departmental bulletin pape

Development of Disability Recognition in Children

    No full text
How children recognize disability? How does that recognition change with the development and learning of the children? In this paper, in order to clarify development of disability recognition in children, we conducted an interview survey with children aged 7 to 12. In conducting the survey, questions regarding disabilities were set following the research method of Toshitaka TAMARU, who studies the development of children’s social awareness. By examining the dialogue process between the investigator and the children regarding the item, we are trying to approach the children’s recognition of “disability”. As a result of the survey, 80% of the second graders of elementary school also mentioned the word “disability”, and all the children in the fourth grade answered that they had “heard”. It became clear that even if limited to ”know”, it will be 80% in the fourth grade. Furthermore, an analysis of children's speech suggests that their perceptions of disability have different characteristics than those of adults, and that they change significantly with the learning and development of children in elementary school.departmental bulletin pape

Conservative Ecologists in the German Green Party : Focusing on the Grüne Aktion Zukunft ([GAZ] Green Action Future)

    No full text
The German Green Party was founded in January 1980 and has since consolidated its position in the national party and parliamentary system. Some Green Politicians can trace their origin to the student protests of 1968 and the New Left. Today, many people treat the German Green Party as the party of the “1968 generation.” However, the German Green Party was founded as an electoral and organizational alliance of several political groups, including conservative ecologists. Therefore, this article aims to clarify the importance of the roles played by conservative ecologists during the early era of the German Green Party. This article stresses the following two points about the above-mentioned issue. First, many activists during the early era of the German Green Party, including conservative ecologists, belonged to the “1945 generation,” not the “1968 generation.” Second, conservative ecologists, mostly the “1945 generation,” left the party around 1981 because of differences in not only policies but also the “habitus” between the “1945 generation” and the “1968 generation.”departmental bulletin pape
