Relevant Aspects of the Person with Disabilities in Front of Law 8/2021, of June 2, which Reforms the Civil and Procedural Legislation to Support People with Disabilities in the Exercise of their Legal Capacity
The purpose of this work is to analyze Law 8/2021, of June 2, which reforms civil and procedural legislation to support people with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity (Law 8/2021 from now on), which implies that not only will the object of study be about the person suffering from any type of disability, but it will delve into the peripheral aspects of this. These aspects are presented through a journey from the protection system for people suffering from a disability before Law 8/2021, passing through the precedents that give rise to such reform, continuing with the exhaustive analysis of Law 8/2021 itself. and the elements that surround it, until briefly clarifying the role of the lawyer in this entire new reform.
The most in-depth analysis, which will be found throughout this document, will deal with the precepts of de facto custody, conservatorship and self-conservation. All this without forgetting the practical part, chosen for its complexity and novelty, of the first two figures.
Therefore, the intention of this document is a analysis of the entry into force of Law 8/2021, that is, as of September 3, 2021, analyzing the law rigorously in the modifications of the different texts analyzing the law, the most notable doctrine and jurisprudence. applied to specific cases. All this methodical analysis will be demonstrated in its practical version, that is, through a practical case a list of facts will be encompassed which are in harmony with the subject. All of this so that the main idea of the writing, the practical analysis of the person suffering from a disability in the face of the new Law 8/2021, penetrates the reader's thoughts.Traballo fin de mestrado (UDC.DER). Influence of aeroelastic parameters uncertainty into the reliability of long-span bridges against extre me wind loads
[Abstract] This work presents an investigation into the influence of aeroelastic parameters on the
reliability of bridges subjected to extreme wind loads. The increasing span lengths of
recent suspension bridges necessitate a more detailed and precise examination of their
behavior in the face of aeroelastic phenomena. Phenomena such as flutter or buffeting
can lead to structural serviceability issues or even structural collapse.
Therefore, analyses of these phenomena have been conducted in specific cases of largespan
bridges, considering various parameters influencing the structure’s response to
aeroelastic phenomena. These considerations encompass factors such as the impact of
static deformation on the aeroelastic behavior of the bridge deck and the incorporation
of mechanical dampers to enhance structural damping.
Furthermore, the parameters governing these phenomena carry associated uncertainties
due to diverse factors. This uncertainty has been characterized, and a reliability
analysis has been carried out using a probabilistic approach, determining the probability
of structural failure considering aeroelastic phenomena.
This probabilistic approach has been applied to a large-span bridge, introducing the
most critical aeroelastic parameters as random variables. The probability of structure
failure has been assessed, considering both flutter and buffeting phenomena. This comprehensive
analysis provides insights into the robustness and reliability of the structure
under extreme wind load phenomena, contributing to a more informed understanding
debido a diversos factores.

