Hope and Imagination : Ecumenical Aspirations for Overcoming Violence
This article highlights the imperative of building defences of peace in the human mind, articulated in the Constitution of UNESCO. Pursuing the question of how such defences can be built in contexts of religious antagonism, the article explores the work of ecumenical theologians who seek to find ways of building defences of peace in the minds of believers. The exploration involves intersecting ecumenical theology with the fields of religious education, cognitive science, and peace studies. In this way, the article brings introductory perspectives to interdisciplinary research that considers pressing questions of how to overcome violence and build peaceful communities. Throughout the investigation, hope and imagination serve as guiding concepts. Hope is discussed with regard to memory, change of perceptions, and the building of trust and peace. However, the article also considers the tendency towards constructing imagined enemies. Elucidating how empathetic imagination can provide resistance to this tendency, it discusses the way dialogue might break destructive habits of imagining the religious other as an enemy. With a view to this capacity of dialogue, the article considers the role of longstanding endeavours of ecumenical exchange in processes towards overcoming violence and constructing defences of peace in human minds
Incarnational Epistemology : A transformative christology as power critical theology in dialogue withTheodor Adorno and Gloria Anzaldúa
Christ can be understood as a mirror, connecting humanity and God in his image into a hybrid entity, without eliminating the difference. The complex reality is mirrored through Christ transcending the border between subjectivity and objectivity, human and God, ourselves and others. This study is a form of constructive theology that aims to construct a transformative christological conceptual model, which can contribute to theology as a power critical epistemological deconstruction. It does this through the method of critical and comparative text analysis. The study consists of two main sections, analysis and the discussion. The analysis section seeks to develop a theoretical frame, in which to generate a conversation between critical theorists Theodor Adorno and Gloria Anzaldúa on their view on epistemological oppression and liberation. The result is the development of an analytical concept called dialectics of the borders that exposes epistemological oppression as understood through the critical terms of oppression of objectivism and the suppressed gap. As an answer to the dialectics of border the analysis section develops the phrase dialectics of the gap, as an expression of epistemological liberation, which relies on such concepts as the shape of the gap, epistemological deconstruction, the hybrid entity, and transformative hybridity. The discussion section applies this theoretical frame to various christological concepts in order to create a new useful conceptual model. The constructed conceptual model is called incarnational epistemology and expresses an empowering critical epistemological reconstruction in Christ. The cross is understood as the explicit border between God and humanity, which is expressed by man's colonialization of dialectics. In Christ God transcends these epistemological borders and embodies the gap, as an expression for dialectics of the gap. For example it is demonstrated with the understanding of the body of Christ as the hybridization between subjectivity and objectivity and the sanctification as a reversed incarnation by the collective reconstruction of Christ in the border between subjectivity and objectivity. Hence, humanity as the body of Christ through sanctification can be understood as the mirrored image of Christ incarnating this epistemological reconstruction.

Utvalda verser av Första och Andra Samuelsboken som berättar om David och Jonatans respektive känslouttryck för varandra studeras queerteologiskt och queerteoretiskt med hjälp av affektteori och den narrativa metoden “intern fokalisering”. Normativa relationsformer i den hebreiska bibeln utläggs och förs i dialog med queerteologisk forskning varav en detaljanalys av verserna följer som resulterar i en analys av varför denna relationsform kan tolkas som queer och unik för den hebreiska bibeln.
