EFECTO DEL TIEMPO DE EXPOSICI 3N AL FUEGO EN LA RESISTENCIA A FLEXI 3N DE VIGAS DE HORMIG 3N ARMADO
Get PDFEn este art\uedculo se discute la resistencia a flexi\uf3n de vigas de hormig\uf3n armado de secci\uf3n transversal cuadrada, expuestas al fuego durante diferentes tiempos. Despu\ue9s de ser expuestas se enfriaron a temperatura ambiente durante 24 horas, momento en que se evaluaron mediante observaci\uf3n los cambios producidos. Las temperaturas alcanzadas oscilaron entre los 750\ub0C y 1050\ub0C. Mediante el ensayo ASTM C78 se determin\uf3 que la resistencia a flexi\uf3n disminuye dr\ue1sticamente conforme aumenta la temperatura y tiempo de exposici\uf3n de las vigas al fuego, mostrando diferentes signos de degradaci\uf3n que van desde una calcinaci\uf3n leve y cambio de coloraci\uf3n, a inclusive la perdida de secci\uf3n del elemento. Esta investigaci\uf3n mostr\uf3 que la resistencia a flexi\uf3n disminuy\uf3 en m\ue1s del 90% con respecto a las vigas no expuestas al fuego, resultado obtenido cuando se alcanz\uf3 una temperatura de 1050\ub0C a 180 minutos de exposici\uf3n al fuego.

ABSTRACT
This paper discusses the flexural strength of reinforced concrete beams of square cross section, exposed to fire during different times. After being exposed to fire the beams were left to cool at room temperature for 24 hours, the changes produced by this phenomenon were evaluated by observation. The temperatures reached oscillated between 750 \ub0C and 1050 \ub0C. Through the ASTM C78 test it was determined that the flexural strength decreases drastically as the temperature and exposure time of the beams increases, showing different signs of degradation ranging from a slight calcination and change of coloration to the loss of section of the element. This research showed that the flexural strength decreased by more than 90% with respect to the beams not exposed to fire, this result was obtained when a temperature of 1050 \ub0C was reached at 180 minutes of exposure to fire.

ABSTRACT
The work "Become a Guru of Database" presented by the author Leonardo Ponte Cordero, discusses from an ethical, managerial and even spiritual point of view technical aspects of database design and manipulation using the Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL-based Programming Language (PL / SQL) through a database manager under LINUX environment. It is organized into five (5) broad topics ranging from the DML (Data Manipulation Language) instructions to the creation of PL/SQL Program Blocks, useful for database administration duties. It is an easy and enjoyable reading, recommended not only for undergraduate and graduate students in areas of IT, but also for professionals whose work is related to database administration.

CARACTER\ucdSTICAS DEL MERCADO EDUCATIVO UNIVERSITARIO VENEZOLANO
Get PDFDesde la perspectiva del marketing, las Instituciones de Educaci\uf3n Universitarias (IEU), necesitan definir y conocer el mercado educativo, para proceder a segmentarlo y presentar una oferta acad\ue9mica atractiva. De este modo, este ensayo presenta sus principales atributos que demuestran que se trata de un mercado altamente competitivo pero, al mismo tiempo regulado, ya que concurren m\ufaltiples oferentes y demandantes de servicios educativos y el Estado dicta pautas que le aseguran la mayor porci\uf3n. Adem\ue1s, se presentan las caracter\uedsticas principales tanto de la oferta como de la demanda y se argumenta que la segmentaci\uf3n se realiza con base en la duraci\uf3n de las carreras, la territorialidad y la especializaci\uf3n.

ABSTRACT
From the perspective of marketing, the University Education Institutions need to define and know the educational market, to proceed to segment it and present an attractive academic offer. In this way, this essay presents its main attributes that demonstrate that it is a very competitive market, but at the same time regulated, because there are multiple offerers and demanders for educational services and the State creates the guidelines that assure it the largest portion of the market. In addition, the main characteristics offer and demand are presented and it is argued that segmentation is based on the duration of careers, territoriality and specialization.

