    Get PDF
The significance of teacher-student relationships in shaping the learning experience and teacher job satisfaction is increasingly recognized. This paper studies this phenomenon within the unique context of Xianning Vocational Technical College in Hubei, China. The college's cultural backdrop, characterized by reverence for authority and evolving pedagogical approaches, adds complexity to the dynamics of teacher-student interactions. A qualitative research design involving 50 participants, including teachers and students, sheds light on this intricate relationship. Key findings reveal that positive teacher-student interactions significantly influence teacher job satisfaction. Teachers who establish rapport with students and enjoy teaching autonomy report higher job satisfaction. Professional development, recognition, and support systems also play pivotal roles. Comparisons with other educational settings highlight vocational colleges' distinctive characteristics, such as the emphasis on practical skills and smaller class sizes, fostering closer relationships and enhancing job satisfaction.  Implications for educational practices underscore the importance of promoting positive teacher-student relationships, balancing teaching autonomy, and recognizing and supporting educators.  Recommendations include mentoring programs, student feedback mechanisms, and inclusive classroom activities. Additionally, policy considerations advocate for supporting vocational colleges to create a conducive teaching and learning environment. &nbsp

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital commerce, online comments wield substantial influence over consumer decisions. This study delves into the intricate interplay between consumer individual characteristics and the efficacy of online comments, offering a comprehensive investigation of their relationship. Drawing from established theoretical frameworks and considering demographic, behavioral, psychological, and cognitive attributes, we construct a conceptual model that encompasses a spectrum of variables. Utilizing a Likert five-point scale, a survey questionnaire was administered to over 500 participants via an internet-based platform. Subsequent data analysis, including reliability and validity assessments, correlation analyses, and stepwise regression, affirms the influential role of consumer characteristics in shaping the impact of online comments. The findings underscore the significance of behavioral tendencies, psychological dispositions, and cognitive traits in amplifying the efficacy of online comments. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics underlying online comment effectiveness, enabling consumers to make informed decisions and aiding internet service providers in devising tailored marketing strategies. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, this research sheds light on the intricate dynamics between consumer attributes and the credibility of online comments in shaping contemporary consumer behavior and e-commerce trends

University Climate Affecting the Teachers’ Motivation Towards Improvement of Teachers’ Classroom Performance in Shandong Qilu University of Technology

    Get PDF
This study examined how university climate impacts teacher motivation at Qilu University of Technology in China. Motivation theories highlight drives to satisfy needs and internal cognitions. University climate factors like supportive leadership, collegial relationships, professional development, and adequate resources are found to enhance teacher motivation. However, climate-motivation links are understudied in China's centralized education context. This correlational study surveyed 168 faculty on their perceptions of university climate dimensions (leadership support, collegial relationships, professional development, resources) and motivation levels (intrinsic - achievement, relationships, autonomy; extrinsic - compensation, security, reputation, pressure) using researcher-developed questionnaires. Data analysis determined profile, climate and motivation levels, differences based on demographics, and their relationships using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results revealed moderately positive climate perceptions, with peer support viewed most favorably. Motivation was consistently high, especially intrinsic motivation. All climate dimensions positively correlated with motivation, particularly intrinsic motivation. A supportive climate fulfilling needs was significantly associated with heightened motivation. Findings imply administrators should strengthen leadership, peer collaboration, professional development and resources to enhance teacher motivation and performance. &nbsp

Opportunities and Adjustment Strategies of College Students During Adversities for Improved Academic Performance

    Get PDF
This study explored opportunities and adjustment strategies of Chinese graduate students in blended learning. A survey among 102 students using validated questionnaires found overall low opportunities except moderate challenges managing home environments. Students frequently employed active coping like positive thinking and problem analysis, rarely passive strategies. No demographic differences existed. More opportunities correlated with poorer academic performance, mitigated by greater adjustment strategy use. Recommendations include maximizing interactive activities, strengthening time management, increasing teacher consultations, and building peer support. The study provides insights into facilitating personalized, inclusive, resilient blended learning through enhancing spaces, progress monitoring, integrating support systems. Further research can uncover nuanced perspectives to inform evidence-based improvements in policies, pedagogies, and environments for empowering self-directed, motivated learning

Case study Based on Ogane's Problem-solving Process

    Get PDF
In the 1980s, there were problems in the teaching of problem-solving in mathematics in the former Soviet Union, such as formulaic solutions and a lack of emphasis on teaching mathematical thinking. Therefore, Oganesian believes that in the traditional education system and in a large number of mathematical teaching practices, the role of mathematical exercises in developing students' mathematical level is limited. Mathematical exercises are difficult to test students' other aspects of mathematical development and ideological education factors. Introducing new teaching models is an urgent need for teaching mathematical problem-solving. Based on this, Oganesian proposed four steps for solving problems in his book "Teaching Methods for Primary and Secondary School Mathematics": understanding the problem conditions-developing a solution plan - implementing the solution plan - researching the obtained solutions. The article takes the "theorem for determining the perpendicularity of a straight line to a plane" in mathematics as an example, and analyzes its application based on the process of solving problems using the Oganesian method. By introducing mathematical problems into the Oganesian phase problem-solving process, gradually solving problems, delving into the vertical relationship between lines and planes, and analyzing their significance and role in practical applications. Assist students in cultivating thinking methods and problem-solving strategies for mathematical problem-solving systems, guide them to solve mathematical problems more deeply and accurately, enhance the problem-solving ability of mathematical learners, and optimize their thinking logic
