    The objective of this project is to develop a web portal for the University of Khartoum with a user friendly interface that is able to: - Make it easy for people to find University information especially those related to them. - Provide a single entry point to a variety of information and resources. - Allow users to customize their pages.As web technologies advance, internet users become dissatisfied with services provided in a normal website. The user needs a place that brings all the information relevant to him together, instead of information posted in different places with hopes that someone will see it. So a university website should not just be a collection of webpages and the user should be able to find his way easily to the information he needs. This project illustrates the design and implementation of a web portal for the University of Khartoum. The need for a web portal for the University of Khartoum comes from the observation that it doesn‟t have a single entry point for users to their personalized information. The system was implemented under Linux using open-source software

    In this thesis, Overview of smart antenna System concepts,how they work, Performance and Benefits had been chosen to study. By modelling a communication system contains a smart antenna system to show the improvement in Received Power, SNR and BER. Creating Array Factor and Directed the Pattern for both Linear and Planar Arrays. Generate the Signal, modulation and transmit it through channel expose with added Noise. Simulation and resultsobtained Using MATLAB toindicated Preference of using smart antenna over conventional single element antennaand it Provide a way better performanRapidly and Emerging trends of mobile communication and ever growing demand of mobile users created the need for new technologies that could satisfy this need under limited bandwidth provided to telecom companies .Smart antenna systems are one of these technologies which could provide directed radiation pattern towards desired direction , better capacity and reduce interference .which affects used bandwidth antennas are not smart; it is the overall system that tell them what to do is smart. Smart antenna Systems had two main parts Beam forming, which the radiation pattern is shaped and directed through it, and Direction of Arrival (DOA) algorithm that detects the user‘s location and uses it to direct the pattern. The antennas in the array interact constructively in the desired direction and destructively in other directions.     DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A CONTROL TOWER CRANE BY IR REMOTE CONTROL

    The main objective of the project is to design robust, fast, and practical controllers for tower cranes to transfer loads from point to point in a short time as fast as possible and at the same time, keep the load swing small during the transfer process and completely eliminate it at the load destination. Moreover variations of the system parameters, such as the load weight are taken into account.A tower crane is one of the major items of equipment used in the construction of high-rise buildings. However, crane operators do not receive adequate information, such as the target space conditions and the material being lifted, to control the crane. This limitation degrades productivity and safety. This study describes a prototype of a tower crane equipped with wireless control (IR remote control) technology. With these advanced technologies, the tower crane can provide the crane operator with an enhanced view of the work space and various other functions providing up-to-date material status. The tower crane can also provide faster information flow with greater accuracy and improved driving efficiency. The tower crane was used to test its performance. The main objective of the project is to design robust, fast, and practical controllers for tower cranes to transfer loads from point to point in a short time as fast as possible and at the same time, keep the load swing small during the transfer process and completely eliminate it at the load destination. Moreover variations of the system parameters, such as the load weight are taken into account. The results confirmed considerable improvement in operational speed and significantly enhanced performance in workplace safety and communication efficiency