IMAGINARIOS SOCIALES DE UN EDUCADOR: EL DILEMA PARADIGM\uc1TICO EN LA INVESTIGACI 3N CIENT\ucdFICA
No full textLas investigaciones realizadas en cualquier \ue1mbito acad\ue9mico o cient\uedfico buscan dar aportes significativos y ben\ue9volos a cualquier sector de la sociedad. En este sentido, las cosmovisiones de los protagonistas involucrados en estas indagaciones deben ser consideradas al momento de llevarlas a cabo, pues son vitales para desarrollar cualquier investigaci\uf3n. Por ello, es importante tener presente los diferentes enfoques, sus paradigmas y m\ue9todos respectivos para ser asertivos al abordar el fen\uf3meno social a estudiar. Brevemente considerar, las caracter\uedsticas del contexto, objeto de estudio, inter\ue9s del investigador y por ende sus dimensiones ontol\uf3gicas, epistemol\uf3gicas, metodol\uf3gicas, axiol\uf3gicas y procedimentales. Sin embargo, estas aseveraciones mencionadas en determinados instantes son obviadas y dejadas a un lado, ocasionando incongruencia en los contenidos desarrollados y los datos recopilados. Aunado a la pol\ue9mica y confrontaci\uf3n existente entre los defensores del enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, que en la mayor\ueda de los casos expresan tener la verdad absoluta al culminar sus estudios investigativos. Motivado por tales hechos, el presente ensayo expresa algunas reflexiones del autor, que pretenden coadyuvar en diseminar los desencuentros cognitivos de este tipo de tem\ue1tica para buscar vislumbrar un consenso que brinde aportes en pro del ser humano y sus vivencias. Las m\ufaltiples posturas adoptadas por los indagadores deben respetarse pero de igual manera la forma de emprender, conocer y entender las m\ufaltiples realidades existentes..

ABSTRACT
Research carried out in any academic or scientific field seeks to provide meaningful and benevolent contributions to any sector of society. In this sense, the cosmovisions of the protagonists involved in these inquiries must be considered at the time of carrying them out. Therefore it is important to keep in mind the different approaches, their paradigms and respective methods to be assertive when approaching the social phenomenon to study. Briefly consider the characteristics of the context, object of study, interest of the researcher and therefore its ontological, epistemological, methodological, axiological and procedural dimensions. However, these assertions mentioned at certain moments are ignored and left aside, causing inconsistency in the content developed and the data collected. In addition to the controversy and confrontation between the proponents of the quantitative and qualitative approach, which in most cases express absolute truth at the end of their research studies. Motivated by such facts, the present essay expresses some reflections of the author, who intend to contribute in disseminating the cognitive misunderstandings of this type of topic to seek to envision a consensus that provides contributions in favor of the human being and his experiences. The multiple positions taken by the inquirers must be respected, but in the same way the way of undertaking, knowing and understanding the multiple existing realities.

EL MODELO SERVQUAL EN LA EVALUACI 3N DE LA CALIDAD DE SERVICIO DE LOS CENTRALES AZUCAREROS
Get PDFEl prop\uf3sito de la investigaci\uf3n es analizar el sistema de gesti\uf3n de la calidad de servicio y satisfacci\uf3n del cliente mediante el modelo SERVQUAL en los centrales azucareros del estado Portuguesa durante el a\uf1o 2016. El estudio se sustenta en un dise\uf1o no experimental, transeccional descriptivo, siendo el tipo de la investigaci\uf3n de campo, apoyado en una investigaci\uf3n documental, con un nivel de profundidad en el an\ue1lisis de tipo evaluativo. Se identifico dos universos de estudio, el primero compuesto por los centrales A y B, y el segundo por sus clientes externos, a los que se les aplico un cuestionario a escala Likert para levantar la informaci\uf3n. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que los clientes externos del Central A presentan un nivel de satisfacci\uf3n medio ya que esta empresa no cumple con las caracter\uedsticas demandadas por el cliente, detect\ue1ndose debilidades referente a falta de compromiso de la organizaci\uf3n con el sistema de gesti\uf3n de calidad implementado. Por otra parte, los clientes externos del Central B demuestran estar conformes con la calidad de servicio percibido, evidenciando un nivel de satisfacci\uf3n alto. Esto demuestra las fortalezas basados en el compromiso que tiene todo el personal de la organizaci\uf3n en lograr satisfacer las necesidades del cliente.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research is to analyze the management system of service quality and customer satisfaction through the SERVQUAL model in the sugar mills of the Portuguese state during 2016. The study is based on a non-experimental, descriptive transactional design, being the type of field research, supported by a documentary research, with a level of depth in the analysis of evaluative type. Two study universes were identified, the first consisting of the A and B centrals, and the second by their external clients, to whom a Likert-scale questionnaire was applied to collect the information. The results obtained show that the external customers of Central A present an average level of satisfaction since this company does not comply with the characteristics demanded by the client, detecting weaknesses referring to lack of commitment of the organization with the quality management system implemented. On the other hand, the external clients of Central B demonstrate to be satisfied with the perceived quality of service, evidencing a high level of satisfaction. This demonstrates the strengths based on the commitment that all the personnel of the organization have in achieving to satisfy the needs of the client.

