f A FILE SHARING SERVICE FOR UNIVERSITIES BASED ON CLOUD COMPUTING
the project is intended to represent one of the services based on the cloud to make students and teachers capable of sharing files into the internet with friendly and secure environment which works as Facebook for sharing files with privilege of arranged and secure usage to both sides.Cloud computing is considered one of the most reliable technologies that achieve both availability and high quality in cost effective way, it works on supplying the user with the desired resources and computer systems via the network, despite his limited local resources available at that time. User can use and control these resources through simple software interface that simplifies the process by ignoring the small details involved. software as a service is considered the most important implementation of cloud computing, which enables the users to share the software and consequently the hardware , to receive higher quality and cheaper paid service that is precisely selected from many other services provided by the software vender. software as service is a very wide concept that includes many of the internet services such as email, Google Documents, etc. in this thesis we managed to develop a software for files and books sharing among professors and students via the internet, in which professors can send and receive syllabus, home works and assignments in an easy, reliable and confident way. And it also provides security and confidentiality for students to submit their assignments
Single Phase Intelligent GSM Based Prepaid Energy Meter
In this project, the design and simulation of Intelligent GSM Based Prepaid Energy Meter has been presented. This system enables Short Message Service (SMS) recharge; accurate calculation of facility’s consumed energy and displays the remaining credit. In electricity generation, transmission and distribution, energy metering plays a vital role for accurate and precise measurement of electricity. Like any other commodity, energy is being measured and monitored for more than 100 years and many new technologies have evolved to derive more benefit from metering systems. In this paper, the design and simulation of Intelligent GSM Based Prepaid Energy Meter has been presented. This system enables Short Message Service (SMS) recharge; accurate calculation of facility’s consumed energy and displays the remaining credit. The energy meter provides the utility company with predefined regular updates of the user’s account through retrieval of the remaining balance of the meter, this is done through SMS. The system enables the utility company to send updated consumption rates to the meter every 12 hours. This system was designed and implemented using Hardware as well as Software. The hardware consisted of analog and digital electronic components while the software was a code that has been written onto the microcontroller in C programming language. A small load had been used in the system design (100 watt Lamp). If fully implemented, this system will improve the utility company efficiency, knowledge of electricity demand trends and needs and availability of up to date customers’ consumption data. This system will ensure high customer satisfaction resulting from easy charging, controlled consumption and threshold alarms. This will have overall effect on the rationalization of the country energy consumption and time management
LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND THEIR IMPLEMINTATION ISSUES
n this project was studied Moodle system; start with the computer network course-as an example- and work for all faculties and departments in the university to be included in this system.Learning management systems (LMSs) are very important tools in learning environment. LMSs are used to complement the role of teachers in the traditional face- to -face learning to improve the learning process. One of the most powerful LMSs is Moodle. In this work we studied Moodle system; start with the computer network course-as an example- and we will work for all faculties and departments in the university to be included in this system
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DOUBLE-INTEGRAL CONTROL EXPERIMENTATION BOARD
the project is a classical experiment that exemplifies control theory fundamentals and methods of control. This experiment called double integral system control experimentation board. This experiment called double integral system control experimentation board. An experimentation board was designed and implemented demonstrating all aspects of continuous and discrete approaches that stabilize the control while operating in servo mode. The model contains motor, metal arm, webcam and computer. MATLAB has been chosen as a controller of the experimentation board, connected to it via a parallel cable & a parallel board. Using MATLAB has provided all the needed functions in order to execute the experiment. Making use of the Background subtraction technique with MATLAB program we could trace the arm by a webcam and laser source

DNP3 analysis and implementations
This project aims to simulate DNP3 master and slave devices that are connected through serial communication.to analyze and detect how commands and data are transferred between them by this protocol.Distributed network protocol version 3.0 (DNP3) is one of the most dominant open SCADA protocol. It is the telecommunications standard that defines communications between Master stations, remote telemetry units (RTUs) and other intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). It was developed to achieve interoperability among systems in the electric utility, oil , gas, water/waste water and security industries. GIS interface for SCADA systems is one of the modern technique that allow the operator on the SCADA central control site to have more visual and noticeable information about the electrical distribution line rather than the traditional ways that used usually. This project aims to simulate DNP3 master and slave devices that are connected through serial communication.to analyze and detect how commands and data are transferred between them by this protocol. The project also aim to create GIS interface for small part of data that simulate some electrical line status on the slave device .this data is to be transmitted to the master device by DNP3 protocol and displayed as real time data on developed GIS map. The project aim has been met successfully and the serial connection between master and slave PCs and detection and analysis of data transfer by DNP3 protocol was achieved and the real time GIS interface was created successfully. Some limitations were discovered and must be eliminated in the future
Study of Next Generation Networks (NGN) Using simulation modeling
The main goal of this project is to examine the Next Generation Network’s capability in providing a reliable voiceThis thesis aims to study the Next Generation Network (NGN), which refer to the idea of one network that cannot only cost effectively, deliver and manage all the voice, video, and data communications option available today, but one that can also adopt and grow to handle any new communication options that will inevitably evolve. Moreover, the main goal of this thesis is to examine the Next Generation Network’s capability in providing a reliable voice communication service while keeping the cost at minimum. Next Generation Network (NGN) uses the IP network as its core network, i.e. voice is transferred over the IP network (VoIP). Thus, the VoIP implementation in NGN is included in this thesis. This implementation is done in stages. Firstly the desired scenario must be specified either PC to PC or PC to PHONE or PHONE to PHONE which is our concern. Then, an appropriate signaling protocol is chosen for setting up the IP telephony session between the scenario’s parties, the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is our preferred option over the NGN protocols. After the signaling takes place, the parties are now ready to transfer media using the Real Time Protocol (RTP). Hence, in order to achieve the thesis’s goal, the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) has been simulated. SIP entities and the software application components used for simulation purposes are built and interconnected using Java based software packages. The results obtained from this simulation of SIP VoIP application which works on platforms that support NGN protocol functionalities did not deliver perfect level of quality standards, but it had offered voice with acceptable limits in addition to the unlimited bandwidth due to the packet-based IP network. These results would definitely serve both service provider and customer side's benefit
Earthing Design Using Finite Element Method
in this project presented new method to design an earthing systems using Finite Element Method
(FEM)Earthing is the art of making a connection to earth in order to protect the
power system’s equipments and the personnel who work in it from the
danger of electrical shocks
A new method to design an earthing systems using Finite Element Method
(FEM) is presented in this project.
The earthing system is considered to be a rod electrode buried vertically in
the ground. The resistance of the system which is a very important factor in
the design process is calculated using Finite Element Method.
Finite Element Method is used to estimate the solution of the partial
differential equation that governs the system behavior. COMSOL
Multiphysics which is one of the packages that work with the FEM is used as
a tool in this design.
Finally the values of the resistance obtained by COMSOL Multiphysics are
compared with the proven analytical formula values for the ground
resistance, in order to prove the work done with COMSOL Multiphysics
