The Overlooked Risk Behaviors of Hepatitis B Virus among Medical and Nonmedical Undergraduate Students
Hepatitis B is the liver tissue inflammation that caused by a viral infection. It causes chronic disease and can be fatal due to cirrhosis and liver cancer. Overlooking the risk behaviors can significantly contribute to the spread of HBV. A cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the risk-behaviors prevalence of HBV among undergraduate students and to examine its association among medical and nonmedical undergraduates. A questionnaire was randomly distributed to 200 students at Tishk International University, Erbil, Iraq. Demographic and HBV risk-behavior data were collected and analyzed by Chi-square. Linear regression examined the relationship between medical, nonmedical, and HBV risk behaviors. The results revealed that the most common risk-behaviors for HBV among students were sharing nail cutters (79%), sharing razors (55.5%), body piercing (51%), and sharing toothbrushes (23%). However, those risk behaviors varied by gender. Unexpectedly, there was a significant association between some risk-behaviors for hepatitis B and medical students, particularly in pharmacy and nursing departments. Nonmedical students showed fewer risk behaviors than those in pharmacy and nursing departments. The behavioral risk incidence of pharmacy and nursing students was significant in sharing razors (p≤ 0.005) (p≤0.033) and sharing nail cutters (p≤0.000) (p≤0.000) respectively. This study concludes that the transmission of hepatitis B is most likely among undergraduate students due to the overlooked risk behaviors of HBV, and lack of knowledge or awareness. An awareness program is crucial particularly for those in the medical field who may have an impact on other people's lives. Additionally, vaccination against HBV infection is needed to control its transmission and reduce its spread

Background: To combat the excess production of free radicals in periodontal disease, antioxidant medications are employed. Free
radicals (FRs) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) are the major contaminants that Co-Q10 primarily effectively removes in order to
perform its intercellular antioxidant function, this study is aimed to:
1. Analyze the results of using perio Q gel (coenzyme Q10) intravenously only.
2. As an additional step in the treatment of patients with chronic periodontitis in conjunction to scaling and root planning on the
periodontal clinical criteria.
3. Examine which of the various treatment modalities improved clinical periodontal markers more at 3 and 6 weeks.
Materials and Methods: Clinical periodontal markers like the Plaque Index (PI), Gingival Index (GI), Bleeding on Probing (BOP),
Probing Pocket Depth (PPD), and Relative Attachment Level (RAL) were evaluated at the first visit, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks.
Results: When compared to the SRP group, the clinical parameters PPD and RAL of the combination group significantly decreased,
according to intergroup analysis.
In all groups, the reduction in PI, GI, BOP, PPD, and RAL across the three visits was highly significant when intra-group analysis
was performed.
Conclusion: By using the gel in addition to scaling and root planning rather than only scaling and root planning alone, the clinical
periodontal parameters improved more significantly.
The ability to employ the gel as the only substance to support common periodontitis treatment methods. In the periodontal
treatment phase, the clinical metrics considerably improved, showing that CoQ10 expands treatment possibilities by enhancing the
host response to disease activity.

Exact solutions of κ-dependent Schrödinger equation with quantum pseudo-harmonic oscillator and its applications for the thermodynamic properties in normal and superstatistics
The effects of the curvature parameters on the energy eigenvalues and thermodynamic properties of quantum pseudoharmonic oscillator are investigated within the framework of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. By employing Nikiforov-Uvarov method, the energy spectra are obtained and used to study the ordinary statistics and q-deformed superstatistics as a function of temperature in the presence and absence of the curvature parameters. It is shown that the q-deformed supertatistics properties of the quantum pseudoharmonic oscillator reduce to the ordinary statistical properties in the absence of the deformation parameter. Finally, our results are illustrated graphically to show the behaviour of the energy spectra and thermodynamic properties for the three curvature parameters:κ=−1,κ=1andκ=0
Crude extract of Ficus deltoidea Jack (FD) as a natural biological therapy
Aim: This study shows how important it is to coordinate research on Ficus deltoidea Jack (FD) so that results from different sources can be compared directly and a scientific conclusion can be made.
Methods: The author looked for research papers on Ficus (F.) deltoidea on Google Scholar, Science Direct, Google.com, Wiley, PubMed, Hindawi, Springer, and other related databases. This analysis excludes data that cannot be trusted, thesis papers, and review articles about F. deltoidea.
Results: In traditional medicine, the plant’s leaves and syconia are used to cure a wide variety of ailments, including itchiness, diarrhoea, cancer, sexual dysfunction, age-related issues, malaria, cancer, anxiety, pain, constipation, fever, diabetes, tooth pain, and tooth decay. In vitro and in vivo studies showed the effectiveness of the leaves against cancer cell lines.
