Łukasiewicz anti fuzzy subalgebras of BCK/BCI-algebras
The subalgebra of BCK/BCI-algebra using Łukasiewicz anti fuzzy set
introduced by Jun is studied in this article. The concept of Łukasiewicz anti
fuzzy subalgebra of a BCK/BCI-algebra is introduced, and several properties are
investigated. The relationship between anti fuzzy subalgebra and Łukasiewicz anti
fuzzy subalgebra is given, and characterization of a Łukasiewicz anti fuzzy subalgebra
is discussed. Conditions are found in which a Lukasiewicz anti fuzzy set is a
Lukasiewicz anti fuzzy subalgebra Finally, conditions under which ⋖-subset, Υsubset, and anti-subset become subalgebra are explored

Photoelectrochemical conversion of biomass alcohols using in-situ Sn-doped ▫▫ thin films
Transformation of biomass into value-added chemicals and fuels is considered an upcycling process that is beneficial to resource utilization. In this study, we used a photoelectrochemical (PEC) approach for selective oxidation of propane-1,2,3-triol to dihydroxyacetone (DHA) with high efficiency and selectivity (99%) using Sn-doped -Fe2O3 (Sn:-Fe2O3) thin films with intrinsic oxygen vacancies (OVs). DHA is an essential compound utilized in the cosmetic industry. In a similar manner, we conducted the first study of the PEC oxidation of 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzyl alcohol under visible light. A kinetic model has been formulated and solved to find the time-dependent generation of the products. Electrochemical impedance analyses and PEC experiments demonstrated a correlation between the concentration of molecules and the catalytic performance of Sn:-Fe2O3. Studies using scavengers indicate that the photogenerated holes (h+), singlet oxygen (1O2), hydroxyl radicals (•OH), and superoxide radicals (•O2–) play key roles in achieving high PEC activity. This work provided a new perspective on designing efficient PEC systems for biomass conversion into energy and value-added chemicals
Interpretation of numerals under memory load by Vietnamese speakers
Numerals show an ambiguity between a weak, ‘at least’ meaning and a strong, ‘exactly’ meaning. The Gricean approach takes the weak meaning to be basic and derives the strong meaning as implicature, thus assimilates numerals to other scalar items. The Fregean approach, in contrast, takes the strong meaning of numerals to be basic and derives the weak meaning via type shifting operations. This paper gives a brief summary of these two approaches, followed by a report on a dual-task experiment which is designed to test how Vietnamese speakers interpret numerals under different memory loads. The goal of this experiment is to replicate the results of Marty et al. (2013) which can be interpreted as supporting the Fregean approach. It turns out that this goal could not be achieved, and we give some speculations as to why it was not
Colloidal metal nanoparticles as a source for the growth of thin films
Synthesis of colloidal nanoparticles (NPs) which offer good colloidal stability is quite important for different applications like spin-coating, dip-coating etc. Having metallic nanoparticles in the form of stable suspension allow the generation of thin films with desired thicknesses. We will present the production of different classes of materials starting from colloidal metal NPs. An example will be given on the preparation of Fe2O3 and WO3 thin films which are used in photoelectrochemical oxidation of water (e.g. water splitting). Another transformation which involves metallic NPs include the preparation of MoSe2 and WSe2 thin films which is achieved in a tube furnace at elevated temperatures. Very recently, the use of metallic NPs were also extended for the preparation of transition metal carbides. We managed to produce W2C and WC phases starting from metallic W NPs. The details of this phase conversion will be discussed. The presentation will provide details on how transition metallic NPs can be used to prepare metal oxide, metal selenide and metal carbides
