A Study on the Independent Component Analysis on Blind Source Separation
publisherThe author proposes a new method for the permutation problem on the Comon algorithm. The Comon algorithm is one of the effective Independent Component Analysis which is used for the Blind Source Separation. In this paper, permutation problem and conventional method for the problem are described. Then, a new method is proposed, and the performance of it is evaluated by using noise reduction rate and auditory test.departmental bulletin pape
Construction of Web-based Work-Aiding Systems using Open Source Software
publisherAs the sudden spread of the Internet, many works in office are being more efficient by using technology based on WWW (World Wide Web). Now we are developing some such the convinient and helpful network systems using Open Source Software. We report about how to build a system, and each running systems: "Campus Board System" and "Regional Net Print System".departmental bulletin pape
With the Aim of Construction of the Synthetic Experiment Practice -The Design & Production of Small Machine Vise in Mechanical Engineering Experiments and Practice Ⅲ-
publisherThe subject "Mechanical engineering experiments and practice Ⅲ" was renamed from "Manufacturing practice Ⅲ" with modification of the contents in practice subject and it applied to the students who enter department of engineering in Apr.2000 as a freshman. The aim of this modification is to introduce creative and experimental elements into practice subject. For this purpose, the new practice subject has one continuous operation which consisted of design, production and experiment. Here, I report the case study when small machine vise was used as a teaching material for 3rd grade of the students.departmental bulletin pape
A Study on Physique and Physical Fitness of the Students in Tsuyama college of Technology
publisherThe purpose of this study is to investigate physique and physical fitness of the students in Tsuyama College of Technology. The measurement of physical strength of the students was carried out by using "The Sports Test" established by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. First, the records were compared with that of the whole Japan. Next, the comparison was made between the records of the students who belong to the sports clubs in our college and those who don't. Moreover, the further comparison of the results of questionnaire on the lifestyle was made between them. The results are as follows:
1. The national average peaks at the age of seventeen and after that it tends to fall down. The records of our college tend to go up with age.
2. The records of the students who belong to the sports clubs surpass the records of those who don't. Especially, there is a great difference in mascular strength, mascular-endurance strength, whole-body endurance strength and skillfulness.
3. In the survey of their lifestyle, there is little difference between the students who belong to the sports clubs and those who don't, except in the amount of physical training. Generally, there are many students who skip breakfast and who have little sleep hours.departmental bulletin pape

White LED using Violet-LED and R/G/B Phosphors
publisherConventional white LED is made of a blue LED and yellow phosphor. Therefore, it dosen't have a good color rendering property. The problem has to be solved for the practical use of white LED illumination.
In this study, we simulated the spectrum distribution of a white LED and fabricated it by using ultraviolet LED and Red/Green/Blue phosphors. The new white light spectrum was closer to the solar spectrum than conventional white LED and the new white light had a good color rendering property.departmental bulletin pape
Crystal Plasticity Analysis by Rigid-Plastic Finite Element Method Considering Crystal Slip
publisherIn order to clarify the deformation behavior of polycrystalline metals, formulation based on crystal slips is incorporated into the rigid-finite element analysis. The rate-dependent type constitutive relation is assumed for the crystal slips and the compressibility is assumed for the material in order to avoid the singularity of the stress-strain matrix used in numerical analysis. Based on the analysis, a numerical example is shown.departmental bulletin pape
Development of a training system to learn probability distributions based on the e-Learning
publisherThis is a training system for students who learn personally about probability distributions. The students can learn binomial, Poisson, normal distribution and so on by using this system. The training system runs on the Web browser so students can use them regardless of places, time and the number of devices. This system gets the distributions by totaling the physical random numbers considered as statistical data. The system also prepares exercises of the distributions. The students can relearn them by the exercises.departmental bulletin pape
Dormitory Exchange Program -One Way of Realizing Cooperation among Colleges-
publisherThe dormitory affairs committee of Tsuyama National College of Technology has been managing the dormitory, Hokushinryou, in cooperation with its resident society. The committee hopes that the resident society becomes much more cultivated enough to be inseparable from the committee, in treating forthcoming issues concerning the dormitory management. In order to develop the resident society, then, the committee worked out one program about four years ago, and has carried it out since then. That is the dormitory exchange program: a few residents are sent to the other colleges distant from ours, and simultaneously we receive the residents from those colleges. They live under the same roof as the residents of the partner colleges. They also take classes for their stays. The present authors think that this program is greatly useful for the residents to develop the sprit of both self-reliance and self-control for themselves. Self-reliance and self-control is also one of the educational aims of Tsuyama National College. This program will surely help to make the dormitory becoming to the institution of a higher education.departmental bulletin pape
Complicity by Alcoholic Beverage and Currency --Signifieds Fluctuating in The Sun Also Rises
publisherThis paper aims at investigating the signifieds attached to alcohol beverage and currency in the first full-length novel of Ernest Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises. Although such signifiers as alcohol and money are innately regarded as what makes people drunken and what enables them to buy anything they want, respectively, their signifieds can frequently change. Hemingway places much importance on the fluctuation of the signifieds. Most of the characters including protagonist Jake Barns are ruled by both the alcohol codes and the currency ones. People in this novel cannot evacuate themselves from the kingdom governed by the two codes. With the analysis from the viewpoint, The Sun Also Rises shows an aspect that has never been clarified.departmental bulletin pape
