No full textP(論文)非ステロイド性抗炎症薬(NSAID)フルルビプロフェン(FP)の蛋白結合率は約99%であり、組織移行性が低い。6-メトキシ-2-ナフチル酢酸(6MNA)は、NSAIDの1つであるナブメトンの活性代謝産物である。これらの薬物は、ともにヒト血清アルブミン(HSA)のサイトIIに強く結合する。私たちは、LLC-PK1を用いて6MNA添加時のFPの細胞膜透過性について調べた。この実験では、細胞膜プレートの上側を組織側、下側を血管側と想定した。下側のFPを含むHSA溶液に6MNAを添加後、上側、下側のFP濃度を測定した。上側へのFPの移行量は6MNAの添加により、Total FPおよびFree FP濃度ともに有意な増加を示した。下側の量は変化が見られなかった。臨床におけるナブメトンの併用はFPのようなサイトII結合性薬物の標的組織への移行量を増加させ、少量においても効果を高める可能性が示唆された。The protein binding rate of a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID), flurbiprofen (FP), is about 99%, indicating its low tissue transfer. 6-Methoxy-2-naphthyl acetic acid (6MNA) is an active metabolite of an NSAID, nabumetone (Relifen ®). These drugs strongly bind to human serum albumin (HSA) site II, suggesting that protein binding inhibition by 6MNA may promote tissue transfer of FP. We investigated cell membrane permeability of FP in the presence of 6MNA using swine kidney cell line LLC-PK1, in which the upper and lower sides of the cell membrane plate (Transwell ®) were regarded as the tissue and vascular sides, respectively. After adding 6MNA to HSA solution containing FP on the lower side, the FP levels in the upper and lower solutions and cells were measured. FP transfer to the upper side was significantly promoted by the addition of 6MNA with regard to the total and free FP levels. No change in the FP level was noted in cells or wells. It was suggested that concomitant nabumetone may promote transfer of site II binding drugs, such as FP, to the target tissue, increasing the effect even at a low dose.departmental bulletin pape
Enhancement of CD93 expression and interleukin-8 (IL-8) production in the human monocyte-like cell line U937 in response to Taimatsu fermented rice germ gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA)
No full textP(論文)たいまつ米胚芽発酵GABAによる単球系細胞株(U937)表面上のCD93抗原の発現をモノクローナル抗体を用いた酵素抗体法およびフローサイトメトリー法で解析した。その結果、たいまつ米胚芽発酵GABAで培養したU937細胞はCD93(C1qRp)の発現が有意に増強した。また、CD93の発現増強はprotein kinase C(PKC)阻害剤であるGo6976で抑制された。さらに、たいまつ米胚芽発酵GABAで培養したU937細胞はインターロイキン-8(IL-8)の産生も有意に増強した。以上の結果から、たいまつ米胚芽発酵GABAにはヒトの免疫応答を増強する作用があることがわかった。We examined the modulation of CD93 (receptor for complement component 1, subcomponent qphagocytosis; C1qRp) expression in the human monocyte-like cell line U937 cultured with Taimatsufermented rice germ gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) using CD93 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), aglutaraldehyde-fixed cellular enzyme immunoassay (GCEIA), and flow cytometry. The expression ofCD93 in the U937 cells cultured with Taimatsu fermented rice germ GABA was significantly enhanced (P<0.01), compared with that in the control cells (cultured without Taimatsu fermented rice germ GABA) at 24 hrs. This enhancement of CD93 expression was dose-dependent and timedependent. The enhancement of CD93 expression was markedly blocked in the presence of the protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor Go6976. In addition, the U937 cells cultured with Taimatsu fermented rice germ GABA significantly enhanced (P<0.01) the production of interleukin-8 (IL-8) in the culture supernatants. Together, these findings strongly indicated that Taimatsu fermented rice germ GABA has immunopotentiator effects on some human immune responses.departmental bulletin pape

No full textP(論文)Following the destruction of Takedajuku, a facility for child welfare established in Kashiwara city,Osaka pref. in 1926, an investigation confirmed a large amount of historical material form this site.Of special importance were photographs and other image data which recorded the situation of social welfare services at this institution during the Second World War.During the investigation and analysis, it was confirmed that deterioration by molds and mirrorings of the photographic material was the result of the storage environment and the handling of these materials through the naked eye observation.Clearly it must become a priority to develop an effective approach to preserve and archive to deal with the needs of consider such a historical data and materials unlike with museum.departmental bulletin pape
A study of motivation and field knowledge of entering freshman students from a QOL perspective
No full textP(論文)In this paper we compare the motivations, views on life and pre-course knowledge of occupational therapy among entering students from the year 1999 and 2008. In 1999 a total of 49 students were enrolled and in 2008 a total of 42 students were enrolled. Informed awareness of the subject area increased significantly between 1999 and 2008 (p<0.01), which followed a similar trend of the nation. Students who entered in 2008 had increased information about occupational therapy from their high school teachers. We also found the later period student sought advice from enrolled students and that location was a greater factor in their enrollment decision. For students entering in 2008 there was a shift in their focal concerns. We used the Basic Quality of Life Scale (BAQL) to quantify differences between the groups and found differences in levels of desire, confidence, lifestyle and social networks between the groups.departmental bulletin pape
