White Evangelical Republican Attitudes Toward Political Enemies, Compromise, and Democratic Norms
Using data from ANES and the Pew Research Center, I examine white evangelicals’ attitudes toward perceived out groups and political compromise. I compare their attitudes to the national average to see if evangelicals are consistently unique. I also compare white evangelical Republicans’ attitudes to those of non-evangelical Republicans to see if evangelicals stand out among Republicans as well. White evangelical Republicans feel more negatively toward outgroups and are less supportive of compromise than non-evangelical Republicans and the national average

The Mediation Dance of Choreography Copyright
Despite its societal presence and pervasive benefits for both performers and observers, dance remains a low-paying field with limited career longevity. While dance choreography copyright protection is an option for artists to monetize their work long-term, there are significant barriers due to legal complexities, financial burdens, and lack of awareness regarding copyright protections. The limitations of the copyright landscape burden choreographers who do seek to take advantage of their intellectual property rights, and many of the current suggested solutions for protecting choreography either prove inadequate or involve negative consequences. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), particularly mediation with BATNA/WATNA incentives, presents a promising alternative to litigation for resolving dance choreography copyright disputes. Mediation offers a cost-effective process that provides flexibility not bound by strict copyright laws. It is a creative, informal method harmonizing well with the artistic aspects of dance. Promoting mediation among the dance community would ensure proper acknowledgment and compensation for choreographic works, thereby supporting the financial well-being of dancers and choreographers
The Role of Intuition in Knowledge
In this paper, McSpadden challenges Climenhaga\u27s use of intuitions as evidence by arguing that one does not have to cite memories, sensory experiences, and testimony in order to subconsciously use them to form her beliefs. McSpadden argues that there is a psychological definition of what intuitions could be, that intuitions do not always make philosophers more confident in their beliefs, and that intuitions can instead be explained by a cognitive reaction using past experiences
Ask the Expert: Krysten Dial, PsyD
Psychology is an academic discipline that takes learners through intimate explorations of the inner workings of the human mind, human motivation, and human behavior. Because every industry that involves people requires professionals that understand how people move through the world, the career applications for a student of psychology can present themselves in any industry and at various levels.
One major career track for those interested in psychology happens at the clinical level, where psychology expertise is applied to helping people cope with or overcome mental health struggles, cultivate greater self-awareness, and move toward lives that center on self-confidence, self-reliance, and well-being.
Those interested in clinical psychology will find that demand for mental health professionals of this kind is on the rise. According to the Bureau for Labor Statistics (BLS 2024), occupational growth for clinical, counseling, and school psychologists is predicted to grow by 7 percent between 2023 and 2033, a rate that’s nearly double the predicted growth for all occupations nationwide. That amounts to an additional 14,000 new clinical psychology positions created, for a total of 221,600 by the end of this time period.
Prospective students interested in becoming a part of this field will find many master of psychology programs offering formalized psychology training. Students who wish to continue working while studying, can’t physically move to pursue higher education, or want the flexibility to fit an academic program into their current life’s schedule can pursue master’s-level training online. While most online programs do not require any sort of in-person commitment, those that do often attempt to minimize disruptions to student life by offering residencies, immersions, or orientations that happen only for a few days
