Public governance and leadership are essential for advancing sustainable tourism development in the face of growing global volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). Through a qualitative methodology, this research examines the dynamics of effective tourism governance in two Indonesian villages (Glawan and Nyatnyono). This research investigates the influence of leadership practices, community engagement, and collaborative governance on tourism growth in rural areas through comprehensive interviews, field observations, and focus group discussions with local leaders, community members, and tourism stakeholders. The results underscore the significance of adaptive leadership, promoting collaboration, transparent decision making, and community empowerment in managing VUCA settings and enhancing resilient and sustainable tourism governance. The research highlights the need for tailored policy interventions that align with local values and interests, creating a collaborative framework to ensure that tourism growth benefits the entire community while preserving cultural and environmental resources
The Effectiveness of Implementing the Integrated Dynamic Archival Information System (SRIKANDI) at the Ministry of Religion Office of Lhokseumawe City
This research examines the effectiveness of implementing the Integrated Dynamic Archiving Information System (SRIKANDI) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Lhokseumawe City. Based on efforts to realize a more effective and efficient government through the utilization of technology and informatics as mandated in Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia number 95 of 2018 concerning the electronic-based government system. Through the Circular Letter of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Number 31 of 2022, SRIKANDI has been mandatory since December 1, 2022, aimed at supporting the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) by enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency in archive management. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative analysis method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results show that there are four obstacles faced in the implementation of SRIKANDI. First, the low understanding and skills of employees in using the application; second, the lack of guidance and socialization from the leadership; third, the limitations of facilities and infrastructure; and fourth, the lack of coordination between work units. The efforts to achieve effectiveness include enhancing training, forming special teams, improving system reliability, and providing adequate facilities. This research concludes that although the implementation of SRIKANDI is not yet optimal, there are still several obstacles. Improvement and enhancement measures are continuously being carried out to achieve more efficient and transparent archive management in order to support the comprehensive implementation of SPBE
Evaluating the Effectiveness of Public Policy Sustainable Tourism Development in Indonesia: A Comprehensive Systematic Literature Review
Sustainable tourism development is increasingly recognized as vital for balancing economic growth with environmental conservation, particularly in regions like Indonesia, where tourism is a crucial driver of the economy. However, the effectiveness of current public policies in promoting sustainable tourism remains to be determined. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of public policies on sustainable tourism development in Indonesia through a comprehensive systematic literature review. A rigorous selection of studies was conducted using the PICOC (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Context) framework, analyzing successful and underperforming policies. The review identifies significant gaps, including poor policy coordination, stakeholder conflicts, and resource limitations, which hinder the successful implementation of sustainable practices. The findings suggest that enhancing policy integration, increasing stakeholder engagement, and incorporating advanced technologies for better resource management are critical for achieving sustainability goals. The study provides evidence-based recommendations for policymakers to improve Indonesia’s tourism policies’ efficiency and adaptability. These insights are essential for aligning public policies with the sustainable development goals (SDGs), ensuring long-term sustainability in the rapidly expanding tourism sector

Evaluation of utilization of amplified blastocoel fluid DNA gel electrophoresis band intensity as an additional minimally invasive approach in embryo selection: A cross-sectional study
Background: Embryo selection for transfer is critical in assisted reproduction. The presence of DNA in the blastocoel cavity of human blastocysts is assumed to be a consequence of common preimplantation chromosomal abnormalities.
Objective: This study examined the relationship between the amount of blastocoel fluid (BF) DNA and the band intensity of amplified BF-DNA in gel electrophoresis, considering the influence of ploidy status.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study categorizes blastocysts into 2 groups based on the array comparative genomic hybridization results by trophectoderm biopsy -the euploid and aneuploid group. After morphological scoring, a biopsy of BF was performed for whole genome amplification, followed by an assessment of band intensity and BF-DNA quantification. The relationship between BF-DNA levels, band intensity, and ploidy status were analyzed.
Results: The level of BF-DNA was higher in the aneuploid group compared to the euploid group, but the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.2). We observed that the band intensity was affected by the ploidy status of the embryos, although this difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.059). Notably, electrophoresis band of all embryos with chromosomal loss was strong. No correlation was observed between embryo morphology and chromosomal ploidy (p = 0.8).
