    ANALYZING TEMPEARTURE ANOMALIES IN MONITORING DATA USING CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK

    Temperature is a tool that shows the degree or measure of how hot or cold an object is. Incorrect temperature measurement can be fatal and cause various problems. Abnormal temperatures can prevent the temperature detection system from running optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to classify temperatures into normal and anomalous. Machine learning can be used as an alternative for temperature classification. By utilizing machine learning methods, one of which is Convolutional Neural Network. 3688569 temperature data were tested, dividing the results into 80% training data and 20% testing data. Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1 Score get a score of 100% and the CNN model graph is very good

    Rendahnya keterampilan literasi sains siswa disebabkan oleh beberapa bahan ajar yang belum mampu memfasilitasi kompetensi-kompetensi yang ada pada aspek literasi sains. Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini dilakukan agar menghasilkan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis Nearpod dalam pembelajaran IPA materi pemanasan global yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Peneliti mengembangkan penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) dengan model ADDIE. Teknik perolehan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli media dan materi, angket respon peserta didik, dan hasil tes belajar melalui pretest dan postest. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini memperoleh validitas E-modul dengan skor 0,81 dalam kategori sangat valid melalui uji validitas Aiken’s V. Aspek kepraktisan memperoleh skor 87,44% dalam kategori sangat praktis melalui angket respon peserta didik, serta aspek keefektifan memperoleh skor 0,61 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku panduan lapang berbasis riset kenanekaragaman kupu-kupu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Mahasiswa biologi Universitas Negeri Medan. Desain penelitian ini akan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation and Evaluation). Buku yang akan dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah buku tambahan suplemen untuk matakuliah entomologi berbasis riset dengan spesifikasi isi mengenai serangga yaitu kupu- kupu di Desa Sulkam Kecamatan Kutambaru Langkat, dan di daerah perkotaan Medan. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket validasi serta hasil tes untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar Mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh tim ahli materi, skor rata-rata kelayakan isi Buku Mengenal Kupu-Kupu (Lepidoptera:Rhopalocera) di Taman Kota Medan dan Desa Sulkam adalah 96,34% (Sangat baik). Skor rata-rata kelayakan desain pembelajaran yang diperoleh dari ahli desain pembelajaran adalah 97,22% (Sangat baik). Skor rata-rata kelayakan desain layout yang diperoleh dariahli desain layout adalah 89,86% (Sangat baik). Kemudian nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai rata-rata posttest di kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Ketercapaian hasil belajar kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan buku yang dikembangkan lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang tidak diajarkan dengan buku yang dikembangkan

    This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of Phase A students of SDN Mojoruntut 3 Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency through the application of the Computational Thinking approach using BAWASING (Balok Warna-Warni Gampang Asik). The research subjects were Phase A students of SDN Mojoruntut 3 with a total of 15 students and the object of research was students' critical thinking skills. The research method used This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a survey method on Phase A students at SDN Mojoruntut 3 Kec.Krembung Kab.Sidoarjo with a total of 15 students. observation. The data or information collected in this study is in the form of qualitative data. The type of data used by researchers is the level of Computational Thinking of Phase A students using BAWAGASING (Easy Asik Color Blocks). The results showed that of the 15 students tested, it was stated that 7 students were in the very good category, 5 students were in the good category, there were 3 students in the sufficient category. In the application of BAWAGASING (Colorful Blocks Easy Asik) no students were found in the low and very low categories which means 0 students. The limitations in this study are that students are only tested in one material, namely the shape and color of the building space, researchers only conduct at a limited level and do not use the effectiveness test. For other researchers, it is expected to conduct tests with colorful blocks that cover a wider range of material, for example, on the formulas of space buildings and can be tested at a wider level by comparing various kinds of phase A students in many schools and conducting effectiveness tests using research software such as SPSS and so on

    RASCH MODEL ANALYSIS: DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS' NUMERACY LITERACY INTEREST INSTRUMENTS IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING

