Autonomia curricular, tecnologia digital e mudança da escola: desafios e caminhos

    Get PDF
For years, Angolan society has struggled with the quality of education, questioning both the professional skills of teachers and the infrastructure and functioning of schools. The model of organization and operation of schools requires structural changes, the process of which challenges real autonomy and the essential conditions for its improvement with a focus on good quality learning. This text seeks to reflect on the challenges and possibility of (re)building the school from the creation of spaces for reframing and questioning, leading to an education with emancipatory overtones, which leads to the opening of the school. Methodologically, the text favours the paradigm of qualitative nature, focused on documental analysis and reflection in action. The triangulated literature review suggests viewing curricular autonomy as a collegial construction of teachers, based on continuous and transversal professional training, digital technologies and incentives. This provides an innovate way of curricular organization and change in the school, because, in addition to considering itself the universal curriculum, the school starts to work with a dynamic, dialoguing curricular proposal, producing other operating logics and contributing to its adequacy to the imperatives of the present time.Há anos que a sociedade angolana se debate com a qualidade de ensino, questionando, quer as competências profissionais dos professores, quer as infraestruturas e modo de funcionamento das escolas.

This study suggests ways to expand aesthetic experience through Roland Barthes’ concept the punctum found while creating the interactive artwork deBallution based on the audiences’ throwing activities. Roland Barthes defined the punctum in his book Camera Lucida as applying not a studium or thematic element but the elements of personal experience and memory to an aesthetic element in the photograph. This study develops a methodology for applying the punctum to interactive artwork based on the five symbolic elements of the punctum mentioned by Roland Barthes: String, Speck, Cut, Little hole, and Cast of the dice. It also confirms whether audiences actually experienced the five elements of the punctum and the studium through user testing conducted after making a new test version of the interactive artwork deBallution: Randomized Trip

Yasujirô Ozu’s Tōkyō Monogatari (1953) is often considered as one of the best movies ever made. Within Portuguese cinema, it inspired João Botelho to make his 1986 piece Um Adeus Português. This audio-visual essay attempts to explore the films’ similarities and expose the hearts of both their stories, which are, at their core, simple and moving depictions of families

A reflexão teológica em Moçambique independente (1975-2022)

A retrospective look at the historical and ecclesial context of Mozambique in the reception of the Gospel enables a reading of the path taken by the Church in Mozambique from the first time the Eucharist was celebrated on Mozambican soil in the distant year of 1498. It is a fascinating journey which reflects the challenges of the reception of the Christian faith and its appropriation as translated into the coherent experience of discipleship in the face of the challenges of history. This article seeks to offer a brief reading of the history of the Christian and Catholic faith in Mozambique, based on the pastoral letters of the Bishops and the synodal reflections of the Church in Mozambique. The option for a ministerial Church, organized into small Christian communities was fundamental for the deepening of the faith and for the lay witnessing in the darkest moments of the country’s history, especially when the political class opted for a Marxist-Leninist ideology. The Church, while despoiled and persecuted, purified its faith and the significance of following Christ increased. The challenge now is to continue to be a prophetic Church in an indifferent society.

Historical-critical research regarding the life of Jesus – Leben-Iesu-Forschung – has been decisive in Theology from the 18th century onwards. This article exposes, in the guise of an examination of the state of the art, the path of the search for the “historical Jesus” and presents Joseph Ratzinger\u27s considerations on this topic at different moments of his thought. The way J. Ratzinger responded to research on the historical Jesus reveals his theological methodology, applied especially to Christology. Thus, when analyzing the position of the German theologian regarding the different phases of modern Christology, the relationship that Ratzinger establishes between dogmatic theology and biblical theology is made explicit.

Deaf immigrants in the northeast United States: intelligibility & the interpersonal

How does being an immigrant shape the experience of being deaf in the United States and vice versa?Drawing from approximately 18 months of ethnographic fieldwork in the northeast United States, this research examines the lived experiences of deaf immigrants with a particular attention to their communicative encounters and languaging practices. This article focuses on the collaborative nature of deaf immigrants’ languaging to argue that understanding in communicative encounters is co-produced and that intelligibility is achieved relationally. Through ethnographic examples, I emphasize the importance of interpersonal relationships to establishing understanding in deaf immigrant communicative interactions and argue that, in encounters with the United States immigration regime, the social and interpersonal dimensions of communication are at least as significant (if not more so) than the linguistic dimensions to achieving such understanding

    O poder do canto gestual

António Cabral was born profoundly deaf and had never thought of getting involved in music. While growing up, he had an interest in theatre and painting, and went on to paint professionally. Mãos que Cantam (Singing Hands) is the first professional, Deaf-led signed song group in Portugal. Created in 2010, the group is composed by five Deaf artists (António Cabral, Cláudia Dias, Carlos Gonçalves, Débora Carmo and Patrícia Carmo), one hearing conductor (Sérgio Peixoto) and the group’s designated Portuguese Sign Language interpreter (Sofia Figueiredo). The Deaf artists work as a team, translating lyrics into an aesthetic form of Portuguese Sign Language (Língua Gestual Portuguesa, LGP). Expressing musical elements visually, using different signing voices, developing synchronism to the original song, and rehearsing beginnings and endings of signed verses are all results of a group effort, in a fruitful Deaf-hearing collaboration, based on a profound respect for the language and culture of the Portuguese Deaf community. Colin Thomson is one of the first Deaf sign-singers in the UK. He had a Deaf father, and has a profoundly deaf brother. He was born deaf and had some hearing growing up, until he became profoundly deaf at age 13. He started performing at 16 at a Deaf club and has now been performing for over 40 years. His method for creating translated signed songs is very specific. He uses elements from British Sign Language (BSL) poetry, such as producing signs with the same handshape during a whole verse, and making use of particular rhythmic techniques. Furthermore, he changes the original lyrics of mainstream songs in order to tell stories about the experiences of Deaf people, which pleases Deaf audiences and informs hearing spectators on Deaf culture.
