    振動推進翼を用いた教育用水中ロボットの試作

    publisher近年の科学技術の発達により、社会や産業においてロボットの果たす役割が大きくなってきており、ロボットを教材とした工学教育が中・高・大学等で取り入れられている。しかしながら、「歩行」ロボットをテーマにしたものが多い一方で、水中の魚等が「泳ぐ」動きをテーマにした工学教育はあまり行われていない。魚の遊泳運動は単にヒレで水を押し出すだけでなく、揚力を利用したり、体をくねらせながら水圧を巧みに利用するなど複雑なメカニズムを有しており、初等工学教育の教材として適している。そこで、海生生物の優れた推進機構に学び、その動きをまねた教材の開発を試みた。本研究では、小中学生を対象にした流体力に関するメカトロニクスの出前授業等へ適用が可能なロボットを想定し、揚力推進を行うイルカとウミガメをモチーフに、同じ1つのDCサーボモータ及び駆動周期を有する供試筐体を開発した。departmental bulletin pape

    Trials of the newsletters for the guidance of the 1st graders

    publisherFreshmen often get confused because their school life at National College of Technology is very different from that of junior high school. They and their parents wanted the college to provide them with helpful guidance. Therefore, we have tried some different methods in order to provide guidance for the 1st graders in the past three years. We need to offer appropriate information to the freshmen and the parents and respond to the requests that we have received so far. In this paper, we report the effect of the newsletters for freshumen and their parents as one of the profitable methods we have explored.     Investigation on the Sintering of the Bizen Soil.1.

    publisherMuch about the sintering of the Bizen soils has yet to be understood. The Bizen-yaki,, one of Japanese traditional potteries, famous for both its characteristic color of Hidasuki and its simple and sturdy texture, have attracted an audience from around the world. Recently, a rumor has had it that the taste of beer is better in the Bizen mug-cup than in others. We think that this fact is probably connected with the surface texture of the Bizen cup. Our motivation to this study lies around here. In the periment, the Bizen soil pretreated at various temperatures up to 1000℃ was measured for its adsorption isotherm of N2 at -196℃. The gas evolution through heating the soil was also examined mass-spectrometrically. And moreover the SEM observation and EPMA were carried out.     津山高専における定期試験の答案管理システムの概要

    現在高専・大学では日本技術者教育認定機構(JABEE)や認証評価のために、定期試験の答案を保管することが義務づけられている。津山高専でも平成5年度から答案を全てコピーして保存してきたが、コストや保存場所の問題から継続が困難になってきた。そこで、平成17年度に答案を電子化して保存することが検討され、年度末にシステムを購入、18年度の前期中間試験から正式にすべて電子化して保存することとなった。今回は、この答案管理システムの概要と、運用状況について報告したい。othe

    Effect of Flame Stretch on Combustion Mechanisms of Two-Component Fuel Mixtures

    publisherIn this study, combustion mechanisms and effects of flame stretch on the burning velocity of two-component fuel mixtures of hydrogen and hydrocarbon are investigated by chemical kinetics computations. Lean and rich Mixtures having nearly the same laminar burning velocity S(L0) are prepared by adding nitrogen to two-component fuel mixtures where the hydrogen additional rate δ and S(L0) are varied from 0 to 1 and 15 to 35cm/s, respectively. As a result, it is elucidated that Markstein numbers of lean flames are changed monotonically from the value of the hydrocarbon flame to that of the hydrogen flame with increasing δ, however, those of rich flames show a complicated trend. These phenomena are explained qualitatively in light of the production rate of OH and HO(2).departmental bulletin pape

    Study of Finite Density Lattice QCD using Random Matrix Theory

    publisherThe comparison between unquenched SU(3) Lattice QCD and random matrix theory can provide information on the pion decay constant Fπ. We calculated eigenvalue distributions of Dirac operator on 8(3)×4 lattice using Nf = 2 Kogut-Susskind fermions. We performed fits between these lattice data and the spectral density of random matrix theory at coupling β = 5.30 and iso-vector chemical potential μa = 0.0,0.004773, 0.1 and 0.2, and then find good agreement. Especially our data indicates that Fπ decreases as the iso-vector chimical potential increases. For more precise fit of α parameter, we also compare the first eigenvalue distribution of random matrix theory to unquenched lattice data.departmental bulletin pape

    Design of CMAC-PID Control System Compensating Control Performance in Steady-State

    publisherIn industrial processes, initiatives of production quality and cost reduction have created a demand. In such the situation, a concern with control performances in steady-state operation has been growing in recent years. On the other hand, Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller(CMAC) that is a kind of artificial neural networks has been proposed to control nonlinear systems. The CMAC has features of simple structure, a few design parameters and high-speed learning. A scheme for tuning PID parameters by using the CMACs has been also proposed. However, this scheme is focused on improvement of transient control performances. In this research, a new design of CMAC-PID control system compensating performance in steady-state is proposed. After weight tables included into the CMACs are learned, the weights that is employed in steady-state are re-tuned.     Investigation on the activated carbon constructing electrodes for EDLC

    publisherIt is well known that the performance of Electric Double Layer Capacitor(EDLC) strongly depend on the activated carbon which constructs its electrodes. In this paper, we’ll investigate the relations between specific surface area and pore diameter of the activated carbon and how to affect the performance on EDLC when these activated carbons were used for its electrodes. The activated carbons used for electrodes here are made under various conditions such as times, temperature for carbonization and temperature, water vapor for activation. Results we got are summarized as follows ① specific surface area of activated carbon are strongly effected by temperature and time for activation. ② The relation between specific surface area and pore diameter of the activated carbon couldn’t be clarified and analyzed yet.③ the specific surface area does not orrelate with the capacity of EDLC just like the normal capacitor, C=ε S/d.departmental bulletin pape