Conclusion: Our findings indicate that BF-DNA band intensity on agarose gel is not currently applicable for preimplantation embryo selection. It seems that embryos with chromosomal loss are more prone to DNA release to BF. The disrelation between embryo morphology and ploidy status represents the necessity of minimally invasive embryo screening methods based on ploidy status

The Role of the Prophetic Sunnah in Achieving Sustainable Development Through Preserving the Natural Environment: A Descriptive Inductive Study
This research explores a timeless and universal issue: the preservation of the natural environment in the Prophetic Sunnah and the promotion of its sustainable development. The Sunnah provides a comprehensive framework for environmental stewardship, emphasizing the protection of public spaces, such as roads and natural landscapes, through practices like afforestation, the prohibition of polluting natural sites, and the encouragement of cleanliness. It mandates the removal of harm and waste from public areas, promising divine reward for such actions, as exemplified in the Prophetic teaching that removing obstacles from the path is an act of charity. These principles were diligently observed by the Companions of the Prophet (may Allah be pleased with them) and upheld by successive generations, underscoring the practical application of the Sunnah in fostering environmental conservation and sustainability. This study specifically focuses on two fundamental components of the natural environment: vegetation and roads. It examines how the Sunnah laid down principles for the responsible management of environmental resources, demonstrating that Islamic teachings preceded modern environmental legislation in addressing key ecological concerns, albeit without encompassing all aspects comprehensively. The research is structured into two main sections: First Section: A conceptual analysis; Second Section: An exploration of the role of the Prophetic Sunnah in advancing sustainable development through environmental preservation
Validation of the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) in the Context of Indonesian Muslims
This study aimed to validate the Indonesian version of the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) for a Muslim population aged 18 to 50, as the scale had not been previously validated in Indonesia. The adaptation process involved translation, expert reviews, and a pilot test. A total of 231 participants completed the scale, and the data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and reliability testing. The CFA results revealed a robust model fit, indicated by a Chi-square value of 122.842 and a p-value of 0.069, along with high goodness-of-fit indices, including a CMIN/DF of 1.216, RMSEA of 0.031, GFI of 0.94, and CFI of 0.98. All items demonstrated factor loadings above 0.50, confirming the validity of the scale. Additionally, the DSES exhibited excellent internal consistency, with a Composite Reliability (CR) of 0.94 and an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) of 0.51. These findings support the DSES’s use in measuring daily spiritual experiences in Indonesia and highlight its relevance for academic and practical applications in predominantly Muslim contexts. Future studies could explore the DSES in other religious contexts and investigate its predictive validity for mental health outcomes
Empathy Care Training to Improve Prosocial Behavior of Regular Students in Inclusive Elementary Schools
Inclusive education is one of the policies of the Indonesian government which aims to ensure that every citizen, whether they are regular students or have special needs, are educated equally. Inclusive education services are expected to help children understand, accept, and appreciate the differences between them. Regular students who attend inclusive schools must exhibit prosocial behavior because regular students and students with special needs will continue to meet and interact directly or indirectly. Providing training in the form of empathy care training is expected to increase empathy, which will affect prosocial behavior. This study aims to see the effectiveness of empathy care training in improving the prosocial behavior of regular students in inclusive elementary schools. It uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest design. The measuring instrument used is a prosocial scale. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with ten subjects. Data analysis used the Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that empathy care training was effective in improving the prosocial behavior of regular students in inclusive elementary schools (Sig 0.000 <0.05)
Eight in Ten Multimorbid Patients Experience High Treatment Burden: A Cross-sectional Survey in an Outpatient Setting
Background: Multimorbidity is linked with poor patient outcomes, polypharmacy, and treatment burden. Treatment burden is the workload needed by patients to manage their multiple chronic conditions. We aimed to assess treatment burden and its predictors in patients with multimorbidity at the internal medicine clinic of the Omdurman Teaching Hospital.
Methods: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study. Patients were eligible for inclusion if they were aged ≥55 years and had ≥2 self-reported chronic conditions. Treatment burden was measured through the Multimorbidity Treatment Burden Questionnaire (MTBQ). Multivariable logistic regression was used to predict the factors associated with a high treatment burden. SPSS V.26 was used for statistical analysis.
Results: A total of 256 participants were recruited (the median age was 64 years, and 39.1% were men). About 47% of participants had more than three chronic conditions, with hypertension (89.5%) and diabetes (82.0%) being the most common. Eighty-one percent of the participants had a high treatment burden with a median score of 40.4 (28.8–51.9). Arranging appointments (83.7%), seeing several health professionals (83.5%), and collecting prescription medicines (83.2%) were perceived as difficult tasks. Aspects related to treatment (collection of, taking, and paying for medicines) were the most difficult as perceived by participants. Low education (OR = 10.46; CI 3.01–36.39; P = 0.000), living outside Khartoum (OR = 4.24; CI 1.22–14.73; P = 0.023), having more chronic conditions (OR = 1.75; CI 1.03-2.97; P = 0.038), and taking more regular medications (OR = 1.32; CI 1.09–1.61; P = 0.004) were independently associated with high treatment burden.
Conclusion: A high treatment burden was common and was primarily incurred by difficulties in interacting with many healthcare providers and obtaining prescribed medicines. More attention should be given to assessing and supporting patients with multimorbidity to reduce the burden through organized and integrated healthcare services
