Grammatical Error Analysis of College Students’ Essay of the University of Saint Anthony
Get PDFWriting proficiency is a fundamental language skill crucial for ESL students. To achieve this, they should acquaint themselves with the fundamentals of grammar to produce well-written essays. The grammatical accuracy of written compositions contribute to the comprehensibility of the ideas presented by students. Therefore, language teachers are expected to teach and provide them with sufficient lessons and exercises related to writing. This study aimed to identify and analyze the committed grammatical errors of students in their essays. Fifteen essays from students enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Saint Anthony were the focus of this study. The research methods employed in this study are quantitative and qualitative research methods. To identify the grammatical errors committed by the students, error analysis was employed. The results revealed that the top errors identified in the essays were related to capitalization, punctuation, word selection, verbs, pronouns, and sentence structure while the common characteristics of the errors made by the students were omission and misformation. The approach used in this study is a multidisciplinary approach, namely normative theological approach, pedagogical approach and sociological approach. As for the presentation of data for the tabulation of questionnaires, the data in the form of tables were statistically tested. Diligent worship makes them always have a strong spirit of learning. Because their brains are always fresh and clear by reading the Qur'an and praying in congregation or establishing a good relationship with Allah SWT. Desa Kertosari masih mengandalkan sistem administrasi manual dengan pencatatan di buku besar dan dokumen kertas. Ini sering kali menyebabkan ketidakrapian dalam pengarsipan dan kesulitan dalam mencari data. Meskipun desa ini mulai menggunakan komputer, tetapi belum secara optimal memanfaatkan perangkat lunak tersebut. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan aparat desa dalam manajemen administrasi dan dokumentasi dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan yang komprehensif. Diharapkan dengan adanya peningkatan kompetensi ini, aparat desa dapat: mengelola administrasi desa dengan lebih baik,meningkatkan akurasi dan kelengkapan dokumentasi kegiatan desa,memastikan transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam pelaksanaan program desa Kegiatan pelatihan ini termasuk kedalam penelitian kualitatif. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan kepada pihak-pihak terkait agar kegiatan yang dilaksanakan mencapai tujuan dan tepat sasaran. Setelah itu dilakukan pendampingan secara intensif kepada aparat Desa Kertosari .Dari hasil kegiatan dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah aparat desa mendapatkan pendampingan secara intensif, mereka termotivasi untuk melakukan pekerjaan di Desa Kertosari dengan baik sesuai dengan materi yang disampaikan dalam pendampingan.Mereka juga termotivasi untuk melakksanakan pelayanan public dengan lebih baik
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH KEBUDAYAAN ISLAM DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh model pembelajaran yang monoton di mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam, siswa kurang aktif dalam kegiatan pembalajaran sehingga membuat hasil belajar siswa masih rendah atau belum mencapai KKM yang ditetapkan. Adapun yang menjadi rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah:“Apakah Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Inside Outside Circle Dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VII Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam Di MTs Yapenbaya Kecamatan Katibung Lampung Selatan� Penerapan metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan dengan 2 siklus, siklus pertama 2 kali pertemuan siklus kedua 1 kali pertemuan. setiap siklusnya terdapat 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII B MTs Yapenbaya berjumlah 26 siswa Berdasarkan analisis, hasil tes dan observasi yang sudah dilakukan peneliti diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kegiatan belajar dan aktivitas siswa sehingga hasil belajar siswa meningkat pada setiap siklusnya. Hasil nilai ratarata pada pra siklus 65,42 dengan persentase ketuntasan 27%. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata menjadi 70,38 dengan persentase ketuntasan 62%. Pada siklus II meningkat lagi dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 73,03 dengan persentase ketuntasan 85%. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Inside Outside Circel dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam di MTs Yapenbaya Kecamatan Katibung Lampung Selatan
IMPLEMENTATION OF DEPOSIT AND NON-DEPOSIT SYSTEMS IN AQUACULTURE: AN ISLAMIC ECONOMICS PERSPECTIVE
Get PDFThis study aims to examine how the practice of determining the selling price of shrimp feed between deposit and non-deposit aquaculturist at BUMKAM, and to evaluate these price differences from the perspective of Islamic Economic Law. This research is field research that uses primary and secondary data sources. The methods used to collect data include observation, interviews, and documentation, which are then analyzed qualitatively with an inductive approach. The results of the study show that there is a price difference in the buying and selling practices between deposit and non-deposit aquaculturists, where deposit aquaculturists receive a 5% discount under certain conditions. These transactions are conducted based on mutual agreement and willingness between both parties. The agreements between deposit aquaculturists and BUMKAM are made orally because it is considered more practical and faster. The instability of stock is not caused by the discount or hoarding of goods, but rather due to a decrease in supply from distributors which is beyond BUMKAM's control. From the perspective of Islamic Economic Law, this buying and selling practice is considered legitimate. The discount provided does not contain elements of tadlis (fraud), najasy (false bidding), or gharar (excessive uncertainty). The pricing is in accordance with Islamic pricing principles, meeting the necessary conditions to produce a fair price. The transactions conducted do not contradict Sharia, and all conditions and requirements are met. The transactions are carried out with the mutual consent of the aquaculturists and BUMKAM, without any element of coercion
