    A study of ESD through Cultural Heritage:From the Practice of High School Japanese History Exploration

    令和5年6月に現行の学習指導要領や日本史探究教科書の学習内容の検討をもとにして、単元「東大寺の大仏から学ぶ持続可能な社会づくり」を開発し実践した。授業実践では、中澤静男 (2023) の「古都奈良の文化財の SDGs 教材開発に関する研究」のなかの東大寺僧侶が伝える「大仏さまの教え」に着目し、僧侶をゲストティーチャーとしてESD に組み込むことで、歴史理解と文化遺産の保存・継承にとどまらない、ESD の価値観や GAP で示された市民参画を考え、SDGs の達成に貢献する価値観への転換と行動化を促す授業展開を試みた。この実践をもとに生徒の変容を考察した。これをふまえて、学習指導要領前文と解説に新たに加えられた、持続可能な社会づくりを担おうとする態度を養うことをも視野に入れた文化遺産を通した ESD の歴史学習を提案する。departmental bulletin pape

    Proposal for Performance Tasks Based on KUDs (Know, Understanding, Do) to Aid Understanding of Density: A Case Study related to the “Material Density” in Lower Secondary Schools

    This study verifies whether the developed concept-based curriculum and performance tasks promote the understanding of lower secondary school students' experimental skills of material density and the concept of density. In the recent survey on implementation of the curriculum guidelines for lower secondary schools, problems in the measurement of material volume using graduated cylinders, preparation of tables and graphs, and data analysis and interpretation were noted. In previous studies, the introduction of the amount per unit quantity in elementary school mathematics and functions and proportionality in lower secondary school mathematics has promoted a better understanding of the concept of density. Therefore, in the 1st grade of the lower secondary school, the “density” units; knowledge of facts (Know) such as volume, mass, and graph creation; concepts related to relationships such as proportional functions (Understand); and processes and skills (Do) and developed performance tasks corresponding to it have been addressed. Subsequently, the improvement of skills such as planning and processing of the results obtained through the analysis by performance assessments and formation of the third usage of the intensive quantities among the survey problems (“density test”) could be achieved.departmental bulletin pape

    A Study of the <Partial-Tuitional Classrooms> in Modern Japan:Through a survey of educational journals from 1882-1914

    The purpose of this paper is to clarify the reality of special classes with a system of teaching only some subjects (). 423 articles from educational journals published between 1882 and 1914 were analyzed, and the following three points became clear. First, although the was considered a “class” until 1906, it was no longer considered a “class” in 1909 and was rarely mentioned after 1913. Secondly, the was not regarded as a “special class” outside of the schools that implemented it.     A Research on "Question Words" to Activate Students' Thinking in Lectures

    本研究は、大学の講義で学生に向けて、教員から発せられたどのような「問い」が、学生の思考活動に影響を与えているか、それを明らかにすることを目的としている。研究の手続きとしては、教員養成系の学生の協力を得て、オンデマンド教材を用いて、目的別に「問い」を設定し、それがどのような影響を学生に与えるかを分析している。学生の回答記述をテキストマイニングを用いて分析し、学生の理解を確認する問い、思考を活性化する問い、既習事項や専門性を活かす問いを検討している。結果として、いずれの問いにしろ、最後にその回答行動を促す「指示と関わる言葉の選択」が、学生の専門性を引き出し、多様で活発な論議を引き起こし、思考を活性化させる上で、意味を持つことが明らかになった。departmental bulletin pape

    An Attempt to Consider Organic Farming Lesson from an ESD Perspective:Through Activities that Consider Questions without Answers

    奈良教育大学附属小学校での教育実習内で実施した小学校第 4 学年の社会科で無農薬・有機栽培について学習する研究授業の実践報告である。無農薬・有機栽培は人々の健康や環境を守ることが出来る一方で、農薬や化学肥料を使う栽培では効率の良い生産が出来るというようにこの 2 つの栽培方法は「トレードオフの関係」にありどちらの栽培方法が正解であるか答えはない。授業を行うにあたって、この 2 つの栽培方法がトレードオフの関係にありながらも、どちらかの栽培方法を選ぶ裏で子どもから多様な考えを引き出すための「答えのない問い」を設定し、子どもに考えさせる活動を取り入れることを模索した。この「答えのない問い」を考える活動を取り入れることにより ESD で育てたい資質・能力にもなっている多面的・総合的に考える力を育むことに繋がることが示唆された。本稿では研究授業の検討段階からその実際、今後への課題・展望について報告する。departmental bulletin pape

    小学校英語、初等教科教育法(英語)外国語活動での授業の中で、「個別最適な学び」とグループでの「協働的な学び」を進め、学生に ESD の考え方から、SDGs に関するクイズを作成する取り組みを実施した。間接的ではあるが、SDGsについて調べて、理解を深め、SDGs に関する取り組みをこれから実行していくための基礎になるはずであると考えている。合わせて、授業の事前調査と事後調査の実施した内容から、これからの学生の要望や、将来の希望進路などを調査して、これからの授業と学生の進路へ展望も一緒に考えてみたい。departmental bulletin pape

    Analysis of Learning Approaches based on Health Education Survey:Gender-Specific Surveys Targeting University Students

    [Background] While the acquisition of health-related information and knowledge is mandated duringthe school education period according to the curriculum, health issues among young individuals have been increasingly observed in inrecent times. This study aimed to investigate the status of health education and examine the nature of its learning. [Method] A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted among university students. Participants were asked about their recollection of health education during their middle and highschool years, including the contents remembered and their expectations regarding the learning content. [Results]Gender differences were not evident in learning recollection; however, variations were observed in the percentageof requests for the 'need for sex education.' Approximately 10% of students responded with 'no recollection,' citing reasons such as 'unnecessary as an elective subject' or 'insufficient emphasis due to self-study.' [Discussion] With the mandatory enforcement of comprehensive life-safety education in 2022 and the imperative need for thorough communication of sex education, educators are likely to face increased responsibilities. Effectively employing active and dialogic learning strategies within health education is deemed essential to encourage students to acknowledge the importance of health education (184 words).departmental bulletin pape
