Long-term Evaluation of TNCT Independently Blocking of Spam E-mail
publisherWe reported a unique blocking system of spam e-mail using Postfix mail server proguram six years ago. In this report, a subsequent improvement and an effect of the blocking are reported on a long-term view. We introduce additional refusal rules not only in delivery servers connected to the Internet but in the intramural last receiving server in order to improve a blocking efficiency. Although very slight superfluous restriction has occurred, the mail delivery system by which spam e-mail hardly enters within our campus is realizable without optional software and/or hardware.departmental bulletin pape

For example, there are Twitter, Facebook, LINE, mixi, and so on. However, SNS is very difficult to understand for Information illiterate. In this challenge, in order to provide real-time information of "B-1 Grand prix in Tsuyama", our system was built. This system provides near-real-time information. Information is based on information that was sent by staff. Moreover, user interface is simple web-page and it is easy to use. In order to get latest information, the web browser is only required. In the day of event, our system acted role without incident. It seems without problem that operating our system, but exists some issues about construction. Mathematics and Chemistry Interdisciplinary Joint Research and the Fukui Project III

The symposium was held on April 5th and 6th in Tsuyama city, Okayama, Japan, in conjunction with the Fukui Project and was devoted to the memory of the late Professor Kenichi Fukui (1981 Nobel Prize) who initiated the project. The present series also provides a challenging cross-disciplinary problem which is directly related to the Fukui conjecture and to recent carbon nanotube

A Magnetic Carbon Sorbent for Radioactive Material from the Fukushima Nuclear Accident
Here we present the first report of a carbon-γ-Fe(2)O(3) nanoparticle composite of mesoporous carbon, bearing COOH- and phenolic OH- functional groups on its surface, a remarkable and magnetically separable adsorbent, for the radioactive material emitted by the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. Contaminated water and soil at a level of 1,739 Bq kg(−1) ((134)Cs and (137)Cs at 509 Bq kg(−1) and 1,230 Bq kg(−1), respectively) and 114,000 Bq kg(−1) ((134)Cs and (137)Cs at 38,700 Bq kg(−1) and 75,300 Bq kg(−1), respectively) were decontaminated by 99% and 90% respectively with just one treatment carried out in Nihonmatsu city in Fukushima. Since this material is remarkably high performance, magnetically separable, and a readily applicable technology, it would reduce the environmental impact of the Fukushima accident if it were used.journal articl

Performance of Transmission Gear with Minimum Quantity Lubrication Method
publisherFrom an environmental point of view, a MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) method should be adopted to gear transmission systems. This study aims to find a reliable MQL method and a design method for gears operated under high-speed driving conditions. The conclusions are as follows. First, the application of centrifugal lubrication method is able to pull out the full cooling performance of the lubricant. Second, the operation of gears with 30% specific sliding shows less heat generation than that of gears with 50% specific sliding. Third, combining the centrifugal lubrication method and the gears with 30% specific sliding is effective for reducing an environmental load of gear transmission systems.departmental bulletin pape

Gemini 2 System and ASCOM Platform
publisherIn March 2012, we constructed an astronomical observatory on the rooftop of our school building. This observatory is equipped with an equatorial mount and a 35cm diameter ACF (Advanced Coma-Free) telescope. The Gemini 2 system of this equatorial mount can be controlled by the Web browser of a PC on a network. ASCOM (AStronomy Common Object Model) is an open integrated platform that provides a standard interface for astronomy equipment including mounts, focusers, and imaging devices in a Microsoft Windows environment.