AN ILLOCUTIONARY ACTS ANALYSIS OF OLIVIA RODRIGO’S SPEECH AT BILLBOARD’S WOMEN IN MUSIC AWARD
Get PDFBased on John Searle's concept of speech acts, this study examines one of three critical components of Speech Act: Illocutionary, which occurs in Olivia Rodrigo's Speech at Billboard's Women in Music Awards. The study aims to determine the various Illocutionary Acts that Rodrigo Employs, as well as the dominant Illocutionary acts. The study is based on the video of Olivia Rodrigo's Speech at Billboard's Women in Music Awards from YouTube. This video was published on March 4th, 2022. The data is collected from Illocutionary acts in Rodrigo's speech, watched on YouTube, and read from a written transcript in the YouTube subtitle. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to clarify the data deeply. The topic of study is the phenomena of Illocutionary acts in verbal communication or spoken language. The results revealed that 15 Illocutionary acts occur in Olivia Rodrigo's speech, and the most common one is expressive acts.Â

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on various community activities, including public sector service activities. The high number of Covid-19 cases in Lampung Province had even resulted in almost all regencies and cities simultaneously being included in the red zone category, however the COVID-19 pandemic did not reduce the urgency of the need for high population administration and civil registration services, so that the implementation of e-government is a way of life. provide excellent service during the covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to see how the implementation of e-government in realizing excellent service during the covid-19 pandemic. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative where data and information are obtained through interviews, observations and documentation, so as to provide a direct description of the research results. Based on the research results, the implementation of e-government at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Metro City has reached the second stage, namely interaction. This is based on the ability to represent the stages of web presence and interaction by aligning the concept of excellent service with the fulfillment of aspects of attitude, attention, action, ability, appearance, and responsibility. Meanwhile, at the transaction and transformation stage as a benchmark for the implementation of e-government, it has not been implemented comprehensively if it is associated with aspects of excellent service

Get PDFThis study aims to examine and analyze the village government's strategy in improving the quality of youth through culture in Tambah Asri Village, Tugumulyo District, Musi Rawas Regency. The focus of this study is based on the theory put forward by Bintoro Tjokroamidjojo (2017), namely: Determination of objectives, Policy formulation and Operationalization.The study uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interview and documentation. The types of data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Using data analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The informants of this study consisted of village officials, art team coaches and art youth.The results of this study indicate that formulating goal determination must take into account strengths such as direction, motivation that arouses and profitable opportunities and also weaknesses such as challenges and risks. The village government sets a routine practice schedule and participates in art events to support the creativity of village youth in improving the quality of youth to be more responsive to things that smell of art in order to preserve Indonesian culture. The village government sets a vision and mission that becomes a reference for the youth arts team to improve and develop culture among the community. The youth arts always appear at important village events such as the commemoration of August 17, welcoming guests and earth alms. The village government acts as a supporting factor that is willing to provide facilities and infrastructure for the arts team. FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI PENGUNGKAPAN DIRI REMAJA DI MEDIA SOSIAL
Get PDFPenggunaan media sosial telah menjadi hal yang normatif di berbagai kalangan, termasuk remaja. Salah satu kegiatan yang kerap dilakukan remaja di media sosial adalah melakukan pengungkapan diri. Pada dasarnya, pengungkapan diri merupakan keterampilan penting yang perlu dimiliki oleh remaja, namun tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa melakukan pengungkapan diri di media sosial berpotensi menimbulkan sejumlah risiko. Remaja diharapkan dapat melakukan pengungkapan diri dengan bijak saat bersosial media. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pengungkapan diri remaja di media sosial. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah literature review. Sumber literatur diakses menggunakan database Google Scholar dan SpringerLink dengan tahun penerbitan artikel antara tahun 2019-2023. Berdasarkan telaah literatur terhadap 9 artikel, diperoleh sejumlah faktor yang memengaruhi pengungkapan diri remaja di media sosial, yakni faktor personal (status pubertas, status identitas diri, kepribadian ekstraversi, harga diri, kontrol diri, dan persepsi risiko privasi); faktor interpersonal (intimasi pertemanan, kepercayaan, dan kenyamanan pemeliharaan hubungan); faktor motivasional (tujuan sosial dan motif afiliasi); dan faktor afektif (kecerdasan emosional dan kesepian)