Novel adaptive approach for anomaly detection in nonlinear and time-varying industrial systems
Funding for open access charge: Universidade da Coruña/CISUG.[Abstract] The present research describes a novel adaptive anomaly detection method to optimize the performance of nonlinear and time-varying systems. The proposal integrates a centroid-based approach with the real-time identification technique Recursive Least Squares. In order to find anomalies, the approach compares the present system dynamics with the average (centroid) of the dynamics found in earlier states for a given setpoint. The system labels the dynamics difference as an anomaly if it rises over a determinate threshold. To validate the proposal, two different datasets obtained from a level control plant operation have been used, to which anomalies have been artificially added. The results shown have determined a satisfactory performance of the method, especially in those processes with low noise.Xunta de Galicia; ED431B 2023/49Xunta de Galicia; ED431G 2019/0
Predictive performance models in marathon based on half‑marathon, age group and pacing behavior
Open Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with Springer Nature.[Abstract] : Objective The main aim of this study was to develop an equation for predicting performance in 42.2 km (MRT) using pacing and packing behavior, age group and previous 21.1 km time as possible explanatory variables. Methods 1571 men and 251 female runners who took part in the Valencia Marathon and Half-Marathon were selected to display the regression models. Stepwise regression analysis showed as explanatory variables for MRT: pacing behavior, age group, and time in 21.1 km. Results The analysis showed four regression models to estimate accurately MRT based principally on athletes previous performance in half-marathon and pacing behavior for men (R2= 0.72–0.88; RMSE= 4:03–8:31 [min:s]). For women, it was suggested a multiple linear regression for estimating MRT (R2 0.95; RSE= 8:06 [min:s]) based on previous performance in half-marathon and pacing behavior. The subsequent concordance analysis showed no significant differences between four of the total regressions with real time in the marathon (p>0.05). Conclusion The present results suggest that even and negative pacing behavior and a better time in 21.1 km, in the previous weeks of the marathon, might accurately predict the MRT. At the same time, nomadic packing behavior was the one that reported the best performance. On the other hand, although the age group variable might partially explain the final performance, it should be included with caution in the final model because of differences in sample distribution, causing an overestimation or underestimation of the final time
Overview of eRisk 2024: Early Risk Prediction on the Internet (Extended Overview)
Included in: Working Notes of the Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum (CLEF 2024)
Grenoble, France, 9-12 September, 2024.[Abstract]: This paper presents eRisk 2024, the eighth edition of the CLEF conference’s lab dedicated to early risk detection.
Since its inception, the lab has been at the forefront of developing and refining evaluation methodologies,
effectiveness metrics, and processes for early risk detection across various domains. These early alerting models
hold significant value, particularly in sectors focused on health and safety, where timely intervention can be
crucial. eRisk 2024 featured three main tasks designed to push the boundaries of early risk detection techniques.
The first task challenged participants to rank sentences based on their relevance to standardized depression
symptoms, a crucial step in identifying early signs of depression from textual data. The second task focused on the
early detection of anorexia indicators, aiming to develop models that can recognize the subtle cues of this eating
disorder before it becomes critical. The third task was centered around estimating responses to an eating disorders
questionnaire by analyzing users’ social media posts. Participants had to leverage the rich, real-world textual
data available on social media to gauge potential mental health risks. Through these tasks, eRisk 2024 continues
to advance the field of early risk detection, fostering innovations that could lead to significant improvements in
public health interventions. This work was supported by project PLEC2021-007662 (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/ 501100011033, Ministerio

[Abstract]
This present study determines the direct influence of individual interests of students
toward fitness and sports via course engagement in the promotion and preservation of
physical culture inside the university. This study surveyed a total sample of 231 students
taking fitness, sports coaching, and management at a state university. The results
revealed that individual interest, along with its three important factors (positive affect
and willingness to engage, stored utility value, and stored attainment value and
knowledge-seeking intentions), is directly related to course engagement and its four
components (skills, participation/interaction, emotional, and performance engagement).
Therefore, it can be concluded that individual interest in fitness and sports is an
important determinant of course engagement that may lead students to practice healthy
living, even outside the academe. Limitations and future recommendations are hereby
presented.[Resumen]

[Abstract]
The aim of the present study was to comprehend the value level of high school students
regarding PE and sports lesson activities, and to understand if that value significantly
differs according to sex, participation in school sports, participation in sports clubs, and
grade. In a combined analysis, students demonstrated an appreciation for the five items
focused on in the questionnaire (success, respect, national culture and unity,
sportsmanship and sports culture), indicating values around 4 out of 5. In the sex
analysis, only the intensity differed, with the order of valorization remaining the same,
with respect being the highest, followed closely by success, and sportsmanship coming
last. Those actively involved in sports tended to place a higher value on success, while
individuals who did not participate valued respect more. Success was only prioritized
over respect at the age of 11. The positions from third to fifth place in terms of
appreciation consistently remained in the order: national culture and unity, sports
culture, and sportsmanship. The PE class can be very enriching in developing values in
students by promoting problem-solving situations to stimulate reflection. Therefore,
merely participating in the class is not enough; the teacher must actively create these
situations and encourage dialogue[Resumen]

NTGA2 method is effective as a generic black-box metaheuristic. In the paper, we present experiments to examine how effective NTGA2 is in multi-objective optimization when the black-box rule is omitted, and specialized operators are used: Cheaper Resource Crossover, Less Assignment Crossover, and Resource-Leveling Mutation. Experimental results show that specialized operators have extra computational costs, but finally, the NTGA2 method is the most effective. Results are based on the benchmark iMOPSE library, compared to state-of-the-art methods, and statistically verified
Relationship between body mass index and locomotion skills in elementary schoolchildren
Student’s t-test was used for comparison between sexes and Pearson's correlation test for the relationship between the study variables. There was a negative correlation between BMI and LH in both sexes. In boys it was -0.24 (p<0.05) and in girls it was -0.16 (p<0.05). Children of both sexes showed better performance in the LH when they were categorized as normal weight compared to those with excess weight (EW) (p<0.05).There was a negative relationship between BMI and LH, which allows highlighting that EW in children of both sexes can be a relevant factor conditioning LH performance in children of both sexes
