailer in the UK focused on food products selling and some non-food services such as clothing, home appliances, financial, etc. Over the last five years, Tesco has had a healthy growth in revenues and net profits, which reflects the success of Tesco's operations management. The purpose of the study is to explore the successful operation management of Tesco company, which can bring some inspiration for other companies to grow. This paper mainly includes operation design (products, service, process, and layout design), resource planning and control, and capacity management. In terms of operation design, Tesco launched a new baby food range with absolutely no salt or sugar, no artificial colors or spices to protect children’s health; Clubcard, Scan as you go, staff visibility, and Online shopping & Delivery adopted for giving customers’ more benefits and convenience; Tesco belongs to mass service process, adopts tracking technology named thermal imaging cameras to monitor queue lengths, reduce customer waiting time, increasing service speed and flexibility. Tesco mainly uses a functional layout, keeps the layout of its stores the same to allow customers to quickly find the goods, saving shopping time, and designed the display locations of its products to increase its revenue. For Planning and control, Tesco belongs to ‘Produce to stock’, which shows the characteristics of a high volume of products, which can save customers’ time, because the products have been produced in advance for customers to buy. Regarding Capacity management, Tesco adopted a mixed strategy which is chase demand and demand management to manage mismatches. Effective operation management strategies have made outstanding contributions to the realization of Tesco's business objectives, profit increase, and long-term development
The Current Situation and Enhancement of College Students' Mental Health
The purpose of this study is to investigate college students and examine the current status of their mental health, so as to provide a basis for improving the mental health of college students. Three hundred and ninety-six college students were selected as the research subjects and their mental health was investigated by questionnaire method. The results showed that: 1. The mean scores of each dimension of SCL-90 and the mean scores of SCL-90 total scores ranged from 1.2654 to 1.7997, which were higher than the theoretical value of asymptomatic (1 point); the SCL-90 total scores were also higher than the theoretical value of asymptomatic (90 points). 2. The number of college students whose mean scores of each of the 10 dimensions of SCL-90, and whose mean scores of the total score of the scale reached the score of the positive symptom determinationranged from 9.09% to 31.06%; the proportion of college students whose total scores on the SCL-90 reached the positive symptom determination score was 16.41%, and the level of college students' mental health was relatively low.3. Effective and feasible methods to improve college students' mental health have been proposed. This study not only investigates the current situation of college students' mental health, but also provides empirical support and theoretical guidance for improving college students' mental health
Entrepreneurial Skills and Spirit of Students In Higher Vocational Colleges in Guangdong, China
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the employment landscape, making entrepreneurship a critical alternative for students in higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province, China. This study investigates the relationship between entrepreneurial spirit and skills and entrepreneurial education among these students. Utilizing a sample of 623 students and 23 teachers from three higher vocational colleges, the research employs a descriptive-correlational-quantitative approach. The findings reveal a substantial interaction between entrepreneurial skills and education, demonstrating that entrepreneurship education effectively enhances students' entrepreneurial abilities and mindset. Teachers are integral in delivering this education, focusing on cultivating both professional skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. The study underscores the necessity for robust entrepreneurship education to prepare students for the challenges of the modern economy, promoting self-employment and job creation. By developing strategic planning, financial management, relationship management, and problem-solving skills, students are better equipped to navigate the complexities of starting and managing their own businesses. This research contributes to the understanding of how educational practices can foster a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem within vocational institutions, ultimately supporting economic growth and innovation. The results highlight the importance of comprehensive entrepreneurial education in vocational colleges to ensure students are well-prepared for future entrepreneurial endeavors
