After the end of the war, the spread the concept of cultural property in post-war Japan, had an important meaning to citizens involved in commerce. In the confusion of that period, cultural properties needed to be protected by a new system. However, this had a negative effect on the wealthy. Traditionally, the wealthy layer had a monopoly on high culture, but now there was also a layer of the new wealthy. It was against this backdrop that the Horyuji Kondo mural fire incident occurred. Music Play to Open the Closed Heart of the Ill‐treated Child

    No full text
This study airns to examine the effect of improving sociability in abused children, through the implementation of "music play". The children were inclined toward a lack of sociability, which is a characteristic of abused children, and due to this they experienced difficulties in living in their nursing facility as well as in the kindergarten. To address this, "music play" was conducted in groups in the children's nursing facility twice a month, totaning 20 times (approximately 45-50 minutes for one session) over a period of eight months. The level of skill of child A was examined through a skill-level survey in which the levels of co-operation, self-restraint, and self-expression were assessed through an interview conducted by a childcare worker after the implementation of each music play session. Additionally, the method of evaluation used by the childcare worker in charge involved providing scores by utilizing a sociability scale questionnaire. This study demonstrated that "music play" developed sociability in abused children.departmental bulletin pape

A Study of Meaning and Relationship of Japanese Idol Training Groups for Chinese Youth

    No full text
P(論文)This paper presents an investigation of the true meaning and influence of Japanese popular culture, especially around idols, for Chinese youth. First, I investigate in the second section how Chinese youth and adult society perceive idols. Then, in the third section, I take a look at how the youth actually enjoy observing Japanese idols and attempt to relate to them as well as what sort of interaction and crossfertilization is occurring as a consequence of this: we can see a generational and cultural gap between the values of adult society and those of the youth community. In fact, Chinese youth are a prominent example of the casual transgression of an idealized image stipulated by adult society. What sort of influence does this popular youth culture prevailing in China and its psychological penetration have on society? This is a point that must be considered when adopting “Cool Japan” as a policy and trying to export culture. Simultaneously, this study suggests that the Japanese idol training system holds the potential for pluralistic interaction, growth, and meetings among youth; in other words, it holds a socioeducational significance.departmental bulletin pape

Current Status of Diagnosis in the Early Stage Cancer : Detection Systems for Circulating Tumor Cells

    No full text
P(論文)Currently available methods for detection of tumors such as X-ray, CT, US, and MRI have been well studied. However, a limiting factor in structural and anatomical imaging is the inability to specifically identify malignant tissues. A method for detecting Circulating Tumor cells (CTCs) simply, quickly, and highly sensitively is expected to be developed because CTCs are promising technologies for early diagnosis, prognosis, and response to therapy for cancer patients. This manuscript summarizes the current thinking on the value and issue of detection systems for CTCs.departmental bulletin pape
