    Kontribusi Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan dalam Setting Pendidikan

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kontribusi motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan (karyawan yang dimaksud adalah guru). Sampel penelitian ini adalah 98 guru (laki-laki = 30,6%; perempuan = 69,4%), guru yang menjadi sampel penelitian berusia 25-58 tahun dengan lama pengabdian sebagai pendidik 1-20 Tahun masa kerja. Data motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan dikumpulkan melalui dua kuisioner, antara lain instrumen motivasi kerja yang dikembangkan dari toeri Vroom (1964) yang berjumlah 12 item dan instrumen kinerja karyawan yang dikembangkan dari toeri Bernardin & Russell (1988; karyawan di sini adalah guru) yang berjumlah 12 item. Data dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS dengan teknik regresi linier. Temuan pada penelitian ini adalah kontribusi motivasi kerja (X) signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y), dilihat dari sumbangan yang diberikan motivasi kerja 55.5% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Disamping itu,koefisien regresi bernilai positif, sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa kenaikan motivasi kerja menyebabkan peningkatan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, subvariabel motivasi kerja yaitu insentif lebih berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan sebesar 43,3%, semakin banyak insentif yang diterima guru membuat kinerja guru menjadi meningkat

    The use of social media is increasing every day, individuals who use social media will display the best profile photos, share their daily activities and physical appearance through photography on social media, it is all related to narcissistic tendencies. The purpose of this study was to describe the contribution of narcissism to social media addiction in adolescents. This study used 123 vocational students (56.9% male and 43.1% female) whose sampling technique was simple random sampling. The analytical technique used in this study is linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS Version 25 application. The results of the study show that there is a narcissistic contribution to social media addiction, narcissism has an effect of 53.9% on social media addiction in adolescents. Furthermore, the regression equation is Ŷ  = 23,430 + 0.482 X, meaning that narcissism has a positive effect on social media addiction

    Applying Genre – Based Approach to Teaching Descriptive Writing on Online Learning

    This study concerns the implementation of the Genre Based Approach (GBA) in teaching English as an approach to improve students’ writing skill, especially in Descriptive writing in online learning. Therefore, this study was offered to analyze the teacher’s way in applying the GBA in teaching writing of a Descriptive Text in online learning and to find out whether the GBA can lead to students’ improvement in writing skill in online learning. The study employed a qualitative research design, embracing characteristic of a case study. The data were obtained from thirty six students of social classes of MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong. The data was conducted by classroom observation, interview, and collection of students’ texts which were analyzed using Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Despite some limitations, the findings revealed that the teacher succeeded in applying the GBA based on the stages suggested by the GBA theorists and improving students’ writing skill. The students learned to write at greater length, with a clear schematic structure and appropriate linguistic features, indicating students’ improvement in constructing the text organization. Linguistically the text produced by the students were much better than their previous writing. For practical purposes, it is recommended that English teachers apply the GBA in variety of contents especially in writing class. It is also suggested that further research be run in larger classes with other text types in order to get more comprehensive picture of the implementation of the GBA in teaching writing

    Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Keaktifan Berdiskusi Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai keaktifan berdiskusi siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning di SMK Yamas Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas XI SMK Yamas Jakarta Timur berjumlah 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang dipilih adalah analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keaktifan berdiskusi siswa kelas XI pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Peningkatan keaktifan berdiskusi siswa dapat dilihat melalui hasil kuesioner dan hasil ulangan harian. Rata-rata nilai persentase capaian setiap indikator dari kuesioner keaktifan berdiskusi siswa sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning adalah 64.44% dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning adalah 83%

So that the learning was initially carried out directly and face-to-face in the classroom is transformed into online or online learning. This is also in accordance with the Minister of Education and Culture's regulation stipulated by the Indonesian minister of education that to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, learning is transferred to online learning or online at home. At SMA Putra Bangsa Depok also applies online learning methods by utilizing various online applications, such as Whats App Video Call, Whatsapp Group, Google Form, and Voice Note in English subjects. the Whatsapp application is considered as the most suitable to apply online learning at SMA Putra Bangsa Depok is the most widely used by teachers because this application is familiar to students and teachers, so it is easier to apply.     Penguasaan Kosakata Memiliki Pengaruh Terhadap Kemampuan Berbicara Bahasa Inggris Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penguasaan Kosakata dengan Kemampuan Berbicara Bahasa Inggris melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 40 siswa kelas XI MA Dwi Bahasa Al-Ittihad Depok yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar bahasa Inggris bentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 soal. Hasil pengujian linearitas diperoleh dengan F(0,05)(14,24) = 2,35 kemudian nilai Fhitung 1,09 dan Ftabel 2,35 yang menunjukkan bahwa model regresi berpola linear. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan yaitu terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara penguasaan kosakata dengan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan thitung (16,47) > ttabel (0,313). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berguna dalam memberikan masukan bagi guru bahasa Inggris dalam memilih pembelajaran yang tepat dan efesien