Analysis of some effective factors related to prevention of long-term care
No full textP(論文)The frail elderly has been defined as `high-risk elderly' after the long-term care insurance law was revised in 2005. For the high risk elderly, some health programs have been conducted to prevent declining physical or mental activities. However, participants of the new health program were very low. Thus, the purpose of the present study was to find factors to reduce long-term care among community-dwelling elderly persons. In the target area, health promotion activity has already been high therefore the health program has been sustainable. Self-administered questionnaires and interviews were conducted to survey the effect of the health program in the successful area. The participants of the program were various types of the residents besides high-risk elderly persons. Public supports by local government and a powerful professional director were needed in order to develop an attractive program that matched the community situation. Furthermore, the role of community-leaders and volunteers were very important to begin the program. These findings suggest that it is necessary to nurture more community-leaders and volunteers for the sustainable program preventing long-term care.departmental bulletin pape
A study on paternal childcare characteristics in Northern Miyazaki prefecture
No full textP(論文)For successful implementation of Japanese government policies of childcare support and work life balance, the reconsideration of working life and the active participation of the father in childcare are essential. In order to determine the actual situation in less urban areas, this study presents results from a questionnaire given to fathers of kindergarten children in Nobeoka, Kadogawa and Hyuga cities in northern Miyazaki prefecture on their level of participation in child rearing. Results found that the fathers in this region actively spend more time with their children than the national average, and are highly conscious of their parental role in the family. However, they also reported a high degree of overtime, weekend and holiday work, and difficulty in actually taking childcare leave, which would detrimentally affect their overall income. In order to implement effective policies based on the local characteristics of the region (that is, a high percentage of nuclear families both working but with lower incomes), it is necessary to provide more variation in childcare services, such as weekend and holiday childcare and care for sick children. Emergency and night medical services for children are also urgently needed, as well as community development, and cooperation among local government agencies, companies and community residents is essential to produce a successful support for system for the next generation.departmental bulletin pape
A study of the elderly quality of life which a student considers: comparison of elderly quality of life
No full textP(論文)This study aimed to investigate the quality of life (QOL) of elderly people as judged by university students. A comparison was made between the QOL of the elderly as judged by university students with the actual QOL of the elderly. Subjects were 136 elderly with a mean age of 73.1±5.5 years, and 35 students with a mean age 21.7±1.12 years. A basic QOL scale was applied for the measurement of QOL. It was found that the elderly QOL judged by the students was generally a low value. Moreover, subjective well-being was viewed differently by the two groups. It was found that the elderly QOL judged by students was influenced by the students own QOL. It was concluded that the QOL of elderly peoples as judged by university students related to the actual QOL of the students.departmental bulletin pape

This study pays particular attention to the spread and development of sports through academic training to schools and organized sport clubs. This change in organized school sports has brought with it a change in our attitudes about the educational value of sports. Research on teacher attitudes toward child abuse (5) : A preliminary analysis on mothers' attitudes toward life and perception of child abuse
No full textP(論文)The purpose of this study was to investigate how typical mothers would evaluate a potential case of child abuse and how that evaluation relates attitudes toward life. Subjects were 119 mothers who have elementary-aged schoolchildren or junior high school-aged children.Subjects completed three surveys: 1. regarding suspected child abuse cases, 2. attitudes toward life and 3. personal information questions, Factor analysis on attitudes towards life and perception of child abuse revealed five factors weighing on the attitudes toward life, three factors weighing on the child and two factors weighing on the family. Our results suggest that there was the relationship between `the common idea' in attitudes toward life and `the problem relationship of the family' in the perception of child abuse.departmental bulletin pape