LA PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL EN EL DESEMPE 1O ECON 3MICO DE VENEZUELA
Get PDFLos promotores de desarrollo y la creatividad deben ser reconocidos y respetados a trav\ue9s de la preservaci\uf3n de los procesos creativos y de invenci\uf3n y otorgando al autor la protecci\uf3n de sus derechos como propietario. Esto es un incentivo que promueve la investigaci\uf3n, el progreso cultural, el adelanto cient\uedfico y desarrollo tecnol\uf3gico, que garantiza a largo plazo avances tecnol\uf3gicos y un id\uf3neo desarrollo socioecon\uf3mico. El objetivo es analizar el comportamiento de la Propiedad Intelectual en Venezuela y de los registros de derechos de protecci\uf3n en los \ufaltimos diez a\uf1os. La investigaci\uf3n es anal\uedtica con m\ue9todo deductivo, de tipo no experimental, la t\ue9cnica es la observaci\uf3n, teniendo como instrumento de recopilaci\uf3n una gu\ueda de observaci\uf3n estad\uedstica de la Organizaci\uf3n Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI) y de las estad\uedsticas del Servicio Aut\uf3nomo de Propiedad Intelectual (SAPI) en el per\uedodo comprendido entre 2007-2017. Se concluye que el registro de marcas durante los diez a\uf1os evidencia la importancia de este tipo de protecci\uf3n para el desarrollo econ\uf3mico y cultural; preocupa el bajo n\ufamero de registro de patente y el no otorgamiento de los certificados de patente desde 2002 por cuanto ello no incentiva al desarrollo de la inventiva, fomenta la protecci\uf3n fuera del pa\ueds y bajos indicadores tecnol\uf3gicos nacionales.

ABSTRACT
Promoters of development and creativity must be recognized and respected through the preservation of the creative and inventive processes and granting the author the protection of his rights as owner. This is an incentive that promotes research, cultural progress, scientific advance and technological development, which guarantees in the long term, technological advances and an adequate socio-economic development. The objective is to analyze the behavior of Intellectual Property in Venezuela and the protection rights registries in the last ten years. The research is analytical with non-experimental deductive method; the technique is observation, having as a collection tool a statistical observation guide from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the statistics of the Intellectual Property Autonomous Service (SAPI) in the period between 2007-2017. It is concluded that the trademark registration during the ten years shows the importance of this type of protection for economic and cultural development; concerns the low number of patent registrations and the non-granting of patent certificates since 2002 because it does not encourage the inventiveness development, encourages protection outside the country and low national technological indicators.

Preservar os processos criativos e de inven\ue7\ue3o, promotores do desenvolvimento e a criatividade dever\ue1 ser reconhecida e respeitada, outorgando ao autor a prote\ue7\ue3o de seus direitos como propriet\ue1rio, incentivo que promove a pesquisa, o progresso cultural, o avan\ue7o cient\uedfico e o desenvolvimento tecnol\uf3gico, que garante ao longo prazo avan\ue7os tecnol\uf3gicos e um id\uf4neo desenvolvimento socioecon\uf3mico. O objetivo \ue9 analisar o comportamento da Propriedade Intelectual em Venezuela dos registros de direitos de prote\ue7\ue3o nos \ufaltimos dez anos. A pesquisa \ue9 anal\uedtica com m\ue9todo dedutivo, de tipo n\ue3o experimental, a t\ue9cnica \ue9 a observa\ue7\ue3o, tendo como instrumento de coleta, uma guia de observa\ue7\ue3o estat\uedstica da Organiza\ue7\ue3o Mundial da Propriedade Intelectual (OMPI) e das estat\uedsticas do Servi\ue7o Aut\uf3nomo da Propriedade Intelectual (SAPI) nos anos 2007-2017. Conclui-se que o registro de marcas durante os dez anos evidencia a import\ue2ncia deste tipo de prote\ue7\ue3o para o desenvolvimento econ\uf3mico e cultural; preocupa o baixo n\ufamero de registro de patente e a n\ue3o outorga dos certificados de patente desde 2002 por quanto isto n\ue3o incentiva o desenvolvimento de inventiva, fomenta a prote\ue7\ue3o fora do pa\ueds e baixos indicadores tecnol\uf3gicos nacional.

We present the case of female patient with Cystoisosporiosis, diagnosed by direct stool examination, where Cystoisospora belli Oocysts with sporoblast were observed inside, treated with Metronidazole, presenting clinical and parasitological cure.