    The low interest of students in numerical literacy remains a concern, necessitating a specific instrument to measure this aspect. This study aims to develop and validate an instrument for measuring interest in numerical literacy using the Rasch Model. The research subjects consisted of 200 randomly selected high school students in Jakarta. Data were collected through an online questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale. The analysis showed that 12 out of 13 items were valid and reliable, with an item reliability value of 0.89 and a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.92. The distribution of item difficulty levels was even, ensuring the instrument could measure students' interest across various ability levels. One item did not fit the validity criteria and needs revision. Additionally, the Rasch Model provided in-depth insights into response consistency and the distribution of item difficulty levels. The developed instrument significantly contributes to measuring interest in numerical literacy, supporting educational decision-making, and designing more effective learning interventions

    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA

    This writing aims to understand how the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model works to influence the mathematical thinking skills of class VIII students at the Darus Sholihin Labuhanbatu Islamic Boarding School. The research relies on a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design and quasi-experimental methodology. Two groups of sample students were: an experimental group that received teaching based on the PJBL model, and a control group that received teaching using traditional techniques. The results show that when compared with the control group, students taught using the PJBL paradigm experienced a significant increase in understanding of mathematical concepts. The PJBL model has a significant effect on students' understanding of mathematical concepts, according to statistical analysis using the T-Test, the significance number is 0.002, less than 0.05. As a result, the project-based learning approach can be considered as a successful substitute for strengthening students' mathematical thinking standards

    This study examines the role of mathematical conjecturing in problem-solving by students at UIN SATU Tulungagung, as many students still have conjectures that do not align with the correct solution concepts. The aim of this study is to describe the process of conjecturing among students in solving mathematical problems. This research is qualitative, with the researcher acting as the main instrument to reveal the process behind the problem-solving outcomes. The subjects of the study are sixth-semester students of the Mathematics Education program who have taken courses in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. The findings indicate that the students' conjecturing abilities are quite good, including their ability to test data, propose mathematical models, formulate conjectures, and test conjectures using formal proofs.

    Leveraging AI for Collaborative Writing: A Mixed Method Study on Student Experiences using AI Writing Tools

    The immense development of AI, particularly for writing tools, has made it unavoidable for students to become familiar with these technologies. The study investigates using AI writing tools, specifically Canva Magic Write, Quillbot, and Grammarly, in collaborative writing tasks. Eight third-semester students from the English Department at the Faculty of Letters, University of Persada Bunda Indonesia, were selected using a purposeful sampling technique since they have used AI writing tools, including Canva Magic Write, Quillbot, and Grammarly, in Advanced English Grammar and Essay Writing class in the academic 2024-2025 previously. The study employed mixed methods with an explanatory sequential mixed method design, which involved a two-phase data collection process beginning with quantitative data (Questionnaire) and followed by qualitative data (semi-structured interview). The results showed that three AI writing tools - Grammarly, Quillbot, and Canva Magic Write - significantly impact students' collaborative writing experiences. Grammarly improved writing quality, Quillbot enhanced confidence, and Canva Magic Write proved beneficial for idea generation. However, students faced challenges such as restricted access to premium features, issues with source accuracy, irrelevant suggestions, and technical difficulties. Despite these challenges, students expressed satisfaction with Grammarly and Quillbot, while Canva Magic Write received less favorable feedback due to slower performance and outdated sources. The study highlights the importance of understanding students' perceptions and attitudes toward using AI tools for collaborative writing

    The Use of Communicative Method in Translating Illustrated Children’s Book Mini Num, the Tardigrade

    This study aimed to determine the translation problems found in translating the children's picture book 'Mini Num, the Tardigrade' and the application of the communicative method that could be used to solve these problems. The writer further discussed the translation procedures applied in this study. The research method used was qualitative because in this paper, the writer involved more data and analyzed it based on theory by experts. The study resulted show that the writer used seven translation procedures: naturalization, translation using common words, contextual conditioning, modulation, paraphrase, cultural equivalent, and transposition. The translation results were simple but communicative and attractive according to the needs of children. It proved that the communicative method is more appropriate for translating children's books than the semantic method. This was because of the importance of communicative language for target readers of children, which the resulting text adjusted to children's reading abilities and the language culture that children use daily