    Investigating Students Anxiety in Speaking English as Second Language

    The purpose of this study was to increase students' confidence in speaking English in daily. Students lack confidence in speaking English because they know little about vocabulary, are afraid of wrong pronunciation, and are afraid of making the wrong word structure. In this study, there were 30 journals that had been viewed and analyzed using the literature review method. Solutions to reduce students' anxiety in speaking English are watching English films, using English internet sites, practicing reading English books, doing more presentations, and much more. The results in this study, the majority of students (63.21%) revealed that they never feel confident about themselves when speaking English. In addition, 42.2% were very worried about making mistakes while speaking. This is because there are still many students who are afraid if they make a lot of mistakes in speaking, students feel that their English is not fluent in speaking without preparation, some students do not have a large collection of vocabulary, even social factors seem to be the most significant factor affecting students' speaking anxiety. It is hoped that in the future, students will be more courageous and confident in speaking English wherever they are

    Meningkatkan Partisipasi Siswa pada Pertemuan Daring Melalui Penugasan Presentasi Kelompok Mandiri

    Rendahnya minat siswa untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam pertemuan daring di masa pandemi Covid-19 memicu guru untuk menciptakan metode yang lebih menarik minat siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi metode penugasan presentasi kelompok mandiri untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam pertemuan daring. Penelitian berfokus pada siswa kelas XI IPA 7 SMAN 2 Majalaya tahun pelajaran 2020-2021. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus; penugasan presentasi kelompok mandiri memberi kesempatan pada siswa untuk ikut terlibat aktif dalam mengelola pertemuan daringnya, menyiapkan materi dan memberikan latihan serta menyajikannya untuk teman sekelas lainnya yang hadir. Pada siklus pertama ini, peningkatan partisipasi siswa menunjukkan peningkatan walaupun belum maksimal. Pada siklus kedua, selain masih tetap menerapkan metode penugasan kelompok mandiri, guru juga memberikan penghargaan (poin) bagi siswa yang hadir dalam pertemuan daring. Dari dua siklus penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa partisipasi siswa meningkat baik dengan metode penugasan kelompok mandiri dengan tetap menyertakan penghargaan bagi siswa yang hadir di pertemuan daring. Pembelajaran daring memerlukan variasi metode yang membuat siswa tetap tertarik dan tidak merasa bosan dalam proses pembelajaran

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode role play terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa kelas XI SMAN 13 Depok melalui media video telepon WhatsApp selama pandemi covid-19. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Sample dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas XI di SMAN 13 Depok. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode role play terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa kelas XI di SMAN 13 Depok melalui media video telepon WhatsApp yaitu efektif. Hal ini didukung dari hasil yang didapat bahwa sebanyak 60% kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris siswa menjadi lebih lancar dan  juga manfaat yang diperoleh para siswa yaitu mereka menjadi lebih percaya diri dan termotivasi untuk belajar bahasa Inggris

    Writing Anxiety in EFL and How to Improve The Writting Skill

    Writing is one of important skill in English, by mastering writing skill students can comunicate and  express their opinions or ideas to other. However, One of the obstacles in writing is  Writing anxiety. Writing anxiety is also often experienced by students, especially when learning to write a second language or English. Therefore, this study aimed to investigates the type of anxiety, the solution to overcome writing anxiety in EFL and the ways to develop writing skill in EFL. This study employed siystematic review method which is made in a systematic and planned manner. It was found that the cognitive and somatic anxiety were the common type of anxiety faced by EFL students ( n =11). Giving positive feedback and making a group work were an effective and easy ways to overcome the writing anxiety of EFL ( n =4) . In addition, this study also found the effective ways to improve EFL writing skill by using three dimension : accuracy, complexity and fluently (n =2). Teacher plays important role during writing in the classroom. If teacher can maximize their role to create enjoy class, give positive feedback to the students and apply three dimension method, it helps students to reduce writing anxiety and improved their writing skill which is beneficial in their future life