Conclusions: Based on the existing research on the health benefits of FD, it is critical to focus on its more active constituents and their identification, determination, further development, and, most importantly, standardization of the leaves for the management and treatment of cancer and its related cases. More research is needed before it can be considered a promising herbal source of novel medication candidates for treating various disorders
A review on the role of LINC00472 in malignant and non-malignant disorders
Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 472 (LINC00472) has been shown to regulate diverse cellular functions and contribute to the etiology of human disorders. LINC00472 gene is located on 6q13 and has different alternatively spliced transcripts. Expression pattern and function of LINC00472 have been evaluated in different types of cancers and some other disorders, including atherosclerosis, sepsis-induced acute hepatic injury, atrial fibrillation, neuropathic pain, primary biliary cholangitis and sepsis-induced cardiac dysfunction. This lincRNA can serve as a sponge for miR-24–3p, miR-196b-5p, miR‐23a‐3p, miR-93–5p, miR-4311, miR-455–3p and a number of other miRNAs. LINC00472 is able to regulate several pathways, including MEK/ERK, NF-kB, PTEN/PI3K/AKT, and STAT3 signaling pathways. This raises some concerning aspects that need to be investigated further and clarified in relation to diseases. Increasing our understanding of LINC00472's crucial roles will open new doors for creating effective therapeutic approaches against cancer and related diseases. The current study aims at providing an overview of functions of LINC00472 in malignant and non-malignant disorders
The Importance of Becoming Tamed: Wild Food Plants as Possible Novel Crops in Selected Food-Insecure Regions
Domestication of new plants is one of the key (ongoing) phenomena in the history of agriculture. Wild plants are the ancestors of current and future crops and the largest reservoir of genetic diversity for crop breeding and improvement. Wild food species have been used for human nutrition since ancient times and are often the object of human strategies for coping with emergency situations, such as natural disasters and conflicts. We analyzed qualitative data collected through ethnobotanical field studies conducted in recent years in five selected Eurasian regions (Afghanistan, Kurdistan region of Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, and Ukraine) that have been recently affected by wars and/or socio-political turbulence. Data were collected through participant observation and semi-structured interviews with local people. We identified five taxa for each region, which are culturally very salient in the local food systems, that retain an important economic value in local markets, and that, therefore, could be good candidates for becoming novel crops. The cultivation of the reported species may significantly help local communities in their post-war livelihoods and especially in terms of food security and domestic nutritional care. Future studies should focus on the agronomic feasibility of the highlighted species within their regional ecosystems
Assessment of Minor Disorders among Pregnant Women Attending Malafandi Primary Health Care Centre/Erbil-City
Minor disorder are the discomforts as associated with the pregnancy such as nausea, vomiting, backache, heart burn, constipation, varicose vein, haemorrhoids, frequency of urination, fatigue, and leg cramps. Many women experience some minor disorder during pregnancy; these discomforts should be adequately as they may occur due to hormonal changes and postural changes. The aim of this study was to assess the minor disorder among pregnant women. A descriptive study was conducted in Malafandi Primary Health Care Centre, in December 2020 to January 2021, one hundred pregnant were taken and the data were collected by direct interview. The highest percentage of them within age group between 25–34 years old, graduated from high school with middle economic status. All of them had minor disorders as nausea and vomiting, backache, heart burn, leg cramps, varicose vein, haemorrhoids, fatigue, frequency of urination, constipation, and loss of appetite. There is a statistical significant association between age group with nausea and vomiting, and haemorrhoids (P- value ≤ 0.001 and 0.002 respectively). The findings of this study indicated that most common minor disorder in pregnancy came from fatigue while the lowest came from constipation
In-Vitro Antioxidant Activity of Avocado Fruit Oil in Erbil, Kurdistan Region
Many human diseases are linked to the accumulation of free radicals. Antioxidants can scavenge free radicals, lessening their impact. As a result, searching for naturally occurring antioxidants in plants is critical. This research aimed to investigate avocado’s antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties (Persea Americana Mill). Several standard methods for determining antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity were applied, including a spectrophotometer. Avocado fruit oil (AFO) has the highest overall antioxidant capacity, followed by Avocado seed oil (ASO). Based on ABTS and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, IC50 values of 62.99 ug/ml and 50.68 ug/ml, respectively. According to these results, the AFO had a more active radical scavenging system than the ASO. AFO showed the strongest inhibitory activity in the lipid peroxidation inhibition experiment, with an IC50 of 318.8 ug/ml; however, ASO’s lipid peroxidation is 315.2 ug/ml, which is extremely similar to the IC50 of value for AFO. The nitric oxide radical scavenging activity and reduced glutathione assays were also in the AFO>ASO order. A positive correlation (p<0.001) was found between free radical scavenging efficiency and lipid peroxidation inhibition activities. Avocado fruit oil contains natural antioxidants and can serve as a free radical scavenger or inhibitor. As a result, Avocado may be a beneficial oil-based treatment for various illnesses caused by free radicals
A Literature Review of Publications Trends to Shape Memory Alloys by Using Bibliometric Analysis
Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) have been at the lead of research for the past several decades. Shape memory alloys have a variety of applications and are used in many areas. That is why other fields are interested in investigating and researching this area of study. For example, actuators and other responsive devices are products of SME studies applied in medicine, aerospace, fashion, and many other fields. To study the general development of SMA, we reviewed the annual SMA publications, citations, the most active researcher, the core journals publishing SMA investigations, and the most productive countries are all studies in this research using bibliography analyzes. This study will map the progression and highlight the most cited studies, a few of the best review articles, and the most used keyword in the publications are also considered more than fifty years (1971-2021), showing the scientific productivity in the SMA. This will help starter researchers in the SMA area of study by; to begin with, and it’s essential to understand how SMA research and conclusions have progressed through time. Furthermore, introduce active researchers/institutes and opens a way for collaborations. This study will also help the decision-makers in the industry to take advantage of the progression in SMA as it is applied in many areas
Application of Lagrange Interpolation Method to Solve First-Order Differential Equation Using Newton Interpolation Approach
One of the important problems in mathematics is finding the analytic solution and numerical solution of the differential equation using various methods and techniques. Most of the researchers tackled different numerical approaches to solve ordinary differential equations. These methods such as the Runge Kutta method, Euler’s method, and Taylor’s polynomial method have so many issues like difficulties in finding the solution that can lead to singularities or no solution. In this work, we considered Newton’s interpolation and Lagrange’s interpolation polynomial method (LIPM). These studies combine both Newton’s interpolation method and Lagrange method (NIPM) to solve first-order differential equations. The results obtained provide minimum approximative error. The result is supported by solving an example
