Credibility and validity of the self-assessment scale for aphasia patient care proficiency.
P(論文)The purpose of the study is a development of scale for measuring "knowledge and practice of aphasia patient nursing care" of nurses. Aphasia patient care proficiency self-assessment scale, which consists of 15 items, is simple for respondents to be able to respond in a short time and its credibility and validity have been recognized. The scale has obtained 0.87 of correlation coefficient by test-retest method conducted for 193 of nurses of recovery wings, showing 0.82`0.87 of Cronbach confidence coefficient between each subscale, and its internal coincidence has been confirmed. In addition, two major factors, i.e. "aphasia patient care knowledge factor" and "aphasia care factor" have been extracted, showing 47.5% of cumulative contribution with 0.52`0.79 of factor loading. Further, as a result of principal component analysis, cumulative contributions of "aphasia patient care knowledge factor"and"aphasia care factor" were 54.5% and 69.5% respectively, and the validity of constructive concept has been recognized.departmental bulletin pape
Reality and possibility of protection of minors in China : regarding children kidnapping/human trafficking cases
P(論文)In discussing the security of the compulsory education in rural areas in China, the problem of kidnapping and human trafficking is an inevitable theme. The purpose of this paper is to describe that there are surely some people who strive to protect the childrenユs rights even under severe conditions as children are very precious for the country and will become leaders in the next generation, and that the measure of subsequent social education is important and it has achieved greater successes than controlling by criminal law. The composition of this paper is as follows. First of all, in the following chapter 2, it mentions about the establishment and the amendment process of "the Law on the Protection of Minors of the People's Republic of China" that is a main law for children's rights security. In the following chapter 3, it studies through analysis of the latest report as to how the Chinese government that eagerly attempts to establish stable legal system tackles against kidnapping and human trafficking by using the law. Finally, in chapter 4, it discusses what kind of social education is used by the Chinese government and the relevant authorities to tackle and reform consciousness in the communities based on the anecdotal reports regarding the successful examples toward inconsistency in society. The author concludes that it is vital for these kind of problems to implant consciousness of children's rights protection in each adult's mind as well as controlling by law.departmental bulletin pape
A study on the feelings of burden and QOL of the personnel at day-care institutions.
P(論文)We studied the relationship between the feelings of burden at work including its factors and quality of life (QOL) among the staff working in day care institutions where elderly people staying at home commute to. We examined a total of 111 people. In addition to asking their attributes, we placed to them a questionnaire consisting of 6 items related to their feeling toward work and 15 items to BAQL (Basic Quality of Life Scale). The survey produced the following results : 1. 20.7% of them had feelings of burden heavily, 18.0% of them slightly, while 61.3% to a certain extent; 2. The feelings of burden had more relation to their age than their working conditions (p < 00.05); 3. People with the feelings of burden had a higher sense that their work was hard and too much of a bother (p<0.01); 4. The feelings of burden were related to QOL (p<0.05), especially to physical condition and psychological sense of stability (p<0.01), as well as feeling of comfort, intercommunion and pleasure (p<0.05). From these results, we could guess that the feelings of burden tended to depend on thephysical condition at work and the degree of psychological sense of stability apart from the fact that pleasure and intercommunion were not interactively working. As QOL of the personnel might have a direct influence on users, a support system was thought necessary to achieve psychological sense of stability.departmental bulletin pape
Toward the enhancement of care services education to support elderly people in the local area.
P(論文)Students studying to become care workers need to understand the current state of senior citizens who live in their region through continuous volunteer participation. Locally situated courses are desirable for these volunteer experiences. As a result, the students did not take a limited view on the elderly as simply needing care, but took a broader view and treated the elderly as ordinary citizens. They were able to discover why healthy elderly people came to need care, what could be done to prevent the need for care, and how to relate to them in concrete terms so as to provide solutions to their problems. This demonstrates that, in order to enhance care services education in the future, we must offer appropriate support for not only in-school education and specialized intensive care giving, but also for light- to mid-level in-home elderly care, establishing a broad range of opportunities to learn about social welfare.departmental bulletin pape
The personal factors to participate in potential conflicts of provision personal assistance services : focus on pre-determined factors for which intervention is not possible.
P(論文)In the present study, we investigated from the consumer's perspective how six pre-determined factors for which intervention is not possible contribute to potential conflict between assistants and consumers of assistance services at an independent living center. A survey comprising 45 question items classified between the respective issues of responsibility was conducted on 100 consumers. Groups were created within each factor, and the degree of conflict for each item was compared. Inter group differences were observed for all factors. Correspondence analysis was conducted for each respective issue of responsibility and sample scores were calculated for each extracted axis. Multiple regression analysis was performed with the sample scores as objective variables and the six factors as explanatory variables. The two axes extracted from "issues of responsibility on the part of the consumer" were "understanding of the basic points of the service system"and "degree of reserved issues", with "the number of items of assistance received" as the contributing factor. The two axes extracted from "issues of responsibility on the part of the assistant" were "issues of self acknowledgement on the part of the assistant themselves" and "clarity of assistance content", with "the number of items of assistance received" and "age of consumer" as contributing factors.departmental bulletin pape
An inter-professional education course improves the communication skills and professionalism among students from four medical departments.
P(論文)Within our faculty, we are trying to establish a combined educational system catering to co-medical staff students in four departments; Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy, Orthoptics, and Clinical Engineering Technology. The aim of this education system was to instill professionalism and effective communication abilities in the students. We used a questionnaire to investigate the knowledge and attitudes needed for medical on-the-job-training. From this questionnaire, several keywords such as professional, specialist, job, and nursing were identified as being those that most thought were needed in medical on-the-job-training. Based on this data, we introduced two types of combined practical training into the curriculum; "communication skills improvement training" and "medical team conference using an imaginary case report". In these training courses, participants sought to communicate or explain aspects of their profession to participants from other departments. Participants combined each other's information related to diseases or disorders of imaginary cases, and from this, proposed appropriate ideas for interventional methods. We believe that the two practical courses were effective in achieving our goal of improving the communication ability and professionalism among co-medical specialist candidate students.departmental bulletin pape
