Evaluation of Parking Management Policies in Kutai Kartanegara Regency
This study examines the evaluation of parking policies in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Parking issues are interesting to study because they cause social problems and have yet to contribute much to local revenue. The government plays a huge role in this parking issue, and a policy evaluation is needed to optimize this role. The research method used is qualitative, which attempts to explain research problems related to parking issues in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The policy evaluation used is the CIPP approach, which views policies more contextually and holistically. The policy context shows there is still little room for the government to implement its policies. This role can be developed with various policy innovations. Policy inputs that discuss policy planning are optimal but can be created by providing bottom-up planning space in parking policies. The policy process related to policy issues that have been implemented are not innovative and are carried out the same as before. The involvement of parking attendants is also not optimal and can be done with more professional management. Policy products still need to benefit the community in terms of local revenue from parking

The Role of Institutions in the Economic Development of East Asian Countries
This paper discusses the role of institutions in East Asian economic development. In the economic development of East Asia, institutional factors have a significant role and are different from economic development models in other countries. The concept of new institutional economics (NIE) provides a theoretical basis for understanding the success of economic development in the region. Several authors such as Ranis, Chang, and Haggard have examined the role of institutions in East Asia’s economic development. In addition, East Asia’s economic development experience has historically also had relevance in formulating development strategies in developing countries. This paper aims to identify the institutional factors that determine the success of economic development in East Asia and provide strategic inputs for economic development policies in developing countries
Closer look at circulating nitric oxide levels and their association with polycystic ovary syndrome: A meta-analytical exploration
Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) casts a wide shadow over the reproductive health of millions of women worldwide, emerging as one of the most complex and multifaceted endocrine disorders. In addition, nitric oxide (NO) stands out as a pivotal signaling molecule, orchestrating a symphony of physiological processes. Objective: This meta-analysis aims to elucidate the association between NO levels and PCOS, investigate the potential of NO as a biomarker for PCOS diagnosis, and evaluate its clinical significance.Materials and Methods: A systematic review was conducted in several electronic databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Scopus, EMBASE, and Google Scholar, to identify relevant studies published up to January 2024. Standardized mean difference and 95% CI were calculated using a random effects model to assess the overall effect size. Meta-regressions and subgroup analysis were performed to investigate sources of heterogeneity. Results: A meta-analysis of 14 studies with 1171 participants showed that NO levels were significantly lower in the PCOS group than in the control group. The pooled analysis yielded a standardized mean difference of -0.482; 95% CI: -0.908 to -0.056; p = 0.027. Subgroup analyses further demonstrated variations in NO levels between different PCOS phenotypes and in relation to metabolic parameters. Conclusion: This meta-analysis provides evidence for an association between PCOS and dysregulated NO levels and suggests a potential role of NO as a biomarker in the diagnosis and pathogenesis of PCOS
Behavior Approach for Autism in School to Improve Attention, Social Interaction, and Communication
Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) face many challenges in educational settings in areas such as attention, communication, and social skill. In Indonesia, ASD is increasingly prevalent, affecting about 1-2% of the child population, although many cases remain undiagnosed due to limited awareness. The study explores the effectiveness of behavior modification techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which relies on positive reinforcement to improve attention and reduce maladaptive behaviors like wandering during tasks. Through a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, the research focuses on three children diagnosed with ASD. Shaping and positive reinforcement, including praise and rewards, are applied to increase the duration of their attention and task focus. Results show significant improvements in the participants’ attention span and reduced wandering behavior, confirming that behavioral interventions effectively manage ASD-related challenges in school. The study advocates further integrating behavioral approaches with communication-based therapies for optimal outcomes

Becoming flourishing will help people to live more meaningfully. A flourishing person believes in his ability to have broad and satisfying social relationships. It’s necessary for marine students that projection to be professional workers who keep our nation within maritime borders between countries. This study aimed to determine the influence of self-efficacy, personality, and perceived social support on flourishing in marine students. It used a quantitative correlational method using a simple random sampling technique that involved 63 marine students. Measurements were performed using the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE), Ten Items Personality Inventory (TIPI), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and Flourishing Scale (FS). Data analysis used multiple linear regression. This study showed that marine students’ self-efficacy, the extraversion and contentiousness of their personality, and their perceived social support can be predictors of their flourishing
Screening for Developmental Delays: Descriptive Study of Children Between the Ages of Two-and-a-Half and Six Years
Developmental delays remain a concern for educators, parents, and policymakers. Early identification of developmental delays can facilitate the provision of early intervention treatments. This research aims to show the characteristics of developmental delays in children aged two-and-a-half to six years and to investigate the influence of gender on the prevalence of these delays. This study is a descriptive quantitative non-experimental investigation. The sample comprised of 155 participants, and data were collected via the Denver Developmental Screening Test II (DDST II), performed individually. The research findings indicated that 52% of participants exhibited poor growth. The linguistic dimension appears as the most significant indicator of developmental delay relative to other dimensions. Men and women have notable developmental disparities in adaptive fine motor skills. Based on empirical evidence, educators, guardians, and policymakers can implement preventative and promotion initiatives