Exploring the Challenges Encountered by Individuals with Disabilities in Accessing Education in Nepal
This thesis explores the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing education in Nepal. Grounded in a theoretical framework that integrates definitions, concepts, and policies related to disability rights and inclusive education, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the barriers to educational inclusion. Drawing on a review of international literature, the research examines global perspectives on disability rights and inclusive education, contextualising them within the Nepalese context. Through qualitative research methods such as interviews, focus groups, and document analysis, the study investigates the lived experiences of individuals with disabilities and identifies systemic issues hindering educational access. The findings reveal significant challenges related to poverty, societal attitudes, infrastructural limitations, and policy implementation. By analysing these findings, the study offers insights into effective strategies for promoting educational inclusion and advancing disability rights in Nepal. The research contributes to the existing body of knowledge on inclusive education and informs policy and practice aimed at improving educational opportunities for individuals with disabilities
Unpacking the Severity of Hate Speech in the Ethiopian Civil War (November 2020–November 2022) : Analysing its Role in Escalating the War and Inciting Human Rights Violations
Ethiopia has experienced a deadly two-year-long civil war, mainly between the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). During this civil war, in addition to lethal weaponry like drones, jets, missiles, and tanks, the combatant parties and their allies used hate speech as a weapon of war. The aim of this research is to unpack the severity of hate speech disseminated during the civil war and identify its major types that could have contributed to the escalation of the war and the incitement of human rights violations. To achieve this aim, the research used the qualitative content analysis method to analyse data gathered from hate speech broadcasts during the civil war. Furthermore, it applied the propaganda model, framing theory, social identity theory, ARTICLE 19's hate speech pyramid, and the Rabat Plan of Action’s six-part threshold test theoretical and analytical frameworks to analyse the data and discuss its major findings. The research found that the most severe types of hate speech, which aimed to incite genocide, discrimination, hostility, or violence, as well as racial hatred, were disseminated during the civil war. Moreover, it revealed violations of international and Ethiopian laws regulating hate speech. Based on the analysis of empirical data, it is concluded that severe types of hate speech disseminated during the civil war had the potential to escalate the war and incite documented human rights violations
Kriminella nätverkets påverkning på Barn & unga samt dess överträdelser av Barnkonventionen : En kvalitativ undersökning av BRÅ:s studie rapport om barn och unga i kriminella nätverk
This paper constitutes an in-depths examinations of the swedish national council for crime prevention's (BRÅ) report titled "children and youth in criminal networks" with a particular focus on two primary aspects. Firstly i delve into the implications of article 6 of the convention on the rights of the child within the context of the report, despite its absence in explicit form. Through a contextual interpretation, I illuminate how the report inderectly considers and reflects upon children's fundemental rights to life. liberty, and development, aligning with the essence of the convention. Subsecuently, I analyze the identified factors in the report that propel young individuals into criminal networks. Grounded in theoretical frameworks and perspectives, my analysis aims to deepen the understanding of the complexety of these factors and their impact. Through this study, I shed light on the depth of the report and pave the way for a more comprehensive discussion on children's rights and the underlying mechanism behind youth involvment in criminal contexts.

Atonement and an undying hope : Doctrines of Atonement in Swedish Lent and Easter Psalms
The essay is written within systematic theology with the aim of investigating which atonement theology and thus image of God that meets the congregations in Lent and Easter hymns in the Church of Sweden, and if the theology of atonement differs between these two groups of hymns. The purpose of the hymns is to express theology through song and shows what theology the Church of Sweden stands for. The essay therefore aims to investigate which view of reconciliation ten hymns from The Swedish Hymnal represent, because the hymnal is one of the priest's most important work tools and reconciliation is central to Christianity. The essay also aims to investigate whether the selected hymns bear any traces of Jürgen Moltmann's theology as it appears in his work 3 Theology of Hope. The question is whether the selected Lenten and Easter hymns contain any doctrines of reconciliation and, if so, which of the three major doctrines of reconciliation that Gustaf Aulén describes in The Christian Thought of Reconciliation, and if so how are these expressed?The question also includes in what way Jürgen Moltmann's theology of the eschatological hope for change in this life expresses itself in the hymns? The answer that emerges in the essay is that all the selected hymns contain a doctrine of reconciliation and that the Christus Victor Theory of Atonement is the most common. Especially in the Easter hymns it completely dominates. The Satisfaction Theory of Atonement does not appear at all in the selected Easter hymns. It is very common for several doctrines of atonement to appear in the same hymn. There is no difference in how the doctrines of atonement appear in the various denominations. Jürgen Moltmann's theology appears in just over half of the hymns, most of which are Easter hymns, which is not unexpected since hope is an obvious consequence of the resurrection. It also appears in all three doctrines of atonement.
